I just hope they would release a Kaby Lake version of this with support for 16GB RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD, and they need to reduce the top and bottom bezels. Otherwise it's a great alternative to MacBook, especially with Ubuntu loaded on it. However the battery life is indeed pathetic compared to MacBook.
The G2, 7th Gen should be coming out later this year. A really great alternative is the Razer Blade Stealth 2017 edition. Personally chose the Razer over the EliteBook. Fantastic business ultrabook.
Great information! I'm considering this laptop & trying to figure out if the hotkeys are reversible. Do you have to press down fn key to adjust speaker volume or screen resolution? If so is there a setting in the bios that allows you to enable/disable fn key lock? Thanks for any information.
Hi, you do have to use the fn key + one of the function keys to enable it. Volume, brightness of backlit keyboard etc. Not sure about the BIOS enable/disable option. Thanks for your comments.
Hi great video! Keep it up! I’ve got a question though... Does the HP EliteBook Folio G1 have Face recognition? I need to get something like this for school
Great for most demanding tasks. The M7 processor model is fine, not as good as the 'full fat' CPUs but its a balance between performance and battery life.
Battery Life at the 1080p version is not really better at all. I did just send the second device back as there were a few problems: 1. Both Notebooks did not rest flat/plan on the table without wiggling. 2. The left speaker was scratching at high tones (At both devices, too) Did you experience any of these problems??
3:57 - yes, this is fanless!
Your audio is really low. Otherwise, a great video!
Thanks for the comment. We've taken on board the audio for future videos, cheers :)
hey just checking if this laptop uses scissor-switch mechanism for its keyboard?

The battery lasts how many hours after full charge?

My hp folio g1 doesn't work for shutdown option by pressing Akt+ f4?
Hi great video! Keep it up!

+DJ Boss Thanks for the comments :) Yes, Windows Hello face recognition is supported.
Great review. I love the honesty :D
Thanks so much, really appreciate it :)
Would you recommend this for making music? As in running pro tools 12

Do all of the 4K options include a touchscreen? Or is there a non touch 4k?
Not 100% but I've only seen 4K touch options on the HP Elite Folio. Non touch is limited to the FHD 1080P models.
What better think pad x280 or hp elite book?
Tell me please
Urgent for me
Both good laptops. What will you use it for?

It's a shame that the battery life is weak on the EliteBook Folio. Otherwise a great device.
would you consider this a good buy for a student ?
Hi, it's an excellent ultrabook. We loved using it, just wish the battery life was better on the 4K model but you can't have it all!
Is it Good for starter programming?
Yes, it has enough for basic programming and coding.
@@Dovecomputers thnx😊
gamming is not an issue on this device i enjou that!!
this or HP Elitebook x360?
We have to get our hands on the HP Spectre x360 for review, although the Elite Folio is a top ultrabook. ;)
