A friend and I have this joke that the grub father is the leader of the grub mafia. An organization that secretly controls hallownest from the shadows. She and I crack up anytime I bring it up. She even told me that she'd draw a grub in a mafia hat holding a gun.
I find interesting how you said in the video that grubs in real life may became a butterflie or a moth, and in a previous video, you made comparisons about how the Radiance looks like a moth and created the moths, and the Pale King, after the wyrm form, looks like a butterflie. the grubs charms suggests that there's something sacred about them, maybe the Father Grub's plan was always to eat them all to maybe, in his metamorphosis, become something bigger like the Pale King or the Radiance?
Well, when we consider that some animal species are ovoviviparous, the idea of the female grub being a living egg sack does not sound too far off the mark.
My thinking with the collector's obsession with the grubs involves the Pale King. The Pale King did create the Collector after all. Perhaps he had the Collector gather the grubs for study. After the Pale King left, the Collector likely went insane with obsession because he only had that one order keeping him going. Insanity is the process of doing something over and over again, while expecting different results.
@@Radio_ink114 My guess is that was a freak accident, which does explain why the husk is found on the other side of hallownest in a corner of the Queen's garden.
What if the female grubs became grubberflys and leaves after her childs are born and male grub is taking care of the babies. Thats mean all of the grubs we save is grubfathers daughters. Just my opinion btw.

Female grubs give birth, then father grubs "consume" the grubs so they can become grubberflies
And male grubs don't turn into grubberflies, rather staying as a normal grub.
