  • In this episode of Unleashed With Katie Couric, NFL star Logan Ryan and his wife Ashley visit the Blue Pearl Animal Hospital in Clearwater, Florida with Katie. There, they get a tour of the facility with Dr. Pauline Bell and see the type of hospital the Ryan's dog Leo was treated for a life threatening infection six years ago. Logan and Ashley also take Katie back to their house where they introduce her to their dogs Leo and Nala, and show Katie their barn which serves as the headquarters for the Ryan Animal Rescue Foundation (RARF). RARF partners with animal-welfare organizations nationwide to promote adoption and provide financial and educational opportunities to better the lives of animals.

Thank you for the Memorial tribute to my son Jonathan Guerin at the end of your segment. He got so much joy from working with you, Katie and doing what he could to heal and home animals!❤️‍🩹

Pitbulls used to be called “Nanny Dogs” because of their gentle, nurturing, protective natures. Mine stayed right by my side 24/7 while I healed from a catastrophic illness. I didn’t ask her to, she just knew I needed her and she loved me.

Back in 2021, the wheaten terrier rescue that I volunteer for (Wheatens in Need) stepped in to help care for a 6-month-old wheaten named Tigger. He stepped on a cactus needle, it wasn’t adequately cared for, and he developed an infection. It was either euthanize him or he’d have to lose his leg. His family did not want to own a tripod, so our rescue stepped in and paid for his entire medical care. It was thousands of dollars in medical bills. One of the vets at Blue Pearl in Arizona took care of him and then the rest of his recovery took place at the home of one of our WIN foster volunteers. He was later adopted by a wonderful family. Please run a story about reputable rescues, reputable breeders, and puppy mills.
