Again, DO NOT SEND ANY HATE TO ANYONE. Personally, I believe Chepo's bans were arguably not even suppose to be bans, he just got unlucky. It just thought it was an interesting story to tell about a player who did get banned twice from professional play.
I feel like ix gaming being banned was a little unjustified, since looking at the teams and noticing that if they lost games they could eliminate their competitor was really clever. But idk anything about esports so it might be more illegal than i think
I think multiple badminton teams at the Olympics did something like that years ago, by playing badly they got matched with weaker opponents, leading them to easy wins. They all got disqualified ☠️
Actually chepo was actually a great player I remember like in na only tribe and stmn were the best teams and rest were trash I remember the month before they defeated stmn and lost to tribe in finals and that actually meant they were good but the next month they were banned and I didn't know why till now

A standard full-size keyboard typically contains 104 keys, including alphanumeric keys (letters and numbers), function keys (F1-F12), navigation keys (arrow keys, Home, End, etc.), and a number pad. It also includes modifier keys like Shift, Ctrl, and Alt, as well as editing keys such as Backspace, Insert, and Delete. Compact keyboards, such as tenkeyless (87 keys) or smaller layouts like 60% and 65% (usually between 61 to 68 keys), omit the number pad and function row to save space, making them more portable. Laptop keyboards vary depending on the size of the device, with smaller models typically having around 78 to 82 keys, while larger models may include up to 104 keys.
There’s a lot of potential in covering brawl esports, you should keep doing it considering no one else does and brawl history isn’t documented at all, you really just had to live through it to remember. Topics like the 2020 WF shitshow due to covid leading to unplayable online matches (and who really should have been champions, my bet is on Jupiter), or maybe the EU no.1 seed curse, 2021 worlds drama with NAVI playing sitting down, China’s brawl esports history… I’m probably missing a lot of more interesting storylines region specifically but these are just the ones I could just about remember
I think the first one is bullshit. That should be a valid strategy. Or else you can design the fucking championship qualification criteria better. It's a design issue if losing is leading to a better outcome than losing.
i agree, there should never be an incentive to lose a game b/c then its practically impossible to play at your best. but it still was against the rules so
IMO Blood Diamond's Manipulation of servers and their ban as a result was one of the more unfair decisions Supercell Esports has made. Bc Blood Diamond showed so much unsportmanship, I feel like that clouded the community's judgement, because while manupilation of servers is bad, in all fairness, Tribe Gaming could have just easily tricked their servers into giving them zero ping, which is why it just feels so unfair to me.
As an OG, I loved this reminder. I grudgingly respect gaming the system they way those teams did, albeit they were fools to not make that loss less convincing and/or fail to have *anyone* read the ToS for competing.
I hate the "thats not good sportsmanship by ix, so get banned cause throwing is against the rules". Its a format mistake that they get punished for winning to ruin their chances of going to worlds. If you dont want that on broadcast let them forfeit.
I would agree with the format issue but there should be concerns over things like gambling when talking about intention throwing. There’s a reason why match fixing is illegal in basically every sport
you’re one of the most underrated creators ive ever seen, keep up the good work man! (also the clips were so goofy it felt like it was my randoms playing💀)
I remember him, he was among the OG (2019) lineup of tribe. But as you mentioned in the video, he was out by 2020 and the iconic lineup of cori, zoulan and tyrant replaced him, with ezlivi subsequently joining later. Also, I think you may have accidentally rediscovered some 2021 era gameplay from the goat himself, daddy secondbest. (2:25-3:28) I find it funny that two of his teammates at the time were cryingman (now more well known after switching to content creation) and secondbest, who has his own yt channel where he uploads regularly, and is playing in the world finals with the pioneers. Going off of liquipedia, he was still actively competing as of 2024, with West coast no less, but seems to have left back in June, probably realising there was no way they could hope to make to lcq, let alone wf. Tbh, I think if they were better actors in that match against bot crew, and didn't look like they just handed their 9 year old cousins their phones, they could have pulled off that strategy successfully. But that being said, cheaters don't deserve to go to world finals.
this is not even cheating 😭😭😭 and for blood diamond it wasnt even against the rules, its just because they were super toxic so the community got super outraged supercell had to ban them lmfao
I remember Jack Chepo, Cryingman, and Secondbest. At least Secondbest has joined one of the best team in NA, and Cryingman has bulit one of the most popular yt channels for Brawl Stars, but Chepo is gone.
I was going to leave a like until the "it's a 4 button game for kids" comment. That's a low blow to all the 18+ players, lol. Without us, this game would be broke!. There are also more posts promoting skins that are drawn a bit lewd, but I already posted a book and not a comment so yeah😂
i mean imo, despite pandering to some older audiences for the money, i feel like brawl stars is intended and directed as a game for kids. lets just say i'm also a pretty old bs player as well
good video, but what a horrible take to end it with by saying "It's just a game for kids." What you were talking about was the the livelihood of the pros and not just people playing a game for the fun of it.
5:06 this has more to do with supercell prioritizing people with higher ping instead of it being random each match during the championship also it isn't in the rules anywhere so ig it's a fair strategy
I don't think IX gaming is cheating, it's called "strategy". Imagine, your biggest rival is 50 points ahead of you and you have no choice but to eliminate them. I really liked this idea because it shows that they can compete without pinning their hopes on other teams. No Risk no gain, I think the Brawl Stars team is at fault here, how can a person prove that the game is not played at their best? Maybe they weren't in good mood that day or something else happened. It's an abstract thing and you can't prove it
yeah i agree. there shouldnt be any incentive to lose a game in a pro tournament, so its just really bad design by supercell. but its still against the rules at the end of the day
