This brings back so many childhood memories.
I remember watching that at the Church nursery when I was little. (The nursery had a tv with lots of good movies and cartoons for kids)
It is because that the stone has hit our sensitive part. Our sensitive part is the head especially that the stone has hit the head where our brain is. When something hit you very hard on the head, it will really hurt.
Oh snap, I remember watching this a child. These were the days.
Raincrow88, i love you, thank you so much for posting this. i've been looking for a decent online version of this to show my year2 (6 and 7 year olds) RE class next thursday and this is just perfect! thank you so much for posting this!! God bless, Tan.
I remember watching these as a kid, specifically this and Paul Bunyan.
If Heaven is real (which i believe it to be), then having faith will save me when i die. And if i'm wrong, and there's no life after death, then what do i have to lose? I believe in God because He has done so much in my life, He has pulled me from the darkness that once gripped me and He now holds me in His safety and in His Light.
We recieve faith through salvation. We must receive the gift Christ has given us through his work on the cross. We have earned death from our sinful ways. We must repent from them and accept Jesus sacrifice in order to have eternal life. Faith isn't the key in itself, the core of the Gospel is Jesus himself and his will to have a relationship with us. Love you, peace and salvation be with you
I used to watch these ALL the time!
OMG!
I wish I could find "Little Johnny Everything"
do not let the devil enslaves your body, your thought.
God loves everybody and he wants to save your life. Do not be rebellious my friend. Reconsider before it is still too late.
"Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell face down on the ground." 1 Samuel 49 (NIV)
this is my favorite bible story since I was a kid
My favorite would be stuck between this, David in the lions den, and pharoe slaves story
@@beckyann8389 lmbo my bad I have to do this for homework and I'm getting the names mixed up.
Alisha Patterson oh I see, it’s a good thing that you’re talking to the right person
@@beckyann8389 I don't know what you mean by that lol. But okay thx for understanding the silly mistake 😬
0:01 David And Goliath
I liked it!
Great video.
Thats right
1) it was made in the 30s and animation in film had hardly even been born yet.
2) when you're a child watching this, you find it awesome because it's a story.
and 3) the mel-o-tunes company made these short cartoons to tell stories for children to enjoy, so who are you to judge?
god spoke to me in april 2000.
me encantan la musica infantil y trabajar con los niños
I believe Goliath was somewhere between 8 and 10 feet tall. Some theorize he was probably taller than that. One article I read a long time suggested he was 16 feet tall. By the description of his spear length, I believe he was over ten feet, He was a monster.
The original boom headshot.
Killing in the name of God!!!
@dclaver2 First off, David was an expert stone-thrower. Secondly, Goliath may have had a thin skull. Third, he was probably wearing so much iron armor that when he fell down he couldn't get himself back up.
The Mel O Tunes were produced in 1960
The Philistines weren't sending Goliath into battle. They were putting on a display.
Goliath was their "champion", and twice a day, for 40 days, they would have him parade within sight of the Israelites while shouting taunts.
The Philistines were in no hurry to fight. They were so confident, they figured they'd just wait, and put on a show in the meantime.
Psalm 110
Of David. A Psalm.
1 The LORD says to my Lord: (LORD TO MY LORD, JESUS!)
"Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet."
KISS the SON lest HE be angry with you... Psalm 2 by David
GOD'S Son loves you... was CRUSHED for you... who else died for your
sins, tell me? You think you need no atonement; for no greater gift then a MAN who lays down HIS life for HIS friends.
MASS LOVE from up above... just pray to JESUS to tell you the truth admit your confused.
I do think that Goliath had gigantism.
it kind to old school for me but anything about the lord is good
HEADSHOT, CRITICAL HIT! Ded.
do people actually believe this happened? that amazes me
boah! der is so geil! Der geile goliath!!!!
my child hood omg.
I think Nana from "Madagascar", Alex the Lion's arch rival, would definitely say that Goliath is a bad kitty.
our teacher showed us this and asked "are there any things in the real world that could be considered a goliath?" some people said "the high schoolers" i said "social studies"
yes he was
great story
NOTHING BUT SPIRTUAL STRENGTH
Whoa, whoa. I'll leave the theological discussion to you all, but this was made in the 1950s-60s - film animation had been going strong pretty much since film started (see: Winsor McCay), and by the 1930s, popular movie animation was producing the likes of Donald Duck, Porky Pig, and Popeye - not too shabby.
Quality-wise, I'd say this is fair to middling for quickie tv animation of the time. There's better, and there's definitely worse.
Ah, old fashioned cartoons...
He'd probably eat ten of us for Breakfast And think nothing of it
What a funky old cartoon! Funny how everyone is so disproportioned
god is that which stirs dumb flesh to life
Yup who loves godd😅😅👍🏻👍🏻😇😇
@karkkipussi123 That is the power of God.
@teeggarscott amen!!
If the narrator sounds at all familiar, IMDB says that it's Basil Rathbone. I don't know how verifiable that is...
Actually, it’s Claude Rains. According to IMDB ( they need to get their act together) and a bio I have on dear Claude! Basil would have been lovely too.
Those balls on Goliath's helmet are floating
yeayyyyyyyy!!!
true story
have you ever seen a life leave a body? have you seen the lifeless body and wondered... what force moved this flesh to live and breath? its like a car, SOMETHING has to start it...set it in motion...set turning the wheels of life... also we are self aware and concious(?) and have the capacity for empathy with other life... there is a force. u r just distant from it
the HOLY ghost appeared to me last night, (maybe it was the tooth fairy, I'm not sure it was very dark.) anyway he told me in a deep echoing voice to spread the word of Bob. "Bob" I said, he said "yes, spread the word of Bob." so I said, "I'm ready, I'm ready." he said "Perfect, now go." then he dissappeared back into the closet. I'm still not sure what he meant.
oh man, thats one goofy ghost.
peace, lardo.
My friend, you are in a great error and you will need God regardless. God still loves you and want to save your life. You will need him regardless. I will have you in my prayer because you are a blind man althought you have two eyes. Jesus-Christ said all Knees will bow down before him. You will ask God for mercy one day because the loser devil enslave you;
History`s first reported critical hit...
Yes, i honestly do believe it :) It's my religion, but more importantly it's my faith.
Well I'm sorry you think that, but you're totally free to believe that. So You believe what you want and I'll believe what I want.
Goliath looked like he had a sroke when he died lol
I have heard that it was well known that Goliath had 4 brothers and is the reason he took 5 stones.
Well the force of the throw made it penatrate his skin.
This portays God as a blood thirsty being lol. i like it
me david you goliath !
Gotta love how it ends right before he cut off Goliath's head for a trophy.....
Wooooooooo
@Christian Castedan just because u don't believe in it doesn't mean it's not true. It isn't stupid, 1st of all there is a moral to all stories of the Torah; and this stories' moral is to never be afraid because god is with u. 2nd of all, it was a real part of history.
No! It doesn't give us misery. If it gives us misery then all people will be bad. You know why some are bad? Because they don't care about their religion.
why NO closed captioned in here video,,,
put it on closed captioned in here video,,,
thank
Did Goliath differentiate between servant and slave? I must look that up.
1 Samuel 17:9
“If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us.”
www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/1-Samuel-17-9/
They left out the bit where Dave decapitates Goliath
#summer2023
5:21 POW!!!
Im a Jehovah's Wittness, that's how I know all this stuff.
Great! One thing i don't understand though. How come a giant like Goliath, dies by getting hit whit one rock on the face?
@8466672 if i think that gravity is fake, does it make it so. i cant see it so i guess it doesnt exist.
I don't think science is based on faith. Though I do see why you think that; I know that science is the study of how everything works (in a matter of speaking), and the way God made everything. So I think you are right on that condition.
Well, I would suppose that he believed it might take more than one stone to kill Goliath, or that he might miss it the first time. Because I believe you do know that we all make mistakes sometimes. Even the best at something might make a mistake once in a short while.
@2face15 We have a different way of viewing things then, so let's leave it here. I don't think you quite understand the issue the way I do, and vice versa, so I won't argue with you.
@jackal92672 i see where you're coming from, but this is a tiny boy against a 3 metre giant, whereas in troy it was an average size man (whose skills were far greater though) against about 2m man? so yeah.
You are intitled to your opinion without others giving rude comments in return. No one should be treated like that.
Claude Rains.
jajajajaj nice
and the threat of hell isn't?
The Philistines and Israelites occupied defensive positions; the Philistines had their Greek armor, and the Israelites were up in the hills.
Saul's soldiers were scared stiff. The Philistines probably didn't want to bother hiking uphill; they'd rather sit and wait for the Israelites to come down and get slaughtered.
When the Philistines saw David kill and decapitate Goliath, they all ran.
And goliath stood at 10ft tall
ha ha. true true
yea what happen 2 his head???
Because the Israelites were probably not wearing armor and their weapons were limited to arrows (they were armed shepherds, accustomed to mountain warfare).
The Philistines had iron armor and weapons, which the Israelites definitely didn't have. They didn't have iron, and hadn't learned how to forge it.
The Philistines also outnumbered the Israelites. They were a huge, professional army, and not like the Semitic peoples that the Israelites were used to fighting.
Pick up the precious stone / Grail which is the Golden Rule from Matt 7v12: treat others the way you want them to treat you , put it in the sling which is Luke 6v37 Do not condemn that you be not condemned. Then sling it to hit the temple of " God ". Once that giant has fallen use the sword of James 4v17 anyone ( including the gods ) who does not do the good they should , sins.. Then you'll see the " God " was mortal = a false image created by shaman, witch doctors, priests.
The rock had to thread in Goliath´s forehead, not make shit in his face.
Why didnt he sever the head?
reminded me the scene at the beginning of Troy. Brad Pitt an the other guy ... But Troy is much much better ..
Why did Goliath not use his shield bro
Please, enlighten me on how that is.
3:11 look at the face
@Godbtheglory1 it could have been, santa, tooth fairy, holy ghost, all the same thing.
peace, lardo.
@IanEColeman Lol the biggest delusion is people thinking all this life is just a coincidence..
It's simple logic, nothing just happens..
Why did David need 5 stones when it took one to kill him?
@Ninjamanproduction and where is your proof?
I thought these toons were ALL gone Great narration by that classic actor from the Golden Age Of Hollywood: Claude Rains
