I loved Olympia Soiree! It was so different from the other games I've played. I enjoy games with heavy romance and darker themes. It was cool how the MC didn't really get flustered and embarrassed all the time, and actually wanted physical contact with the guys instead of freaking out lol!
It’s one of my favourite switch games! 😍 I agree with you though, so many otome MCs get flustered over the smallest things lol. And the bad endings were all pretty dark compared to a lot of previous titles 😏

Oh my gosh this video is exactly what I needed, thank you! I wanted to start playing console otome games yet but haven't gotten to research much so I didn't know which ones to get. Especially with Black Friday coming up, I was hoping that some otome games would go on sale, so this helps a lot in terms of what to expect from each game 😄 It sounds like Cupid Parasite will be a good break game since most of these otome sound pretty intense haha

There are also some voltage games you can get on switch as well, which is pretty sweet if you want something light!

When you said the last of the depressing games, I thought you were going to talk about Nightshade. I was surprised this game didn't make it in the list because it's highly rated by the community. And yeah, Steam Prison is a mixed bag. I enjoyed it for the most part and the finale ending was so satisfying. The world and the characters are intriguing, but the story writing is a bit of a mess. I ended up playing it all the way through instead of jumping between games because I wanted to know what happens next. I'm currently playing Cupid Parasite and Olympia Soiree. I'm waiting for the patch for Cupid Parasite but it's nice to jump between games that are light and then dark. I had to play PC or mobile games to even find anything that's light. Glad to see more light hearted games coming out!

I am currently working on completing Piofire, and the game is good. I love listening to the voice actor for Nicola Francesca in Piofire. (He is a gamer, and he has a UA-cam Channel.) I was a little frustrated not getting some Japanese games quickly enough since I moved to the United States. I am waiting for Birushana Senki in English Version since it is difficult to get the Japanese Version. You sounded so happy talking about games, which made me smile. It is not as bad as there are some good games translated into English.

And for all the people who want to buy Cupid Parasite: Currently there are many translation errors and design issues (like the text being outside of the textbox). Hopefully this will get fixed. Just keep that in mind, it's overall a good game though!

Man this just makes me want to try them all! Because I really have no clue what type of games I like since I have only played mobile Otome which gets me so far but I don’t think is as deep as the console games. I have been on the fence about Collar x Mallice but I also want to try it because I feel like I’m missing out. Like the only crime based Otome I really know of is London Detective Mysteria but I liked that. My plan is to get the Og games and wait on the fandisks until all the ones are played and then return to the same worlds!
I highly recommend Collar x Malice 😍 Bustafellows also has crime in it, but you’re not on the police side, more the side of the criminals haha. Are there any mobile ones you would recommend? I’m the reverse, I haven’t played many mobile otome games but have been curious for a while!
@@RestingPeachFace I happen to be on the side to like the opposite people and villains better then the heroes in games with sides I feel like they have the best writing and learning why the way they are is interesting to me it’s like that with me and angels it’s kinda boring to me the devils give me ooh they are so cool and I’m drawn to them more. I mean the mobile games requires a lot of patience because a lot of them are in the “free” side which means you hit checkpoints where you either need to raise your charm points to past the checkpoint or you need to shop for a dress item and there’s two options one is with the in game currency and the gems or some currency that you would need to use your real money to buy to get the Cg. I’m fortunate enough that I am very patience it all comes down with being able to play everyday and I found it’s easier to raise your stats anyway even if there’s no checkpoints it saves some of the wait times. But when you have multiple games like I have 15 games to juggle because one library games holds 6 games within itself though at the moment I’ve been too busy to play but I do plan when things calm down and I figure my rhythm again because I have done it before with no issues and I once had 52 games and that’s a lot! Hehe
The only paid games that are straight up by this route is Voltage which I’m sure you know of since they have moved some of their games to switch which I think is the best thing they’ve done because you get five or so characters all in one and they go up to some 3 seasons or so which is a good price. And they seem to be working on a new game that isn’t a port which is exciting. Also this way makes it easier to narrow down who to buy in their library app so you don’t have to repurchase if you’re interested in them.
Also it’s nice to hear about Steam Prison because I found a UA-camr that’ll be playing that soon when she’s done the games she’s on. So you came at a good time to explain a bit of it so thank you!

I’m playing Code Realize and I’m on around chapter 5. It’s my first “real” otome game, and I was honestly surprised by how few times I get to make choices that impact the story. Is that normal for otome games? I’m enjoying it but I was fairly disappointed.
It really depends on the otome game! Code Realize iirc has a really long common route that introduces characters and your choices lead to a particular love interest, after which there may be more choices (it’s been a very long time since I played that one). If you’d like otome with lots of choices I’d recommend Our Life: Beginnings and Always on PC! I think Collar x Malice (Switch) had a lot of choices too 🤔 and Even if Tenpest! (Switch) Sorry for bombarding you with titles, I got carried away 😅

@@nyabaaaa Yeah some of those endings are really tragic 😅 I played that game back when I was scared of bad endings, so I can’t say my opinions (only heard from others), but CxM is definitely a more serious title. Perhaps pick up something cheerful in between each route XD

Ok, so I made this video like a year ago, so some of the “to be released” have already been released XD Lover Pretend is a little similar to Cupid Parasite in that it’s modern, but it isn’t as steamy (think shoujo manga). Collar x Malice is one of my favourites because the plot is amazing. Birushana has low romance, but is great if you’re interested in Japanese history and the MC is extremely strong. Paradigm Paradox is long but each character route is very succinct (there are 8 routes I believe) and the romance is quite low. It’s really hard to say, I’ve made reviews on all the switch games I’ve played so far, those may be of more help!
I’ve never ever played an otome- I want a good beginner one with romance & beautiful illustration… what would you recommend to play as someone’s very FIRST otome??? 💖🙏🏻
I think it depends on what you typically like ofc, but if you're looking for something with a solid plot, I would probably go for Collar x Malice, while if you're looking for something with romance, I would go for Cupid Parasite! As for generally popular ones, there's Code Realize, Piofiore, Bustafellows, Norn9... There are so many

Thank you! I’m happy you like my videos 😍 Also, I tend to do the bad endings immediately after the good endings. Basically I go in with the mentality of “omg this COULD have happened!? Thank god it didn’t!” Lol. It doesn’t feel as bad then. Some people I know do the bad endings first to cheer themselves up with the good endings after. Although there are certain games I felt the bad endings were better than the good endings! (Yang from Piofiore, for example 🙂)
I got some of these games when they first came out on the Vita. Which was so long ago now that I think about it. But I really couldn't help buying them for the switch too 😭 I still need to get Busta fellows though

Ok so otome games are female MC with male LIs, what you’re probably looking for is a bishoujo game or BL games where the MC is male and LIs female (for bishoujo) and male (for BL). If that makes sense? 🙂

I highly recommend Collar x Malice 😍 Bustafellows also has crime in it, but you’re not on the police side, more the side of the criminals haha. Are there any mobile ones you would recommend? I’m the reverse, I haven’t played many mobile otome games but have been curious for a while!
@@RestingPeachFace I happen to be on the side to like the opposite people and villains better then the heroes in games with sides I feel like they have the best writing and learning why the way they are is interesting to me it’s like that with me and angels it’s kinda boring to me the devils give me ooh they are so cool and I’m drawn to them more. I mean the mobile games requires a lot of patience because a lot of them are in the “free” side which means you hit checkpoints where you either need to raise your charm points to past the checkpoint or you need to shop for a dress item and there’s two options one is with the in game currency and the gems or some currency that you would need to use your real money to buy to get the Cg. I’m fortunate enough that I am very patience it all comes down with being able to play everyday and I found it’s easier to raise your stats anyway even if there’s no checkpoints it saves some of the wait times. But when you have multiple games like I have 15 games to juggle because one library games holds 6 games within itself though at the moment I’ve been too busy to play but I do plan when things calm down and I figure my rhythm again because I have done it before with no issues and I once had 52 games and that’s a lot! Hehe
The only paid games that are straight up by this route is Voltage which I’m sure you know of since they have moved some of their games to switch which I think is the best thing they’ve done because you get five or so characters all in one and they go up to some 3 seasons or so which is a good price. And they seem to be working on a new game that isn’t a port which is exciting. Also this way makes it easier to narrow down who to buy in their library app so you don’t have to repurchase if you’re interested in them.
Also it’s nice to hear about Steam Prison because I found a UA-camr that’ll be playing that soon when she’s done the games she’s on. So you came at a good time to explain a bit of it so thank you!

I’m playing Code Realize and I’m on around chapter 5. It’s my first “real” otome game, and I was honestly surprised by how few times I get to make choices that impact the story. Is that normal for otome games? I’m enjoying it but I was fairly disappointed.
It really depends on the otome game! Code Realize iirc has a really long common route that introduces characters and your choices lead to a particular love interest, after which there may be more choices (it’s been a very long time since I played that one). If you’d like otome with lots of choices I’d recommend Our Life: Beginnings and Always on PC! I think Collar x Malice (Switch) had a lot of choices too 🤔 and Even if Tenpest! (Switch) Sorry for bombarding you with titles, I got carried away 😅

He’s a cutie but I got a bit sick of the loveydoveyness near the end of his route 🤣 I’ve got a soft spot for tsuns so Takeru was a nice change of pace right after Mineo 🧚♀️ BUT I JUST FINISHED HIS ROUTE AND I’M SAD so idk if I should keep bingeing CxM or pace myself for the rest of it 😩

I played that game back when I was scared of bad endings, so I can’t say my opinions (only heard from others), but CxM is definitely a more serious title. Perhaps pick up something cheerful in between each route XD
@@RestingPeachFace I started CupiPara in the middle of Okazaki’s route and the romcom vibes are IMMACULATE!! But I really want to savor that one so I’m continuing with CxM first, I thought I wouldn’t be so into Okazaki’s route but I’m liking him much more as it goes on!!

Ohh do you find steam uncomfortable? 😯 They don’t describe or show them going all the way, but they get up to making out (in some routes with lingerie) and then it blacks out.

Ok, so I made this video like a year ago, so some of the “to be released” have already been released XD
Lover Pretend is a little similar to Cupid Parasite in that it’s modern, but it isn’t as steamy (think shoujo manga). Collar x Malice is one of my favourites because the plot is amazing. Birushana has low romance, but is great if you’re interested in Japanese history and the MC is extremely strong. Paradigm Paradox is long but each character route is very succinct (there are 8 routes I believe) and the romance is quite low. It’s really hard to say, I’ve made reviews on all the switch games I’ve played so far, those may be of more help!

I think it depends on what you typically like ofc, but if you're looking for something with a solid plot, I would probably go for Collar x Malice, while if you're looking for something with romance, I would go for Cupid Parasite!

Also, I tend to do the bad endings immediately after the good endings. Basically I go in with the mentality of “omg this COULD have happened!? Thank god it didn’t!” Lol. It doesn’t feel as bad then. Some people I know do the bad endings first to cheer themselves up with the good endings after. Although there are certain games I felt the bad endings were better than the good endings! (Yang from Piofiore, for example 🙂)
I got some of these games when they first came out on the Vita. Which was so long ago now that I think about it. But I really couldn't help buying them for the switch too 😭

Ok so otome games are female MC with male LIs, what you’re probably looking for is a bishoujo game or BL games where the MC is male and LIs female (for bishoujo) and male (for BL). If that makes sense? 🙂
