Movies like this one taught a generation what integrity meant. Taught us a “fair days work for a fair days pay “and “Man is tempered by his set backs , not by his successes “. These 2 sayings I remember from movies in the 1960’s. Now that I’m 70, they got me through life.

Great movie. Glen Ford is one of my all time favorite Western actors. Did any notice that all of the "Brazilian" locals speak Spanish instead of Portuguese. lol ...That's Hollywood for you. Still a great movie.

Cesar Romero was an interesting man. I used to sell him Scout-O -Rama tickets. Like it when he shows up in old westerns. Appropriate he should be El Gato.
21:15 into this movie and off top first mistake was tell manual how much those bulls were worth 🤦🏽♀️ 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ that’s open season for the crooked people! Not really a western as I had thought but I love anything Glenn Ford Stars I’m so it’s a win win! Thank you for the upload!! 👏🏽👏🏽🍿🎥
Always like Glenn Ford. Always seemed to play understated and easy going characters that got tough when a wrong had to be righted. Always like Caesar Romero- usually a happy camper.
Yeah, I always thought Ceasar Romero was cool and Glenn Ford as kinda like a high school gym teacher. I was surprised to see that this was directed by William Castle.
To Jeff Bruce....you must have missed Glenn Ford in "Colorado" with William Holden. In this movie he was a very bad guy. A hanging judge you might say. Power mad and ready to do harm when he felt threatened. It is a very good movie with a different Glenn Ford. Hope you have a chance to see it.
It's a good movie. I love the oldies. Only problem is most of the actors are hispanic and speak spanish, not portuguese. For yes they all say "si" but in portuguese it is "sim". Also, Brazil is a huge country with different terrains not unlike the U.S. I think it's funny that in a span of 50 miles the vegetation and terrain changed so much. lol. Still a good movie though.
Pretty good movie, mainly because of the real mystery regarding who are the nice guys and who is the villain. Ford is thoroughly enjoyable as usual. He almost always plays the guy with a sense of decency and honor, although in real life that was probably far from the truth, given his almost pathological treatment of women as objects meant to have fun with and then tossed away. Cesar Romero did almost as much as Ford to carry the film, with his funny, devilish charm.
@@anz2441 I love him as an actor too. I have seen every film or TV show he ever made that I could lay my hands on. As for his personal life, many actors were womanizers. That is different from treating women as trash, such as, "according to his son Peter Ford, Ford had affairs with 146 actresses, all of which were documented in his personal diaries," or "Ford did not remain on good terms with his ex-wives. He was a notorious womanizer who had affairs with many of his leading ladies," or "Ford also documented his many relationships by taping every phone conversation with all of his celebrity lovers and friends for 40 years," or " Ford installed the recording system to eavesdrop on the conversations of his first wife Eleanor Powell, fearing that she would discover his serial cheating and leave him. She divorced him in 1959 on grounds of adultery and mental cruelty." Luckily, I only discovered this recently, or it really would have bothered me when seeing his films.
What a crappy ending. Sure it's great the bad guys all die, but then he just walks away into the jungle. Does he go back to America? Does he stay with the girl? Or does he take the girl back to America with him? We'll never know...because it's a crappy ending!

He was a very bad guy in "3:10 to Yuma." However, Russell Crowe altered the character a bit in the remake, which was also excellent & worth digging up...

Because people these days are no more interested in cowboy movies. Also such actors are not born anymore. The 50s 60s and 70s was the Golden Era.
@F La Raza its politicized for sure, all leftist and the only racism is against white males these days.
Doubt the people who made this film realized that Brazilian cowboys would be a major force in today's rodeo, especially in bullriding.
