CORRECTION: The battery configuration is a bit different than most earbuds. There is actually no battery in the case! Instead, the only battery here is in the earbuds. This means the earbuds have 18 hrs of battery in them. A mind blowing battery life for a compact pair of earbuds!
That is mind blowing. I don’t think there are earbuds on the market that have anywhere near this level of battery life. Their battery life is longer than the beats flex, which is a neck piece.
So Mike does that mean you would rate them higher knowing that As for me working in landscaping and sometimes not taking a break for long periods its a great benefit
Galaxy Buds+ have finally been dethroned for longest battery life. They could do 13 hours on a single charge AND the case has a battery to charge the Buds+ ONE TIME from 0% to 100%.
I own the AirPods Pro and Galaxy Buds Pro and didn't understand these earbuds till I bought them. They sounds good, they get loud, small case, and they have 2 day battery life at least. These will last a full 8 hour work shift or last on a long day of travel and that's where they shine...you use them with 0 battery anxiety. These are the perfect backup earbuds
I have owned these for a year and a half and although the sound is good but not great, these things have survived the following- going through a washer and dryer - droped and fully eubmerged in water, twice - and dropped and thrown hundreds of time. Amazing earbuds and worth every penny and they still work today.
I like that there is no battery in the case actually. It prevents unnecessary wear on the batteries. You can charge them only when necessary. However for $80, ANC and tranparency mode should have been included.
Something on the Sennheiser sports which are $300 buds...but there is a setting that slows the earbuds charging and only keeps that at 80% which is perfect for workout earbuds
I love these I use these at work and it’s great that they have Spatial Audio and no active noise cancelling. No anc is a plus depending how you use them
All i want is beats fit pro in a charge case equal in size or smaller than the size of the beats studio buds charge case. The wings tips on them are great but the case is unnecessarily large
18-hours rated in the buds themselves is a plus for longevity and no actual deficit in usability. I don’t mind there is no battery in the case. Severely degraded bud’s batteries are what kill wireless earbuds. By having all 18 hours in the buds definitely make them last for years longer. I have (or rather have had) AirPods 2, which has 24 hours rated of battery life, with a 5 and 19 hours split between the buds and case. I don’t use up the battery in the case and some before charging. I essentially get 19 hours, which is pretty much the same as the Beats Solo Buds. However, the AirPods buds has only 5 hour rated battery life to degrade from. I don’t use them all that much but they are already completely unusable within 4 years, partly because I wear them at most 2 hour at a time, and they automatically charge back up to full, which leads to excessive wear. All in all, having 18 hours in the buds has no usability deficit but much better for longevity.
No ANC, no transparency, no battery in the case (UP to 18 hours of playback measured on 50% volume), bad controls. I'd better get Ear (a) or maybe somthing like Jabra Elite 4 for the same price.
I've been using the Beats Fit Pro as well, only earbuds that stay in my ear no matter what. I don't need new buds, and I'm guessing these would fall out, but I'm a big fan of how the case looks. Wireless charging still would've been nice. That's the one issue I have with the Fit Pro.
I don’t mind that there’s no actually battery on the case but both the buttons and auto on/off might be a deal breaker for me. Solid review man thanks so much!!
Just brought them, hope they will work well. As my nothing ear 1 decided to die on me by not able to enter pairing mode. Personally I would say avoid Nothing Ear, I’ve seen alot of forums saying that the buds randomly just unable to pair.
I don’t really care much about ANC and transparency as much as I do for battery longevity. Probably gonna get it. Id rather have my earbuds start to degrade at 18hrs than 5-6hrs.
I have both the studio and this new solo buds..the Solo is minimaly acceptable, although the noise canseling are not as good as the Studio buds and there are no transparency mode on this
This might be just me, but these actually fit better in my ears than the AirPods Pros or even the Studio Buds. I purchased these just to try them, thinking that it’s going to suck and I’d return them right away. However, after putting these on, I was shocked that they actually fit AND passed the eating test (usually other earbuds I’ve tried-including the AirPods Pro-loosen or fall off while I’m eating and watching stuff). I think that might be because the Solo Buds themselves might be slightly bigger than the Studio Buds/Buds+. I can deal with the lack of charging case as long as they fit well.
To be honest, if these didn't have the Beats name on them, they'd be $20 earbuds. -- No ANC -- No transparency mode -- No IP rating -- No *battery in the case* (I mean, really, FFS....) -- Not even a USB cable included in the box In 2024, any other company would be embarrassed to release these for $80, given what you could get from TOZO, EarFun, JBL, etc.

The button controls are terrible and obviously nobody is looking at your case .im undecided on keeping these or not honestly. You cant extend the battery bc they play in the case regardless
Probably gonna be the Samsung. Beats Studio Buds are like twice the price of these and they do NOT sound good. Cutting even more corners is gonna lead to issues. In contrast, Samsung Buds sound excellent. I haven’t tried the FE but I know their standard ones and pros were great. But for iPhone you wanna stick with Apple
I preferred to pay 3 times the price but to get something that is high end, because I don't see myself sitting at home just to use the earbuds. On the streets, and anywhere away from home it is imperative to hear the traffic and everything else while I am on the go, otherwise I understand why there are so many stupid accidents and subsequently deaths. People often do not hear what they should! The traffic is not going to take care of people... They just go... So hearing is life! Be mindful people.
Great watch. These are decent but i think at that price point there's better bang for buck. But i can definitely see these maybe outselling some of their competitors based on the brand alone coz Beats still has the whole popularity angle going for them. So yeah some of the uglier looking brands at the same price point got no chance even if their function outweighs the aesthetic
