  • There have been few times that San Jose has met with a white winter, and 1962 was one of the most memorable. In this film, the Machado family revels in the falling snow and builds snowmen in front of their house on Clifton Avenue in San Jose. Later, near Alum Rock, some of the valley's orchards are seen in a winter scene that would be impossible to see today. David Machado says, "I remember the whole neighborhood was out side that day making snowmen and it stayed pretty much all day the snow." Enjoy!
