The language barrier has made collabs with jp players non existent while the west has a good idea of SEA players and their opinions since they can speak English. If you can act as the middle man for english and JP players i would love that!!

My problem with teach right now is that the game as a whole is too slow for him to really be good yet He reads like a leader that would be amazing in a game where a deck's strategy is to fire off multiple on-plays per turn If they have to pitch a card to use the ability I can drop a big body and its almost like I took their card with mine so it feels worth it anyway

I don't think purple Luffy will necessarily drop. In japan you guys are one set ahead (speaking from a purple perspective mind you) you guys are getting op 10 and starter deck 21 pretty soon. so to say purple Luffy will down grade I am unsure that will happen. Not only that, we are gonna see the rise of a new black format, I call it positive black ( but the community will sort that out) we have seen very little of it in op08 with jack and Kaido outside of japan. This format of black will surely become an insurgence with the rise of black beard and purple/black Luffy if Bandai cares enough for it. I don't think there will be another leader like black beard soon or at all, hard to tell. the only speculation I have for this is to wait until after worlds to see what direction the meta will go in since we are getting op 09 in December and st-21 in January 2025.
I hope RP luffy makes a comeback for when the meta gets solved and comes west, if it does not, i will have pluffy and bp luffy, but RP luffy is my favorite even in op08 when its still bad.
I've played Vegapunk at local tourney(OP09) a bunch recently, winning every Doffy ofc, but I found it hard to fight Bonney bc her late game is so much better than me and Pluffy bc they can push super hard early game. Most match up is a gamble where do I have a removal for there play or not.
in my opinion smoker is so underplayed as a deck, it has a way better doffy matchup than lucci, shanks also cant use lucky roux and imo blackbeard is free if u spam hinas and tashigis to fill the board. Also his BY Luffy Matchup is better then lucci since he has tashigi. Though into lucci he loses pretty hard.
I tried Smoker! And yea it's not bad but I was struggling a lot of Doflamingo. Still planning on recording a proper Smoker video once I get more data on the deck
In my testing he got run over by Doflamingo. Doflamingo just plays a bit too fast for the deck and spreads the board too fast, but obviously I'm not an expert on St Luffy so I might just be playing it wrong
I rambled about this for about 5 minutes but it didn't make the final cut since it dragged on a bit too long. Essentially, my thoughts are that the deck is extremely powerful and consistent, but Bonney is a very bad matchup. As Bonney is really prevelant right now, RP Luffy is hard to win with, but if anthing lowers the playrate of Bonney, RP Luffy will be back.
as someone running a rather low budget id only be able to get one deck, currently favoring pluffy ut id be really sad if it falls out of meta What deck would u recommend getting for 09? (i dont like doffy) Or just wait for 10 and play tier 0 rebecca (coping)
Pluffy is still very good and is top 2. It's just my opinion that it might slow down a bit in this current meta. If the meta moves slightly again he will move up again in my eyes. For now it's too hard to say what deck to play, but Pluffy is a safe and good option
I'm about to do a 2v2s buddy battles event. If you can, I would recommend rosinante built entirely, or almost entirely, for defense and Vegapunk or enel. The event I'm going to banned Rosinante, so that sucks and ruins my sword and shield strat I had with my sister

Teach’s ability is pretty nuts
