  • THERIZINOSAURS were a very particular kind of dinosaurs. A group of Theropod hat evolved to gradually become vegetarian. Their extrange features had paleontologists doubting of their lineage for quite some time. In the very beginning they were thought to be giant turtles and later they were confused for prosauropods like Plateosaurs.

So the video that Members chose is still halfway in the making (is much more extensive than this one) , so in the meantime here is a shorter one. The animated shortfilm ¨Antediluvian¨ is also coming shortly ( September?) Anywhays I hope you enjoy this video, please give it a LIKE and those things as usual. Thank you all!!

Alxasaurus is named after the Alxa Desert of Inner Mongolia, also known as the "Alashan" desert, and the name also includes the Greek word sauros ("lizard"). Alxa (or Alashan) is also the name of the league, or administrative division, of the Inner Mongolia (Nei Mongol Zizhiqu) region of the People's Republic of China.

it doesn't look anything like Alan, though. It has SOME reddish color on the back but that's it. It's more brownish with yellow in color and it's fingers and arms aren't too long either, and no, the claws don't count.

Mario, you just outdid outdoing yourself with your recent drawings. The details, realism and dynamic poses are just impeccable, + their proporions are very much absurd and you captured them well here(Falcarius looks like how a 5 year old would draw a generic dinosaur)Greetings from me and my cousin, both huge fans!
If I had to suggest a future video idea: maybe at the end of 2025/early 2026 it would be nice to see a size comparison of notable prehistoric discoveries made in the first half of the decade?

Therizinosauria is a subdivision of maniraptoran theropods known for possessing traits as long necks, bulky bodies, and long arms with sharp claws. They are known to have a diet of mostly plants, but they can also eat insects, fish, lizards, small mammals, and carrion.

Hey, Mario! Nice one, I always watch your videos, they're really entertaining. I can tell that you put effort in them, so here's my thumbs up. You know, I follow you for many years now and I'm glad you grow up so much since then. We talked about the possibility of you doing a video where you show the relationship (between predator and prey) of ceratopsians and tiranosaurs. What's the idea? It would be great to see both, predator and prey, alongside like when they coexisted. For example, Raptorex and Psittacosaurus, Alectrosaurus and Protoceratops, Suskityrannus and Zuniceratops, Chasmosaurus and Daspletosaurus, Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus, etc. Maybe it could be a hard video to make, but trust me it'll be worth it. If anyone can make it happen, it's you. Keep up the good work, my friend.

I've heard about Beipiaosaurus to be immature individual, with its skeletal traits being not fully developed like they would in fully grown up dino. That's what that study said. Nature's Compendium mentioned so, in its Therizinosaurus video. Can recommend it.
Also, it's worth noting how some birds today may still have their "young" plumage even when their size is on their way to grow into an adult size, like Andean Condor. They grow up large before their plumage will be replaced with smoother adult feathery coverage.

I'm so happy we have a better idea about Therizinosaurids today. When I was young, we had NO IDEA what Therizinosaurus was going to be like; we just had these huge terrifying arm and claw bones! And Segnosaurus had duck-billed platypus levels of weirdness going on, although I think we had some idea that it was probably related to Erlikosaurus. I don't remember any ideas that Beipaiosaurus was linked to this group at all.
