Glad that it was Nepalese people that did it ; they are the best at Everest . True legends that did the impossible and Redbull had nothing to do with it ! ; Congratulations
In 2015, I had the honor of trekking with Lapka Sherpa and team up to base area, Korshan. A three day trek. We were greeted by Babu, basically sprinting up with two paragliders on his back. The best thing, the most spontaneous crazy thing I’ve done and an experience I will never forget was hooking into the harness with Lapka and jumping off. Keeping Babu insight it took 45 minutes to fly down to the flats around Pokhara. That night we all drank an endless supply of Sherpa beer. These guys. God speed.
The smile never goes away not even for a second. That’s the way of living life. How he smile and sang while he was asking for oxygen wow. Sherpa never dies without oxygen. You are right babu. Keep the generations inspiring. Proud to be Nepali. Live long Sherpas.
Met Babu in 2021. Such a brave and down to earth. Thanks for the video
The film always makes me such an incredible vibration! I've had the great honor too meet the pilot in France, in Luchon where the film was projected...a great teaching of life and living it intensively without fear...
thanks for this wonderful sentiment, their joy is indeed infectious.
Best film I've watched on UA-cam
that is a huge compliment considering the millions of movies on youtube! thank you kindly.
@@fauxreelfilms amazing personalities these two guys, very inspiring and hope they keep breaking barriers!
God taking two beautiful souls on an amazing journey and showing his astounding creation!
Amazing feat! Congratulations to Lakpa & Babu & especially to their trainer. Cheers! 👍👍👍🍻
This is so amazing :)))) Surreal! Wonder why we didn't see this earlier , Hats off to both of them
pbararia the film was kept off of UA-cam for a long time while it did the festival circuit. We also sold some dvds to try and recoup the cost of the expedition. Thanks for your interest!
Nobody else could have pulled this off But them 😎💪👍
That launch. After the first step they were committed. It was heroic and foolish at the same time. Into the breach my brother!
met him in France at the 1st showing of this movie, coupe care paragliding festival sept .... amazing achievements!
quand j'ai rencontré ce "petit bonhomme" rempli d'humilité et tout étonné de nous voir si épatés de son vol...whaou! un grand souvenir pour moi!!!
After (or before) watching Hanuman Airline you really have to read the flying off Everest book how tell all this incredible story with plenty of detail.
So blessed to have meet this incredible men and having flying with Babu in there crazy spot
Yes "FLYING OFF EVEREST" is a wonderful telling of this super epic adventure and it includes the kayaking portion of the expedition. we hope to do a full version of the film as well, it has been in development for a few years.
@@fauxreelfilms Yes, please release it...their spirit is contagious💞
Thank you for mentioning this, I’ll definitely be looking to order it!
@@anniefranks6881 perhaps if we can generate an online surge of support to make the full feature film, it may be possible! thanks for your support!
Looking so forward to the entire journey documentary
One of the most amazing documentaries ever.
thank you!!!
Amazing! Super inspired :)
Great music on the video
Love this story 😇❤️
that start was insane !
Impresionante azaña!! yo que vuelo en Parapente se la increíble dificultad para realizar esto, son aquellas cosas que hacen muy grande a la voluntad humana, esto es algo que por muchísimos motivos será único e irrepetible.
I live around the mountains, would love to learn and have a set of paragliding parachutes.
This video clip reminds me again of my desire to help find climbers lost in the mountains.
Until now, it's still a dream for me .... sad ..... too expensive to be able to take paragliding training ... let alone one set of paragliding parachutes ... even though my goal is not for personal gain, but for humanity. I've been a mountain climber since a long time ago ...
i watched it in kimff
Fantastic, why not
Crazy as a Sherpa can be. Great flight.
Great! 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏😇
awesome!
En el límite de su fuerza, casi sin oxígeno, pero él cantaba: Gorkhaly is my name! Lakpa representa la fuerza, y Babu el espíritu. Una unión poderosa y mística. Dios estaba allí.
Wow...😮👍
Congratulations
Respect!!! 🙏
These crazy guys are heroes !
May Lord Hanuman bless my Nepali brothers!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
INSANE.!!!
So cool to see the perspective from the Sherpas point of view. But where are all the other expeditions?
You can by the soundtrack on: lehna.bandcamp.com/album/hanuman-airlines-fly-over-everest
thankyou for sharing, really wonderful track
No one can fly these mountains better than John Silvester. RIP
That's a dick thing to say to a group who just made a first ever an record...just sayin. Rip John silvester
Heroes
Amazing Babu!
They truely have got the balls
They should have this be mandatory if you can't make it down you just paraglide down so that way nobody dies that would be a good alternative imo
yes! we spoke a lot about this. it is much safer, and also, flying up the mountain!
@@fauxreelfilms That would be perfect! Especially with the newer generation paragliders that are perfect for only downhill. They weigh 2-3kg now!
is the musical piece at 17:30 available for purchase...
enjoyed this video very much...
beyond anazing -
thank you
i dont think so but i will check in with the artist and see. thanks !
Kamaitachi... 🧐🧐🧐
Babu & Lapka were sitting around Kathmandu one night enjoying a few mugs of fermented Yak milk when Babu, getting a bit bored with the whole sherpa thing says to Lapka, "Hey, I know! Let's jump off the summit of Mt.Everest in a paraglider then kayak down a treacherous river to the ocean!" Lapka replies,"I can't swim Babu, but I sure can jump. Let's go!"
The only thing I'd like to know is how these manly men could even lift off with the weight of the largest testicles on the planet?
great question, i will be sure to ask them when i see them again.
@@fauxreelfilms: I'm an old geezer who didn't start flying my Power Paraglider Trike until the age of 60. Practically all my friends called me crazy. That was 10 years ago, all those friends are now taking the long dirt nap, and I'm still flying. When you do see Babu & Lapka again, please tell them they have my highest respects. Thank you sir.
@@nerblebun thank you for your kind words and adventurous spirit. may the wind continue to blow in your favor.
that what David Arufat told!!! amazing nepalese!!! no fear...just life!!
Is there any video material of the kayak trip?
There is video fo the kayak trip but i only received a small piece of it, not enough to include it in the film, and there is more footage that got lost or hidden from the expedition team, i set out to make a feature about this amazing adventure. i still hold hope to make that happen, but there are lots of variables out of my control.
@@fauxreelfilms thanks for the reply, i hope you can make it happen. Good luck!
@@EK-em2zv thank so much, its almost a decade trying to make it happen, if i had funding it would be a lot easier! hahaha.
How come no one thought of this years ago. Get down in a half hour
Wtf how 😱
Fucking hell , best doc
thank you! maybe one day i will get to make the whole film that includes their crazy ass kayaking story.
@@fauxreelfilms please do.
im glad it was them and not some rich white people with all the gear . it goes to show what can be done with a bit of ticker and the right attitude , hats off boys , you pulled the pants off the biggest hill on earth , top to bottom . this is the most epic thing ive ever seen . true heart . much respect
indeed, it was a true shoestring budget the whole expedition was fueled by pure grit.
Good on these lads for a successful incredible adventure but you sound so racist with your disgusting comment. Some of those "white people" have already done this feat in the past. Why does the color of the skin matter to you anyway of these amazing humans who dare to accomplish?
And no one filmed the launch from the mountain? Only the selfie stick? Where’s the landing? Come on...
the camera man could not lift the camera at the summit and had to turn around before take off...., did you know that in the "death zone", your body starts to die? and the batteries all died/froze by the time they landed which is why we only have the stills and no video. there is much of the story that we could not add to the film. come on...? what? could you do better with no budget or oxygen?
