Hi Maryann, I am so sorry for the loss of your Son. Nothing anyone can say will take away your pain, I know this because I to lost my Son three years ago on August 30th in a Motorcycle accident…. It has taken me this long to even talk about my Son passing… A parent should never have to bury their child, it’s supposed to be the other way around. I lost my only daughter when she was 10 months in a drowning accident. I can honestly say, you never get over the loss of a child, but time does make it easier to cope with. I want to encourage you when you start to feel the heaviness of your child’s, children’s loss… think about the beautiful memories, the hearty laughter of your Son, the silly things they said or did… I have found this lessons the grief. Don’t isolate yourself, get out and be around family. I resisted this in the first two years but eventually I realized my Son would not want me to close myself off from your husband, family, and friends… let them be there for you. This is an audio based form of entertainment. If/when you listen to an audiobook do you also want to watch the narrator reading it as well? Hell no, it would distract from being immersed in the story. It's the same thing with scary story narrators here on UA-cam. Any video component should be there to help the immersion, not detract from it. Most narrators don't add the face cam nonsense because it only detracts from the content. I know the reasons some narrators use to justify adding the face cam but the fact that the vast majority don't add it proves that it is unnecessary. If certain creators are happy with ruining their content for a portion of their audience then that's their choice.
