Houston was top 5 greatest weekends I’ve ever had the pleasure of being a part of. So happy to watch my team go 6-0 on the weekend, so happy the energy was so electric and that I got to talk with people who were passionate about the game and also flew in from across the country to watch the next gen of NA League talent take flight.
I had a similarly awesome experience at the first EU Masters finals. Esports is electrifying.

watching EG plays just feels like an anime, nobody really knows why it works, but its so fucking fun to watch. And again hats off to doublelift to deliver the amazing costream with passion
it works because the whole region is dogpiss.
Felt terrible as a TL fan yesterday. After this sweep, i guess EG is just on another level ATM. Good for them I guess.

Honestly, the fact that Impact is just always the most solid top laner in LCS history. He's held his own against everyone who's supposed to be a dominate top and always has had a massive presence in team fights. Even when he's stuck on weakside duty. Then you get the rare carry picks where he legit just smurfs on everyone. I don't understand how he's always out shadowed by all these top's where Impact is just usually put on weakside and still comes up with out plays and sometimes wins lane even when he's counter-picked and being dove and ganked all game. He not only has probably the biggest champ pool out of all top's but it's basically impossible to ban out Impact.
Add in Jojo who's a dominate lane player and a mid level team fighter. With a pretty decent champ pool.
Then sprinkle in Danny who's pretty shit in lane for the first 5 levels but a penta machine in team fights. And I'm pretty sure he can basically play any viable adc and get penta's.
Vulcan who's just kinda balls to the wall insane and just dives in some sketchy times. But, he has also very crazy mechanical Gods behind his back that just be like sure let's fucking go. And they tend to out play the chaos started by Vulcan.
Then there is Inspired who's a pretty solid jungler and seems to just communicate very well with the other teammates and seems to have a very similar style and is willing to just feed their penta machine as much gold as possible similar to how RNG fed UZI. And with him limiting his gold income because of that he still puts off insane carry potential.
I think EG is insane and has such a high potential to play at a very high level. If they can clean up the early game for bot. I think they might be unstoppable.
It'll be interesting to see JoJo play against all the other Mid-Laners and see if he can be as aggressive as he is without inting to the Mid-Jungle duo's. Because he tends to do that occasionally. I think it'll be important to clean up and protect his aggressive playstyle.
I didn’t read 80% of your essay, but I agree with you 100% about Impact. He’s cracked and jacked!
@@BareCash Legit he gets snuffed constantly on top ranking. He's by far the best top in NA and always has been. Even when alphari was here impact held his own vs him and always had better team fight presence but usually the rest of the team diff makes it hard to win.

@@brandonwalker5011 I mean we at least got blessed in groups this year. Hopefully we can top 2 a group of 3 teams with OCE in it when we’ve stolen all their players. That will be a good start at least lol.. not holding my breath for anything after that though.
@@brandonwalker5011 Well i mean, when players stop viewing teams as regions, people will quickly realize the only team that is consistent is T1. Even more so the region thing is complete bullwash, only way to tell who's a real world champion is by having a full split (Or a longer worlds) with everyone there. The format is completely flawed and it's proven time and time again.

I really enjoy watching what a 1 game confidence can boost a pro team up there. Lck, lpl, lec and now lcs.
EG went from sinning like hell in draft to actually jsut outdrafting everybody. game 1 they somehow end up with ornn jinx on blue side( which is 100t's fault), but in game 2 they actually picked mordekaiser in a game where morde is actually pretty decent and game 3 they also had a better draft. not only that, but EG also just stopped coin flipping for early heralds and dragons as much as they did and instead they trade them for farm and plates on danny and then they just let the kid carry. that guy is the best teamfighting ADC in the LCS. only issue they have is laning and if they keep laning botlane like they did in this finals they will lose the game in 15 minutes vs guma keria and gala ming
vulcan played really well and no one is talking about it. his turns/engages/peeling were hugeeeeeeeeeee
If I remember correctly, it was him body blocking for Danny that made the pentakill happen on Saturday.

As a long time C9 fan, it felt awful watching my favorite team get absolutely annihilated by EG.
After watching TL and 100T get blasted even harder the next week however makes me feel much better about it. I no longer think C9 imploded, EG just started playing like madlads

People be hating on Doublelift's peaking mic, but I think it makes so much more funnier than if it didn't peak at all
Like honestly, I wanted TL to win, but if any other team was gonna win, I'm glad it's EG. Seeing these new NA players win with veteran talent aroumd them was refreshing. And not to mention, it makes me feel less bad that they 3-0'd TL when they made the fastest finals ever against 100T. xD (second time that happened to 100T feelsbadman)).
To me EG is playing like how C9 felt they were playing last years spring/2 years ago - together. Kinda like Meteos said in this cast if you know you die and your teammates have you, that mentality wins so many games/fights
At 12:16 it wasn't a bad move by EG, it was actually a good read by 100t. if you check the minimap, Abbedagge caught Jojo out and kept him from joining the gank. If Ryze was able to get in, it would have gone totally different

ngl, the whole arena was mostly rooting for EG everytime Danny got a kill especially in that last fight in game 3. It was amazing to say the least and it would seem that the 100T fans were mostly in the chat.

The drafts from EGs opponents felt so troll through out playoffs. It literally felt like abbedagge wasn't a champion game one and two. and then game three it was closers turn to troll the draft.
This playoff run felt like EG just had half decent drafts for playoffs and nobody had any good answers for it.
I know EG still had to have played well to win it all but none of those games felt clean. I don't know, It all just feels so weird man.

@@charlesgoode6058 This pentakill reminds me one of WildTurtle's first games in the LCS when he replaced Chaox. He got a pentakill on Caitlyn and the excitement was through the roof. The hype was all about WildTurtle because he also stole baron across the map with jinx ult haha

I watched live so it didn't matter, but this title is a spoiler. As soon as you know who wins the first game you know who wins the next two because the fastest series of all time is obviously a 3-0.
NA i so dead for international games if this is what there doing at home. Number 1 and 2 teams from spit get smacked hard out of even getting finals then its a straight up 3-0 this doesn't look good for a region. But I guess congrats for EG.
Its the opposite. It means a team improved and became even better than the top 3 were in regular season. It shows adaptation and mental fortitude, really good traits in teams. Also EG is cracked mechanically, yet another positive

I just wanna agree with what has been said by all 3 of y’all on EG.
They really are just playing with 0 fear and it shows.
They have so much confidence in each other and themselves and it shows.
I feel like EG could show up heavily at MSI. Obviously they have a LOT to work on, but im gonna be real. This play style is what NA needed to perform internationally.

That’s why C9 was able to play well at worlds, they stopped playing for scale and they went for aggression.
Don't want to take anything away from EG, they played really well mechanically all series long, and deserved the win, also Impact smurfed on all the LCS top laners this playoffs. But both 100T, and TL played really bad. So it makes it hard to know if EG made them look like trash, or if they completely collapsed

This is the best thing to happen to NA since like the TSM days. They've just won a split with 2 home grown NA rookies, this legit gives hope to the entire region
I mean it can’t really get much worse for NA lmao, a team that can shake up our meta is prob exactly what we need as opposed to insanely expensive rosters that get by on talent but never come together when it actually matters.

The tf hatred is kind of corny. Yes I dislike the pick aswell but his dmg has never been his core especially if u build double defensive rapid, everfrost. The champ is not supposed to burst
I think its cuz tf is trynna enable a carry but since it doesnt work 99% of the time why not just use a regular mage who can deal a ton of damage
TF is supposed to enable a burst follow up to the stun. Still gets denied by TK, and you're spending a pick to enable the synergy when you could have picked a champion with damage to pressure the TK swallow instead.
The thing is that better teams just don't care. Tf getting the picks never amounts to much because he's not a carry, the best you can hope for is if tf can give the kill to the laner. You're swapping out a carry mid for a support mid which is not useful in these metas, esp when tank Champs like orn can just walk over tf and take no dmg
He's also ass for objectives and team fight

@@defrte To further this, TF telegraphs his intent very clearly between cycling cards and his ult, which makes TK's job that much easier timing the swallow. His ult's effectiveness is diminished playing into a team that very much wants to ball up around Jinx.
Because they can just itemize armor entirely because TF isn't a magic threat; TF is going to play around an Aphelios who is severely outranged and an Aatrox that can't punish Ornn at all while facing TK that invalidates TF's pick potential
