- This video showcases @DylanQuilatan and I fishing the 15th annual Major League Fishing High School National Championship as well as World Finals on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC! This tournament was during June 2024 when hundreds of teams from all over assemble to compete for the win. Both of us love fishing on Hartwell, so stay tuned to see how we fared on days 1 and 2!

Hey Tom. Been missing the vids from you and Dillon.
Looking forward to your senior year and some future championships.
Thanks for watching, Steve! There should continue to be some great content coming!
This video was awesome! Keep on fishing!
Thanks! Will do!
Awesome video brotha! Great job!
Thanks Hunter!
That is awesome these kids need to be taught to fish the right way thanks sir
These young men catch fish in any scenario you put them in. Hammers!
Man I need to know those livescope settings! I have the l34 on a echomap ultra 2 and it’s not nearly THAT clear
Yeah we like to tinker around with the settings depending on what lake we go to but what really helped was the super clear water on Hartwell.
8:20 what spinning rod are you using ?
Dylan is using a custom rod he built for himself at that time. Particularly a phoenix feather blank, and I’m pretty sure it’s a 7’1-2” medium.
Tom if you’re reading this, what is “cull”?
Culling is when you catch a bigger fish and upgrade by switching it out with your smallest fish.
What was the key bait???
A zoom fluke is what we caught almost all of our fish on.
I wish they would not teach these kids to cheat and fish without forward facing sonar
Thanks for watching! The sport is definitely divided on this but you’d be happy to hear that MLF has banned FFS and 360 for future high school tournaments. If you would like to watch a video where we didn’t utilize FFS, check out my videos on the Mississippi River from last year.
Bryan I don’t know if sonar is cheating if everyone is using one
