- Luckily we found some chrome trim tabs so i could fit the chrome tops to the door cards. Unfortunately i have to order the door clips to attach the card to the door frame. Hopefully i can have all the paperwork completed and on the road by March 2025 as a 70th birthday present to myself.
Really looking the muts! Congratulations Dave. You should be rightfully delighted!
Alan, It‘s getting there. I am happy but I guess there is always that bit that you think you could have done better. Cheers Dave
Dave, it's going to be better than when it left factory!!! What an attention to details you have...and it's paying a divident at the end. Keep up a good spirit. You are on the last mile now 😊
Jukka, I say the devil is in the detail but it‘s in my detail it‘s not concours shows or being judged it‘s what I think looks right. I don‘t mean that in a flippant way
but you know when it‘s right and even though it‘s not factory who cares apart from the owner and more importantly the driver. Cheers Dave
Your attention to detail is inspirational
Brendan, Thanks very much it‘s good of you to say. But that's what friends are for 😉🤣😂Cheers Dave
the chrome trim just looks amazing, Dave!
LH, Thanks very much almost there and yet so far away 🤔🤣😂 Cheers Dave
As yio say Dave , it's all in the detail , and how ! My you tube's been down for nearly a week so l'm miles behind .....again ! Cheers !
John, I‘m at the point now where we are in to new territory so a lot of the interior fitting is a bit of trial and error but we‘ll get there. Cheers Dave
Looks great Dave the devil is in the detail if you want it to look nice
Carl. Thanks. The last 10% is 90 % of the finished restoration if that makes sense. Cheers Dave
Do you keep the cars or sell them
Donald, I normally only restore and build them for myself but I have restored other cars for people. The E Type will be sold when the XK is finished and
on the road but the market is not good and it maybe a few years before it comes back. Normally its about a 7 year cycle from up to down. Cheers Dave
