Thank you for this intriguing review. I'm flying to NYC next Spring, and I would expect a lounge experience as part of the journey. I'm paying 2.1k return in Virgin UC so I see little incentive to try this lounge free experience
Really informative and balanced review as usual, looks a good product, is it easy to book the front suites and do they charge for seat selection? Thanks
Thank you 😎 The front seat (the Mint Studios) costs an extra $299. The prices I quoted in the review include that extra fee. I don't believe there was an extra fee to select the stands Mint Suites. To book the Studio you basically book a Mint fare, and then at seat selection pay the extra $299.
It always amuses me to that people are so sceptical about narrow-body long haul as it was all we had in the fifties to early seventies, and the flights were comfortable with economy far superior to nowadays.
Looked ok but $1700 not sure I would be willing to pay that, only a breakfast and a light snack ! a better quality main meal should have been offered after 4 hours in the air.
Looks pretty decent for business class and good food / seats. Thanks for the review!
Thank you 🙏

Used MInt from London to Boston. Very comfortable.

Onboard it was very good, but you can’t beat the Virgin Clubhouse at Heathrow before a flight! Enjoy 😎
@DoorsToAuto tried it when I had a toddler to entertain. This time we will be child free..

i think it is pretty good value for money. my son flew JB early this year in economy and said it was great compared to BA economy.
👏👏👏👏👏
A good review, though a club house, champagne, a 3 course meal and breakfast would probably keep me loyal to Virgin Atlantic/BA

The whole Boaty McBoatface parallel on a flight to London, reported by a Brit, can’t make this stuff up.
I mean, that is a pretty fantastic name for an aircraft, you have to admit. Love the humor/humour!
@@RoadCone411 Agreed.

The non-studio Mint seats would be less
@@RoadCone411 appreciate that cost would be less in economy, but as a business class type product the food offering was pretty poor.
@@r12004rewy The evening flight has great food - I’ve done it myself. Haven’t flown the daytime flight to London though.
That’s correct. The $1700 included $299 to reserve the Studios, so it would have been $1400 for the standard Mint Suite.
No lounge? Come on! This is a joke. As an American with a grandfather who fought in the British Army I would like to apologize for this disgrace!😡
A lounge is coming to JFK soon, stop being a lounge snob. Hehe!
