Now, this is a little bit outside my wheelhouse, but you know what? It's PRIDE MONTH, baby! And that means I gotta talk about this at least a little bit! (Don't forget to check out the sermon I gave on all this, too.)
But to answer this question quickly: NO, it is not a sin, and we talk all about why.

just wanted to say im atheist and lgbtq and when oyur video did pop up on my home screen i was a little hesitant. But I aperciate your authenticity and very mature aproach founded in research. Wow kinda really confirms what I was shown when reading certain things in the Bible like surprise, surprise Sodom and gomehah were actually judged and destroyed because of lack of consent and boundary violation and things that most people could agree were wrong and not because of there preferences on things or the reason alot of people were thinking or probably thinking it actually meant. I read it for myself and noticed that and yeah it also shows us in the parts in the Bible about how Johnathan and David had this special connection which is also even more interesting since people even outside the church and/or Christianity act or alot of times act like true divine connections just have to follow this idea almost similar to this idea of oh it can only look this way or that way when it's like usually just outside this box or in it's own separate kinda box if that makes since hopefully it kinda does lol
Gave me a lot of food for thought Sarah. ❤ Although I don't have the same sex attraction I do understand that these scriptures could be taken out of context. It would benefit us to study the scriptures along with historical context. This would prevent us from judging so we don't get judged in the same measure as we judge other people.☺️
The best purchase I have made in the last 3 months was the Jewish study bible. Thanks for putting this video together. Context is such an unappreciated area of study, in fact your mainstream bible bashers don't study the bible at all, they just get given the same list of bible references to blindly throw at people. I should know I used to go to such a gospel church. I never was one to go around spreading the word, but the church I was with were so bad for it. That was a long time ago, and I didn't stay long,I saw the ugliness and walked away.
I have a question! What kind of Catholic Church do you go to? I have heard you mention really good insight which you have learned from different priests, I've never been to a Catholic Church but it has been on my mind to go for quite some time. I didn't know how affirming they were? I too am in the LGBTQ community
