Since other Korean channels also cite American channels as their sources, I guess they are probably creating derivative works.
However, Korean channels do disclose their sources and do so conscientiously. They are more conscientious than Vietnamese or American channels.
Anyway, we all bring in Chinese stuff and use it as our basic source.
For my own channel, I comply with UA-cam's policies and follow them accordingly.
We only use the pictures and create a completely new script, story, and editing that is different from the original script.
And we also include live-action footage or actual construction footage to make it as different as possible.
We tried to remove as much of the existing Chinese color as possible and create a video with clean subtitles.
It is made by paying expensive program fees.
Of all the channels, the only one I've seen that's as clean as this one is from Vietnam.
Honestly, I think that with this level of effort, secondary creation is acknowledged.
But sometimes, I don't even read the description of the 4th creation because it's nonsense.

The very act of comparing is annoying.
The insults like "Are you copying Chinese stuff?" are correct, so I just delete them, saying "You're right."
