@@bodybuilding_legends1 I don't agree. Just look who won in '81, it would have been obvious. But he could have went to the NABBA, or made a new Federation. Many people were upset about the '80, and even boycotted the '81. I think Mike could have gotten a few others interested in a new Federation, but that didn't happen.
@@ASTRUM502 The thing is he wanted to go big, and whenever you think big in bodybuilding you think about the IFBB Mr. Olympia. Definitely would’ve been interesting if he made his own federation in bodybuilding though.
@@bodybuilding_legends1 Of course we'll never know, but I believe he would have won the Mr. Olympia had he not quit. He already was the '79 Heavyweight Class Mr. Olympia. And why did Ray quit too? Why didn't Mike train/coach Ray to be Mr. Olympia? Mike is both my favorite and my most disappointing, and it's sad how he let himself go, so bad, and Ray too.
@@ASTRUM502 He didn’t train Ray for the Mr olympia because Ray already knew everything that Mike knew. Plus Ray was 260, 6% body fat in 1989 and was going for the Mr Olympia but had to stop because of his Bergers disease. As I stated earlier, if Mike kept going for the Olympia he would’ve been robbed over and over again.
Amazing stuff
Mike should not have quit and let his fans down.
If he kept competing he would’ve just kept being robbed, so it’s understandable why he quit.
