HARUN FAROCKI - Serious Games - àngels barcelona 2011

For his second solo exhibition at angels barcelona and in Spain, Harun Farocki presents his work Serious Games composed by 4 video-installations: Immersion (2009), Watson is Down, Three Dead and A Sun with no Shadow (2010), in which he explores the connection between virtual reality and the military one. Also, how the fictional scenarios of computer games are used both in the training of US troops prior to their deployment in combat zones, and in psychological care for soldiers suffering battlefield trauma upon their return.
