My parents were inmigrants and started working the day they came over , we never begged for food even though, we were poor, we bought dented cans, old bread, recently expired meat. Lived in a tiny apartment. They worked during the week and on weekends my dad worked as a busboy in a hotel, my mom worked as a maid, every day, Took them just 3 years to move to a house, and buy their first small restaurant, and live their dream.
My mom also paid her college tuition on 75 dollars…. What year are we talking about? You know what I’m saying… it’s impossible to save enough to buy a house in a few years now days
This issue is national. We started a food bank in front of the church with repurposed newspaper boxes. It’s a battle to keep it filled, but the surrounding community neighbors comes by and helps us refill it. Most people drop by and usually just take what they need for the day.. We now have a battle with unscrupulous people coming by, cleaning it out completely, to resell it all at the flea market.
easily solved by only giving to those registered. Ask them exactly what they need to make dinner that night. If they are willing to show up every day, they likely really need the food. Giving only what they need ensures plenty of food for others. In NJ, pantry, programs and churches give out already prepared boxes of food and lots of it, every month.I find out the date food was given out. You would be shocked what I find on the curb on trash day, usually in the same boxes they got it in, of things they don't like, and apparently did not need. The places keep giving Muslims boxes that contain pork products. Not long ago, I found 2 unopened cases of Vienna sausage cans in front of one house. I filled a shopping cart with all the items these "poor, needy" people threw out and used it to cook meals for 2 homeless men I feed and the rest goes to 3 seniors I help whose social security isn't enough for them to buy food after paying bills. I won't get into the corruption going on in all these non profits.
What I would do (& you guys may want to do it as well) is make a rule that state identification is mandatory for food & also individuals who can show proof that they've been in the United States for atleast 5 years plus gets food first & foremost then Id deal with everyone else! If I ran a food pantry that's how I'd do it that way it would ensure foundational Americans eat first!
I live in deep red state of Alabama, we have 10-15 food bank charities in my city alone. And the couple of big ones they do, cars are lined up around the block for hours.
I enjoy seeing the lefties of NYC get exactly what the right told them they would get. I am so happy for them that they are a sanctuary city and are reaping the benefits of it. hahahaha
Everybody busy working or tired from working plus meetings that lead to change conflicts with everybody's schedule. That's why everybody is always angry here 🤣 But I guess we won't learn because it doesn't affect us a lot.
If the council and the leaders of NYC insist on keeping the sanctuary city status, then they should be mandated to give up half of their salaries to help the mess they allow to continue.
We took away their roads. What is it, $22 toll now? We are gonna starve them out. Truckers won't pay that on top of regular fees, and the poor won't be able to pay the taxes.
Maybe NYC could get a bigger piece of the wealth pie to subsidise the poor, homeless and immigrants. Maybe.. they could be converting disused office stock for apartments to house all these people..
@@lamoinette23 I like the idea of taking from the wealthy to solve this issue. Taxes on the lower 50% of income earners accounts for only 3% of the United States' tax revenue and yet the lower 50% are burdened more by those taxes, tax the rich, stop stealing from the poor.
why is it shameful? When population grows by 5% exclusively of people who have no income or eligibility to earn income, services that serve the poor would be overtaxed. that seems obvious.
Can't take care of your citizens when the priority is going towards the migrants. I want to help everyone too but at some point the NYC politicians have to choose who they represent, the tax paying citizens or the "asylum" seeking people that unfortunately have been given the wrong idea of what the city will do for them. I've been keeping an eye on this whole asylum thing since it started and one thing that I've noticed is that a lot of these people that are coming across the border aren't being forced to go to Chicago and New York and Boston in La they want to go there because of the generous social welfare programs in those cities. If you talk to the mayor Adams or Mayor Johnson though they'll say that it's a horrible right-wing conspiracy to overthrow these cities when in reality they are the ones to blame they are the ones that said they are sanctuary cities. These kind of catchphrases have consequences . You guys are now living through those. I hope the situation will get better in NYC cuz at this point you have insane rent and everyday prices coupled with high crime and social unrest and I can't see a reason to visit let alone live in NYC and that sucks. I wish you and yours good luck and I pray things get better for everyone.
Very well set. Sadly people are more concerned about cutting their nose off to spite their faces. I work around such people and their thinking is very one sided. Like a religion. So it's a waste of time. They choose to "not be THAT person" who is against A,B,C and D. Even at their own sacrifice. To allowing crime, to crying about crime to crying about the other guy but never accepting their "guy" being responsible for the mess. My mother wanted to buy a house and move away. But she is so indecisive she doesn't know. She doesn't want to leave her house, knowing that the rent and living in NYC will eat away at your SS, pension and retirement. She's still working at 70. All the while raising a YA who can't afford to leave home and is still in college. And while I'm in NJ, I question what choices do I have. I still have to work in NYC, keep tabs on people and wonder if keeping the apt we have is something to do.
The solution to the asylees needs to come from the federal government by way of a more efficient processing regime. I found out the other day that there are fewer than 100 immigration judges in the ENTIRE COUNTRY. That's why it takes years for people's claims to be processed. I can't understand why congressional republicans want more money for the border patrol when that's not where the bottleneck is at all. When someone is arrested by border patrol agents, all they have to do is claim asylum and they'll be released into the general population while their claim is processed, which takes years.
Didn't read all, so you're "us against them" tribal. I mean, there's nothing to stop immigration to usa but you, right :) And all immigration is bad ofc. Gotcha. l8r
The main problem with community fridges is the people who take the food. They generally hoard a lot of it for themselves and don’t always share. They make the experience worse.
Sometimes I get food from the pantries that I can’t use, so I prefer to pass it on. I’m not worried about hoarders, that’s their business. You can’t judge a person’s need, mental health, or family size.
Food shortages is a lie. Farmers throw away so much food cause they cant even give it away. This is what they tell city folks to control them. Thats why they have lawns and not gardens
this is not just happening in NYC it's nationwide. In my state, food pantries have had to stop giving out food multiple times a week to once a week. You see people driving Mercedes Benz waiting to get food. People are literally "working poor"
Someone finally said it , I hate my mom for this my mom has a car and and yet she gets food from the food pantry yet she takes advantage and throws the food away that she doesn’t like it’s sickening
My brother who just moved from Brooklyn told me he knows of small business owners who pose as poor to get free food. Then they sell that food in their stores. Shameful.
I think there is a lot of that going on. I have a friend who works at food bank in NJ. He is frustrated by people coming to food bank in BMWs…. Shameful
Where is the dignity in not being able to obtain your own food? The vast majority are able bodied and able to work. People that open that fridge should have a spotlight on them so they are shamed into doing better.
@@tek87 When I volunteered to help a soup kitchen in college, the head leader told us that many innocent ppl end up homeless. House fires were big reasons. We're in a social collapse. What we're seeing is the beginning of the recovery. It won't be pretty, but it is the natural remedy that we're getting, whether we want it or not.
The title is clickbaitable most of the time, which is why you read it and then watch the video and make your own distinction. I said what do you mean there’s a food shortage? Then you watch the video to quickly find it has nothing to do with food in the stores but food at local shelters for the low income population and now the illegal aliens that our awesome government welcome in with open arms.
The fridge thing is probably the most silly idea ever. I get people will donate their food but there are greedy people that will empty out the entire fridge of donations.

New York is great if you have the income to live here (this is true of many major cities), but many people don't have the means to improve their situations or to move somewhere else. The problems his videos show have been here for decades.
I agree. I think it would be horrible to live in an apartment with all those people around. Watching Cash is sort of like seeing a car wreck. My feelings of 'there but for the grace of God go I' really come out when I see NYC.
This is happening across the country. There are less donations to food pantry’s etc and the need is spiking. Housing and food costs are still too high so people have less money to give to charity. Because yes the majority of charitable donations come from the middle and working class.
Check out what happened recently in Sri Lanka. Western liberals forced green policies on Sri Lanka, it lead to starvation and unrest. Its bad enough our leaders opened the border but they also implemented green policy that is reducing food production. Its the motherload of bad ideas.
This is happening everywhere even here in Utah. My daughter’s work has moved them to 4 days a week because they can’t get supplies. It is going to get worse.

Happened here in Nwk, NJ recently where some older residents (who were born & raised in the U.S) was getting ready to fight with some illegals from south America who attempted to cut the food pantry line & one guy actually had a f*cking smirk on his face as he tried to cut in front of the locals waiting for food, the entire thing almost made my blood boil its so bad that low income residents facing food insecurity who were born & raised in my city literally be *PRAYING* that the illegals don't find their favorite pantrie locations cause they'll show up en masse, about 2 or 3 f*cking hours too early & completely overwhelm the food pantry line & dont let them have a bunch of kids with em it be more Illegals in the food pantry lines then foundational Americans!! I live in NYC and had one relative living in NYCHA housing. I also knew 3 other people who lived in NYCHA housing. I have seen with my own eyes that this housing is so much better than the regular maket rental units in the community they are located in. I also know that since the apartment rent is based on income you can get a three room apartment with all utilities included for $200. to $500. a month. I wish I could get NYCHA housing but I make too much money. The sad thing is that if you subtract my rent and utilities from my net income I'm making around the same amount as the people in NYCHA housing. I also know the fact that almost (at least 90%) all of the takers from food pantries are (I don't know if they are illegal or not) are immigrants.

Yeah, this is only an issue for the poorest of New Yorkers, but NYC is not facing a food shortage, what they're facing is an overload of need on the support systems in place. But that's not as catchy, while the issue does suck for the children lost in this mix, the adults can always figure out a way to feed themselves regardless, there's always a way to get food, but the kids are who I worry about here.
thats how supply and demand works for anything, if you have more money chasing the same number of goods, or less goods to buy with that money the price will go up, when there are shortages of things it usually means the price of it will go up, (the rich are always the last to run out of stuff)
This started with rent hikes, and people pretending supply side economics isn't. Developers started jacking rent because office buildings emptied out. They also triple dipped, they got paid by the govt and still collected rent, then doubled the rent. When rent is your whole paycheck how are you going to eat?
I really like your reporting on current events in NYC. I really believe that the city needs to take care of US citizens first. The migrants decided to come to this country but they are taking from citizens at a time when inflation is at an all time high. NYC got what it asked for becoming a sanctuary city. Why anyone would still stay in NYC is beyond me. There are so many other cities in the country that are more affordable. Why are illegal immigrants getting special treatment like culturally appropriate meals but not caring about citizens? Hotels are for paying travelers not illegal asylum seekers. They should just be happy to be in the country and not being sent back.
New York is probably the only place in this country where you can go and feel as though you can achieve anything regardless of your race sex or income level I was born in Chicago Illinois but grew up in Omaha Nebraska and as a black man in the Midwest I would trade places with a black man who's growing up in Jamaican Queen's projects New Yorkers just don't know how blessed they are despite all the problems they have

The Bowery is the historic model of charity in America, churches and communities. When the government attempted to take on the role, they created dependent people. People fleeing poverty in their home countries are certainly sympathetic, but not manifesting a legal asylum claim.
Yeah before the gov took on that role, America had a far higher poverty rate. Charities and community keep some of the poor from starving but they don’t have anywhere near the resources the gov does. The issue is the gov has done a shit job of it for a lot of complex reasons
Wow I’m shocked. Letting random people, un-vetted and who’s skills are not needed into a country, un-checked (who are also cutting in line and breaking the law while doing so) was a bad idea? Who could have saw this coming? If only this had been talked about during, oh idk, the last presidency?

but...if everyone is loosing money and jobs, who is going to buy the food for the poor? Yesterday me and my sister went to a supermarket and the FoodBank was already there. We agree to receive one of their bags and went searching for food to help people. It was dificult to find a product that wasn't expensive. This happened in Portugal (Europe). This is a scary reality all over the world.
Exactly true, it's all over the world at this time. 30 wars, but especially the Ukraine/Russia war, have impacted food supply. Climate change impacts food supply as growers struggle with unusual temperatures and flooding or drought. This causes mass migrations of survivors, this creates unease in the countries receiving more people than they can easily absorb, not to mention culture clashes. This leads to the rise of far right authoritarian governments. Which leads to repression of the whole population, which leads to civil war, in all countries. The future is looking very dystopian.
Its actually NOT new.....its just worse. Even before covid, it was hard to get into a food pantry. They were all targeted to certain groups - a neighborhood, an ethnicity, veterans, children, seniors. If you were just a random poor, hungry person it was very hard to get any food assistance. If you were a random poor, hungry, WORKING person - it was even harder. Why? Many food pantries were open for only a couple hours a week - so they chose to be open during normal working hours. Why? Because it lessened how many people whoed up at their doors. Anyone hoping to get food would have to be available during normal working hours AND be able to wait on line for hours before the place opened. Most working people can't do that.
idk why they dont just drive 7 hours in any direction. much more affordable living is a half days travel away but they just cant do it. I guess being basically homeless in new york is better than living a normal life in a town???

What resources do these undocumented immigrants qualify for if theyre not citizens? Be more afraid that they are trying to work and contribute to the economy (spooky) unlike most legal citizens that are on welfare and have been milking the system for decades.
The people who implemented this plan must have known that this was inevitable, so what exactly is the endgame for this. They have money to do research on the impact that this would have had and they did nothing. Now we’re hearing that Israel 🇮🇱 knew far in advance about the impending attack on them but allowed it to happen… same was said of 911 , are these opportunities for them to implement their new policies, create problems and the people will relinquish their rights for calm or some semblance of peace?
Im curious as to why people who cant afford NYC even consider staying there. What is the reason for intentionally staying in a city you are guaranteed to struggle financially in when you can move to a cheaper city (not talking about the people who have literally nothing, but the ones who can still manage to make rent, get food etc.) Anyone know?
More Jobs and more resources for handouts. People get welfares and get paid in cash without paying any taxes. People get affordable housing and sublease it for profit. Lots shenanigans
Many people have family/connections nearby. Same story in San Francisco. If you’re already poor it can be challenging to leave a support network for a town where you don’t know anyone.
it takes money to move and if you don't have a car then what are you going to do when you get there? you have to have deposit, first month rent and gas money and a job waiting for you. that's alot to set up when you can't even afford toilet paper...
Same reason the 19 year old with 4 kids is sucking off the tax payer. Same reason the able bodied man is standing on the street corner begging for money. Same reason the liberals think that "feelings" will solve all of the problems.
for votes most likely. because think of it if NYC was a savior city we would be prepared for it not looking dumbfounded and catering to illegal people who wouldn’t even consider becoming a legal citizen first.
Kinda what your country is based on, "huddled masses" and all that. But in fairness, I think the idea was that they'd spread out all over the country, not congregate in one city.
Man, those community fridges sound like a disaster waiting to happen. I would think unless those things are policed somehow, best case, you're going to have people who will come along and just empty it out rather than leaving anything for anybody else. And worst case, if people are allowed to put food in them, I would think it's only a matter of time before some nutcase puts some poisoned food in there. As resources become more and more scarce, it's going to be a fight for survival.

No poisoned food yet although people have donated expired food but we as volunteers try to throw as much away as possible.. @@nataliealex597 Just to be clear, I don't think giving people food who need it is a bad idea. My concern was the point at 6:35 where Cash says, "If you want to donate, just walk up and put something in." That's why I said if something like this is not policed (i.e. not monitored by someone responsible for what's put into it), then there's a potential danger of someone tampering with food they put in. I'm not saying something like that couldn't happen at a food pantry where food is donated, but at least you have people checking the food they accept for others. Now if Cash was wrong and all food donated to the fridge has to be checked first, then that's obviously a better scenario. Based on Cash's tour of fridges in the area, it sounds like a losing battle, but if even one child is helped as a result, then your efforts as a volunteer are worth it.
this is a deeply cynical and illogically bad take. why do you assume the worst in people? And why would you not help a majority of people who desperately need it because of one rare fringe case? even if 1 person got sick, you think that's a reason to not feed 1000?

We're not thrilled. Its extremely hard to find jobs and housing here even in normal times. (the worker shortage is a lie) A huge percent of our population is made up of immigrants - legal and not - even in normal times. To have tens of thousands of migrants shipped here is ridiculous. And since we don't make immigration laws, and since NYC is forced by NYS to house people, its a disaster. Thats right - NYC did not choose to offer housing to all. Its citizens did not vote. Its an obligation that was forced on the city by the state literally decades ago.

On a human level I feel bad for them, but I can't help but think this is by design. Prior to this we heard about how there was a worker shortage and people leaving NY. Now we have tens of thousands of people who are desperate and hungry and willing to work for peanuts and probably live in cramped quarters just to have a chance to make it. School enrollment was declining, but now classrooms are filling up so that the City can seek money for education...while the quality of the education is going down. NYC was on a downward trajectory before they showed up, but the outsized spending with a declining tax base just ensures that things will get worse before they get better...and that's without factoring the economic impact of a major hurricane in the next few years.
Seriously, it’s nothing to get upset about. The shelters like to offer a variety of meals but it’s all garbage. There’s a lot of food waste in the shelters bc the food is not edible. For Hispanic food, think Taco Bell but worse. It might taste okay, but it doesn’t digest and it falls out of your butt hole like mud.
If you live in the freakin' USA, it shouldn't. The country is absolutely filthy rich compared to everywhere else, with some of the best arable land in the world. When you're that well-off as a society, what you said is just a self-soothing/self-serving excuse to not give a shit about your fellow citizens' well-being. But sure, tell a Jew or Muslim to eat pork, or a Hindu to eat beef; whatever makes you feel justified in your holier-than-thou attitude.
Cash, GREAT video! Thank you. You could duplicate the exact same problems in every major and most smaller cities in the USA right now. The wealthy continue to gain more while the middle class shrinks into near and complete poverty. Even before the Occupy Wall Street Movement in September and November 2011 screamed that even college grads cannot find jobs that met the cost of living, the future of the common American citizen started to look extremely bleak. That was 12 years ago and citizens are struggling more than ever to pay for the basics of food, housing and health care. We are in trouble and our leaders think everything is peachy.
Jorden - By law NYC City schools must throw away school lunches daily when students don't eat them. This food should in turn be given to shelters for evening dinners that same day or put in those fridges.
How interesting. Just a few weeks ago a food bank in Rego Park (Queens, N.Y.) was throwing away non-expired gefilte fish by the caseload. The past two Mondays, a local homeless guy was sharing a bag load of Starbucks sandwiches that were about to expire. I wonder how there’s a shortage when there is so much waste?

If you're living of 25k a year in NYC you need to move south and west. NYC needs to send the money they're giving to food banks, to places where that money can go a lot farther. It just doesn't make sense.
That brings up a thought. How much does the city contribute to food banks? Considering, I thought, food banks relied on donations, I wonder what the breakdown is: municipal, corporate, citizens...

Upstate NY is struggling, too. Usually in my city, there's a really nice Thanksgiving Dinner for the community, but this year it was very scarce and very limited on what was offered compared to previous times (pre-pandemic). =/ On one hand, I don't want people to suffer in other countries, or worse, and on the other hand, I don't want my own people to suffer who were already here and needy.... -_-'
I'm just amazed that these community fridges exist at all. I fully expected them to just be completely emptied out because people would only care about themselves and take everything in it. Nevermind, I just watched further into the video. _That_ 8:29 is exactly what I expected to see from a community fridge.

This is a city problem, like most of America's problems. I live in a distressed area of upstate NY and my mom lives in a middle class area of CT. Both neighborhoods have community fridges and gardens. Both community fridges are well maintained and well stocked because we don't have hordes of invaders in either area yet.

Crazy. I was just at a restaurant in midtown yesterday and told they throw everything out at the end of the day! Pounds and pounds of fresh food in the trash! They won’t give it to homeless or anyone else! Unbelievable!
Beans and rice are 'culturally appropriate' all over the world and basically affordable. Feed the asylum seekers that and stretch funds. And I'm sure those community refrigerators were not honored with a 'take what you need' mindframe, they were raided empty by 1-2 individuals.
Jaja oh man your so naive, in my cou try Mexico we gave them what we eat rice beans and tortillas , they didint accept or like it ! Screw these migrants ! Entitled dummies who don't want to work, they're just in America for free things that were promised to them !
If all of these ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS weren't here taking from OUR homeless, vets and children, there wouldn't be shortages. The fact that they took Thanksgiving dinners and gave them the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, who don't even know what Thanksgiving is nor do they celebrate it, totally disgusts me. These people took what was rightfully for the AMERICAN PEOPLE.
Yes and our politicians did nothing about it.. It wouldn't surprise me if they said get there early in the morning and take from the American citizens that are hungry.. because that's the politicians we have in New York right now.
What a statement. As a military veteran, I can vouch no one is taking any benefits from me that I am entitled to as a military veteran, especially since one has to show proof of veteran status to be eligible to receive said benefits. You DO realize that the history behind the U.S. version of Thanksgiving is modeled on a 1621 harvest feast shared by the English Pilgrims and the Wampanoag people. The Pilgrims left England under alleged persecution and took over a land that was not theirs, as it belong to the natives living here. They hunted and took fowl that did not belong to them, but the Wampanoag tribe allowed them to do so without much incident. In other words, they shared what they had understanding that people were starving and eeking out what living they could. The event sealed a treaty between the two groups that lasted until King Philip’s War (1675-76). So, literally speaking, you are showing dramatic anger about a custom that was not started by any Americans, it was a kind gesture extended by the original folks of this country.

I work at the airport not disclosing my position but the government let in 150+ haiti parole everyday single day. and what comes after that is the benefits a $2250 paycheck every month.
We did a community fridge and table in my old neighborhood. It was a nice way not to waste food. But I was in a small neighborhood, and you had to know about it. I wonder how that works in a large city. This makes me incredibly sad.
Open borders create more needy people. The government incentives keep legal citizens in poverty. They decide to not work as they are getting enough to live to not work or work for a higher wage in fear of losing benefits. The more you give away the more you will have people asking for more. Maybe some greed in there but it is mainly bad policies and economics for the sake of unrealistic ideologies.
I guess they could feed everyone paper but I'm not sure of the nutritional value. Money has no real value, it just represents things with value like food and housing. If you implement green policy that will reduce resource production and then you increase the population through open borders its not going to matter how much money you have if there is no food.
agencies have put out stats that say US citizens waste up to 40% of the food they buy. If we try not to do that food shortages can be mitigated. it is almost like we waste food because it is our 'right' to do so. I used to donate a lot every year, but I can no longer afford to do so. it is disheartening. I'm struggling now to provide for myself and my spouse.
It’s the same where I live in Japan and even in poorer countries. Waste is natural the further people are separated from farms and the more organic farming people use. People need to leave cities for the countryside and do more farming.
Except , my family doesn't waste food because we had come from poor family childhoods. We will only buy what we need for fresh meals , casserole dishes for several meals afterwards and freezing fresh double made meals to eat now and eat later on in our house. Also , we use bought fresh food to make fresh cat recipe meals too.

All planned by the globelists
Gotcha. l8r
To get better you have to close the borders and send people back. Are you willing to do THAT?
So happy you moved from housing reporting to new reporting!! Awesome work!!
The main problem with community fridges is the people who take the food. They generally hoard a lot of it for themselves and don’t always share. They make the experience worse.
I take it you have personal experience doing this?
Sometimes I get food from the pantries that I can’t use, so I prefer to pass it on. I’m not worried about hoarders, that’s their business. You can’t judge a person’s need, mental health, or family size.

This is truly heartbreaking to see.We send billions of our tax dollars to Ukraine but the government is unwilling to help our own people especially our veterans.
We must seal off the border and take care of our own backyard first and foremost.
Don't forget the 3 billion dollars, annually, that is sent to Israel. (One of the reasons you don't have universal healthcare, and they do.)
It's not going to the Ukraine. It's being filtered back into the pockets of America's corrupt politicians
Trump wanted the to seal the border and he wouldn't fund a foreign war that didn't make sense. He even made improvements to the faulty VA. What do you think of that?
Ukraine is a major food exporter, it's in the best interest of the US citizens that the country helps Ukraine against the Russian invasion. Cutting down on meat consumption worldwide would also help a lot.

The Bowery is the historic model of charity in America, churches and communities. When the government attempted to take on the role, they created dependent people. People fleeing poverty in their home countries are certainly sympathetic, but not manifesting a legal asylum claim.
Plus white tax paying suckers like me don't feel obligated to give anything to charity since government spends so much on lazy ones.
Why is NYC giving billionaires asylum from paying property taxes?
@@marietakilpatrick1027 Are you sure they do not pay property taxes? That is a lie.
Yeah before the gov took on that role, America had a far higher poverty rate. Charities and community keep some of the poor from starving but they don’t have anywhere near the resources the gov does. The issue is the gov has done a shit job of it for a lot of complex reasons

When you try to make sense of it all by connecting the dots, figuring out who's who in the role they're playing, where we stand in this political/economical divide, then you'll see how we are all being played.

It's a setup people. Get real. Politicians aren't hungry
The future is looking very dystopian.

im not surprised this is happening... im actually a bit surprised it took this long for it to happen in such a large city
They have hundreds of millions for illegal immigrants in hotels but not much for the citizens. And you keep voting these politicians? Why?

If NY thinks they are having issues they need to visit,LA,TX,AZ & other states that have BEEN dealing with this issue of illegals taking their resources
The difference is NY is arguably the face of America itself.
When foreigners think America they think the statue of liberty, empire state building, American dream in NYC etc.
If the face of America is like this.... the entire country is fucked!
Good point I'm from Los Angeles California now reside in Las Vegas Nevada and dealing with the same thing. I blame the far left democrats
Yet Biden has that weird smile on his face like he is enjoying just being called Mr. President. He opened the border what reason, the media has never said why....
What is the reason for intentionally staying in a city you are guaranteed to struggle financially in when you can move to a cheaper city (not talking about the people who have literally nothing, but the ones who can still manage to make rent, get food etc.)
Anyone know?
The wonderful experience to live in NYC has no match....😂😂😂
Being a lil bit sarcastic here of course
More Jobs and more resources for handouts.
People get welfares and get paid in cash without paying any taxes.
People get affordable housing and sublease it for profit.

Kinda what your country is based on, "huddled masses" and all that. But in fairness, I think the idea was that they'd spread out all over the country, not congregate in one city.
Because one particular political party sees them as it's future voters.
Damn these bots that play "illegals" etc stuff, they're blocking real people from commenting. Really, most are from @zzizza* etc ppl, useless crap.
Good job for gray* whatever, get arrested for suggesting such a thing in roundabout way. Feel free to ABC-agencies blacklist.
That was my first thought. They're a horrible idea.
I have been a volunteer for a a "free" fridge for over 3 years now in a major city. No poisoned food yet although people have donated expired food but we as volunteers try to throw as much away as possible.. Its actually a great asset to the community so not sure why you think giving people food who may not otherwise afford it is a bad idea. A lot of children are also helped thru this
@@nataliealex597 Just to be clear, I don't think giving people food who need it is a bad idea.

I’m curious how do New Yorkers (who were born & raised in New York), feel about asylum seekers coming into their state? ..
Replacing 300k middle to upper class tax payers who left NYC, with at least 140k non-working, & maybe future lower income earners (if they don't double dip 😉 work undercover & collect public services) doesn't seem like a good idea. BUT the dems want those votes & hey, The Kalerg* Plan is just a conspiracy theory! Right?
Intensely sad, mostly. At least on my end.
They need to go back home where they came from ,like the few that came did.or go somewhere else.theyre here because no bodys protesting or challenging the situation people are not united and weak spirited most real nyers moved and that's gonna end ny 🤷
Wow your videos have jumped to another level! great job! 👏
Culturally appropriate meals? The old saying “beggars can’t be choosers” applies.

Hello cash, thank you for showing reality of New York City.
Great idea. Or send some home with the students/parents to pick up after school. Save time, gas and food.

The rich have the money. Not anyone else though.
agencies have put out stats that say US citizens waste up to 40% of the food they buy.
