I bought some dollar store zinnia seeds last year. My husband made fun of me. I planted them and I'm here to tell you that I had two full rounds of them last year. They reseeded themselves. I have them again this year. My back yard is full of zinnias. They are huge too. about 4 or 5 feet tall. He's not making fun of me anymore. :) Best twenty five cents I've ever spent.

Their Cosmos grow really well. They look like marigold seeds and grow like cute little palm trees. Their blooms are glossy, like a buttercup and their stems are real strong and upright. My main stem is turning green now, with bebes around it.
Mix some dr earth probiotics in the middle of ur soil, not the tippy top. They have dehydrated soil mites, kinda like brine shrimp, that’ll eat the gnat eggs that would otherwise feast on ur roots.

If you are into container gardening, those laundry baskets are goid for strawberry plants (plant thru the holes in the sides, like strawberry pots) and potatoes (easier to harvest). And those beach totes (the bog bag dupes) are good for organizing yarn crafts like knitting and crocheting (feed the yarn thru the holes from the inside out to have the ends accessible and keep the yarn from tangling).

I’ve been liking the bath options at dollar tree. The oatmeal baths for allergic/eczema skin and the lavender epsom salt tablets have been great for my chronic illnesses! I also use their cocoa butter conditioner in my hair (1b-1c), and it’s helped my scalp eczema a bit. Their body wash is good too, but the one I have now seems to make me itchy. I’ll prob buy brand name on that. The rest has been surprisingly effective tho!!
For food, I HIGHLY suggest the apple cinnamon or the caramel apple chips! They’re sooo tasty! I always grab them when available.
Finally, I recently found dish sponges that have cut outs on the side at dollar tree. They’re called mail protection scrub brushes or something similar. They really improve my grip as someone with disabilities. They are also great if you don’t like to accidentally touch food gunk!
Dollar tree tip as well: they have lots of detail on their website about their products! If you’re in the store and unsure if the bag will be the right size, you can look up the dimensions on the site. The site only ships by caseload, but Instacart is an option if you need delivery as well.

Over 2/3s of my milk use is from shelf stable milk. I don't know why more people don't use it! I've bought it from WholeFoods to the Dollar Store! I also love Bread Outlets. There are hidden gems around every corner if you look for them. I have also taken the time to investigate different cultural cuisines. Same foods can be made in different ways making what you have seem vastly expanded! I buy few junk foods or deserts. We take pride trying to "out desert" each other. We pop our own popcorn, make our own cookies, etc. We don't buy soda, we make fruit water or ice tea. We never buy cold cereal instead making homemade granola served with yogurt. We aren't deprived yet keep our available budget within its boundaries!

Only problem is he lives 4 hrs away or I would be giving him a shopping list every week! I asked him about all the Dumpster Diving videos I see on you tube, Dollar Tree is one of their favorite stops with lots of food and soda thrown out. He said they have compacters at his location. Does it depend on the area, do you know? I was also teasing him about the Dollar Tree now charging $1.25. Imagine my surprise the first time I walked into a Dollar General to see bread for $3 a loaf! And then Christine saying items were $5 in Dollar Tree? I mostly go in there for stationary goods, cards and stickers. I'm a new sub today, too!

Both work great. I also add leftover chicken or shrimp would work good. I have kept the bowls. They are microwaveable and the lid fits secure. I have been using them to store leftovers. I label my containers with masking tape so i cover the small hole with the tape. Perfect size container for work meals. I definitely need to keep my eyes out for the rice noodles. That $3 bag that you call the dupe for the bog bag is perfect for sand toys at the beach. That $5 laundry basket would also.

@@maryellis6293 that’s a great idea. TFS. I have a ton of the smaller ones in a beautiful peach color. I bought them when I was homeschooling a bunch of kids at one time to hold each kids stuff and still allow it to be portable. That size works well for anything you would use a magazine holder for except can storage. I use cloth bags for grocery shopping. I’ve always placed things in the cart on top of the bag I wanted it to go into. That way once they are scanned because they were grouped together that way things end up separated the way I wanted them. Such as stuff for the refrigerator in one bag, frozen stuff in one, everything else sorted by use. Toiletries in different bags depending on which bathroom. Boxes, cans, jars, packets and such bagged by the meal it was for. Using the baskets would mean I could also just put certain ones directly into the cabinet. Fruit/veggies could go straight to the sink for washing. I already know that if I clip them together with book rings or carabiners they won’t fall over in the back of my van spilling stuff. Oh my. I love it when someone says something that makes me think hmm and results in a new easier and faster way to do things. Thank you!

Don’t give up on the hummingbirds! It may take a couple or few weeks, especially as the weather warms up. I use 1/4 c of sugar to one cup of water. Also, Walmart has some feeders that are a little more durable and about $6…AND has a little perch where they can sit. Look for the ones with a wide mouth, they’re easier to clean.

Yyyaaaayyyy. FFM buys fab decor items! Love those pebbled glass lanterns, and those chargers for summer - gorgeous! Those Bog bag baskets' are terrific for stacking in the back of SUVs/Vans so groceries don't go sliding everywhere. The Bog bags don't look stackable. The DT baskets would be great in a deep freezer, too.

Don't use the nectar stuff. Just use granulated white sugar, boil your water to sterilze it and that's it. Don't add dye either. We just had them start showing up but they usually come in the beginning of May and we didn't see our first ones till like the 10th but I'm in Idaho so there's that
