Sandi, you do not give yourself enough credit. You are very very far from useless. I love what you do. I was a Labor and Delivery nurse and loved it. So your lambing is a quick fix for missing my old life.
I’m a serial watcher and not commenter, but I just wanted to say that I love your lambing vlogs. Every morning (we’re in Aus!) I wake up, milk my goats and while they are finishing their feed my 14month old daughter and I sit and watch your new video. Thank you for bringing smiles to our mornings!
Oh how I'd love to see a vlog dedicated to Carissa & all her hard work! Would she be willing? It would be such a great way to honor her loyalty & industry! 🙌🌷🐑🐏
Hi Sandi. You made my day with your words I see babies 😍🐑🐏 Now I stop working, now is Sandi Lamp time. I watch your Videos every evening- no joke. You made all my days. Thx for sharing
This is the high light of my day, watching Sandi's sheep having lambs. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Hugs. Prayers for strength. Be well. Be safe. God bless.
You are right on the money with the ewes lambing earlier when you feed earlier. It is to do with the pressure on their uterus. When their rumen is full the uterus has a lot of pressure on it as the day goes on and the rumen empty’s (yes they fill it back up but never as full as that first feed when it’s fresh) the pressure comes off the uterus and gives it room to contract. I hope this makes sense. The time between feeding and lambing is around 18 hours so I alway feed lambing ewes around mid day for mid morning lambing. Hope this helps. ☺️
Truly exciting to watch. I’m addicted. Thank you for sharing...everything. The ewes, the lambs (fave), mums being mums. Ups and downs. It’s best mental break ever! 👍🏽👍🏽😄
Another great video Sandi!!! Awe you called her Ruby Sue, does that mean you're keeping her AND her brother??? I hope so!!!! They're a special bloodline!! My days are complete with Sandi and her sheep!!!
Sandi talking about feeding for daytime deliveries. With our cows and my dairy goats we feed at night and have all daylight deliveries. Were in idaho and this is what works for us. Just a idea.
Please please please show us Billy the Kid in your next video! I miss him and want to see how big he is! Sandi, you are amazing and everyone needs to see your videos.
Ewe in corner with triplets -- Do you mind, I just gave birth, I am not ready for my close-up! Hey! stop it with the camera! So funny, how she kept looking at Sandi.
Wow when you mentioned the Pipestone Group I was like what!!!!!!!! I know exactly what group you are talking about, I was born and raised in Pipestone and they are great Vets and a huge valuable source here for raising the different species of farm animals.
My heart goes out to you! I used to get up at 4:00 for work as a nurse. I’m not a morning person, but you do what you do beautifully! You are beautiful too! 😘♥️Love those little newborn lambs! 😍
I have a recommendation for the naps (it worked for me in college), I used to have music on at a low volume. I found that I couldn't go into deep sleep cause I would be still listening to the music, but my body still got rest.
Another wonderful day in my life as a virtual....living vicariously through you (Sandi)....sheep farmer! LOL See you tomorrow, Sandi! I can hardly wait!
At 3:51... I echo this Sandi! It is such a relief to have a break in "expectations". Those of others and those of ourselves. With all the challenges that have come during this time, that is one thing I have really found rest and peace in. It has really helped me recharge as a mother and an ag professional. 💚
Sandi, you look amazing with silvering hair. Don't let your mirror tell you any differently. Ya know how good Mark looks with his hair? You look even better!
Hi again SANDI A good eve and day! Nice for you to have no drama! Seems to be going quickly this year and so many triplets! They are so cute when they start jumping and climbing which .must br fun for you knowing they're going to be ok at that point. You're doing great Sandi. Thx for all you do to include everyone here. Catcha next time...
Halfway? How can we be halfway? I’m just not even close to ready for this to be done yet! (Yeah, I know it’s not all about me, I’m sure you’re plenty ready for it to be half over!)
I love your videos and I wish in the future I will be as patient, loving and have the ability of looking forward and not letting anything knock you down! You are such an inspiration to me because you are awesome!! I love your videos and keep up the hard work!!!
Sandi! Another great video!! It’s amazing to already to half done!! That’s great! Oh my, Ruby’s babies are so precious!!! We’re in love with them too!! Lol!! Much love to you, your fam and of course your flock!! Luv, Kristin Ok, USA 💗💗💗
Sandi, you are a rockstar. Im glad you started feeling a bit better. Mood/spirit can be crucial when it comes to farming/ranching. Let go of the hiccups along the way, they are bound to happen. But holding on to it doesnt help but is hard to do most times when its your livelihood. You are still an amazing rockstar though sweetie 🙏🙏🙌🙌💖💖
Sandy, i get so happy when I see you have a new video. I love your set up, having helped family with lambing and calving outdoors occasionally, the lambs thankfully are in no danger of hypothermia! You go, lady! Hope the rest of lambing is no tougher than its been so far, the good and bad seem to be part of the whole deal, to rephrase CS Lewis!
Sandi did u figure out what was going on with that ewe from the other day (the ewe numbered 2 in green, the one that like she was having a seizure)..hope the ewe is ok if you can update us please
Here in Pennsylvania, USA, we feed at noon. Usually no lambing from midnight to 6 AM. The only exceptions...first timers (sometimes) and someone that was possibly having some lamb position issues.
I anxiously wait your video every day! I am not able to work and I love seeing you work. We are about the same age and I absolutely would love to be able to do what you do !!
So happy to have my video from Sandy! AKA My sheep lady! I refer to you as my sheep lady to my husband. Lol He has seen some of them. I love your channel!
When I was working those kinds of hours pet sitting, I would grab a quick 20 minute nap when possible. That way you don't feel sluggish afterward. Makes you feel like a new woman!
Hey from the UK! I sit and watch when you upload our time 6pm with my 4 children.. keeping us amused during lockdown. The birds seem super loud in this video! 😂 keep up the hard work. Love watching x
When I was milking, I always fed close ups after 4 pm. They always calved during the day. There have been lots of studies done on this. I do the same with my sheep and it works the same way.
YUP.... Later feeding, later lambing. Thanks for sharing and holy moly you aim for 2.2 and you are 2.4+ Amazing! There is always a reason. Side note, we could not get your lamb for our dinner, but we did get local so we supported local! So happy you got some sleep and yeah...maybie talk to the local SPCA and see if they can rent you some barn cats....or maybie get your teck guy to do some animatronic birds of prey? Just ideas. Hugs from Halifax
Oh and small side note if you wish to help with the puppy... have her sit, you walk thru the door first and on command...like OK or Come or Find...depending on what you want her to do...this gives her a job...of practicing sitting and waiting...hard for any herding dog, but worth it knowing they know what you want them to do. Hugs

Truly exciting to watch. I’m addicted. Thank you for sharing...everything. The ewes, the lambs (fave), mums being mums. Ups and downs. It’s best mental break ever! 👍🏽👍🏽😄
I have a buddy although he raises beef. He feeds the bred cows late afternoon. This year he had 100% daytime calves.
dan chaney that works with sheep.
It could work
I don't have large animals or know anything about them lol. How does feeding affect their labor?
@Paris Hopkins thank you!!!
I fed my angus herd at 9:00 to 10:00 pm due to an off farm work ,all day light calving
Things in three (3) are Good. 👍 It is called the “Trifecta” at the Horse Race Track. That’s Good (Great) Luck. 🍀
It’s trinitarian!
Love it when the little lambs jumping up and down the barn. Sooo cute thanks for sharing these moments 💚💚💚💚
One of my all time favourite phrases from now on is:” I see babies!”
O

Lots of multiples with this group of ewes! Congratulations!
Loved ruby's little one's with the spots all over them. The one that had the big baby was so cute
Beautiful
How is the Ewe that had the seizure ?
Does Ruby's lamb now recognise ruby as her Mom?
Good Question how are they doing???
Was wondering this as well. 🥺 Sure hope she’s ok...and that Ruby realized she had two instead of just one
@@Caninecancersucksrocks Ruby remembered but the lamb imprinted on Sandi lol
Another great video Sandi!!! Awe you called her Ruby Sue, does that mean you're keeping her AND her brother??? I hope so!!!! They're a special bloodline!!

Very nice crop of lambs! Love seeing all the new babies! Thank you so much for sharing :-))
Does it seem like this lambing is going by really fast to anyone else ?
It really is this time plus they started a week early.
Bet not to fast to Sandi tho, when she's been up for way to long on way to little sleep....
Yes it does and what is with all the triplets!
Right?!
Yes it’s going by so fast!!
Wow when you mentioned the Pipestone Group I was like what!!!!!!!! I know exactly what group you are talking about, I was born and raised in Pipestone and they are great Vets and a huge valuable source here for raising the different species of farm animals.

I honestly just wait for all your videos they are so joyful to watch and learn I love them so much 🐑🥰
My heart goes out to you! I used to get up at 4:00 for work as a nurse. I’m not a morning person, but you do what you do beautifully! You are beautiful too! 😘♥️Love those little newborn lambs! 😍
Your Lambs are so cute. The 3's are good. They help make up for other losses. Rubie's Babies are so cute. Stay Safe and Peace Be With You All ☮️
Flying Pig Preserve Hey. I recently made a day on the farm video and I’m stuck on what I should make next. Any recommendations?
@@rachelsark6148 maybe show working with a particular animal. Show what and why your doing.
I have a recommendation for the naps (it worked for me in college), I used to have music on at a low volume. I found that I couldn't go into deep sleep cause I would be still listening to the music, but my body still got rest.
I do the same except keeping the TV on instead of music.
Another wonderful day in my life as a virtual....living vicariously through you (Sandi)....sheep farmer! LOL See you tomorrow, Sandi! I can hardly wait!

Thank you for making such an amazing daughter.
🍾🍾🎉🎉🎂🎂🎂🍰🍰🍰🍕🍕🍾🍾🌷🌹🌷🌹🌷🌹🇨🇦
It's nothing but a cute little sheep 🐑
I made that same noise daily when I was pregnant with my twins lmao I relate to that sheep 😂
My cat likes watching with me, and started making her little groan noise when the pregnant ewe was groaning on the video.
You have got to be so full of love for them to work so hard to take care of them.....
Is it just me but I absolutely LOVE the black and white spotted lambs!!! 🐑🐏
Sandi: “she’s not all that smart.”
Me: “I can relate almost too much.”
🤣🤣
The groaner. She is my spirit ewe
Happy triplets week end
I love your ponytail tukes. They are adorable on you.
Thank you and good luck the rest of the way.
Your nap has to be under 30 minutes. You don't wake up groggy just refreshed.
I love your videos and I wish in the future I will be as patient, loving and have the ability of looking forward and not letting anything knock you down! You are such an inspiration to me because you are awesome!! I love your videos and keep up the hard work!!!
Lots of Triplets and I feel like a lot of them are not lambing at the end they usually do!

Love watching the sheep lambing. You are so busy.
Here in Pennsylvania, USA, we feed at noon. Usually no lambing from midnight to 6 AM. The only exceptions...first timers (sometimes) and someone that was possibly having some lamb position issues.

So happy to have my video from Sandy!

Glad you had an easy day. I was noticing how fluffy the sheep in the next pen are.
20:40 - I was really hoping you were going to get a Disco/ Rave/ Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) setting for your lights.
Have you been working on Kinsey not running down that alleyway when you open the door and go into the barn? If so, she's 100xs better than she was!
