(for folks on the fence like I was, this comment's for u) buy the mic - it's worth it.. what you dont really understand yet is that the latency is suuuper low on that mic and it has a soundcard built in (i thiiink) ... so it's like 128ms or something. I think my focusrite sits around 512 or something, so I want to say that it's faster than my Launchkey and any other mic I've recorded with. so yes, it's perfect for playing the korg triton with your dog's snoring. If you dont have an interface, you're doing this whole thing wrong. It's worth it so buy one. Also, 0:03:19 "FOUR CALLING BIRDS... " #frenchhens
Thanks for the informative video and the effort that went into this ! Really considering the doubler 2, I’m thinking currently on „finished“ songs and beats where I usually can imagine some „ear candy“ or whatever and I think this would just go perfectly with the provided features 👌
Also my Dubler mic seems a little too sensitive. It will pick up sounds just from it moving in my hand. I’ve fiddled with the sensitivity settings but it made no difference. It means that I keep picking unwanted notes during recording. It will also randomly give a very low note different to the pitch I’m singing, and being a singer I have good pitch. Is there a potential issue with the mic?
@@firefly7980 Hi! This definitely sounds like a setup issue so if you get in touch with our support team at help@vochlea.co.uk a member of the team can organize a call with you to get you up and running!
Most likely it’s a problem due to daw/cpu+ram/buffer settings. Ableton and FL won’t do good, if you want more out of plugins and low latency, get another daw 👌
@@_TheViewer_ brother u even don't know how high my cpu is... It a ryzen processor you talking about buffer size it can even go yo 64 or 32 buffer size even with heavy plugins like acustica zl version while record... The main issue is not buffer it is the not great compatibility of condenser mic... Thats why they always show in their tutorial a dynamic mic. I have a aston spirit (imported) and it sucks with their software
@@theycallmeakid6992 doesnt matter, live recording and especially at lower buffer size + all your mixing, plugins and etc will be processed the same in those daws, not using the cpu efficiently enough.
@@theycallmeakid6992 especially ableton and fl won’t handle high working plugins while live recording on low buffer, try stacking multiple heavy ozone’s in both, on low buffer, won’t work properly. @ yeah I mean, with Ableton I can just record a voice memo and drop it in and convert audio to MIDI. Then all the work is cleaning that up and you can make chords with Ableton’s built in MIDI tools, and all the work in dialling your sound designs and automation for whichever synth you’re using. Thats where all the work is anyways, I dont think Dubler is too necessary for Ableton workflow
Thank you so much for this. But I need more information on the controlling effect & parameters. Please explain to me WHAT that acutally is and does like I am a five year old.
Hi! To do this you can point the microphone you're using with Dubler 2 at speakers playing the recorded audio, however (depending on the recording and speaker quality) this may have mixed results, as Dubler 2 is tuned to work best with the raw voice 🎤
Great Video, Thanks. Quick question, am wonder if there is a way to route audio from an audio track in a DAW (that has a sample for example) into Duble 2 (bypassing the mic), for Dubler 2 to spit out the audio. Its just been a thought i've had a couple of days now. Note, Am aware there are tools for this
Hi! Unfortunately there is no way to do this, but you could try playing your audio through quality speakers and pointing the microphone you're using with Dubler 2 to your speakers while the audio is playing in order to convert it to MIDI in realtime - however Dubler is tuned to the voice so the best results will always be via live voice input 🎤
A quick question? I was of the understanding that the Dubler 2 mic had the ASIO driver built in, however I still needed to download ASIO4All to use it! Why is that?
@@firefly7980 Hi! You don’t need to use ASIO4ALL if you have the Dubler USB microphone - however you would need it if you wanted to hear Dubler 2’s internal sounds, but these can’t be recorded into your DAW so it’s more important that you have your MIDI routing correctly from Dubler 2 to your DAW. You can find more information about ASIO and ASIO4ALL here: vochlea.com/tutorials/calibrating-your-mic-on-windows

If you want to sing some simple melodies nd stuff this is good... But for heavy not changing melody this isn't that perfect it gives lag.. specially indian music .... Vochlea you should work on it because its unable to compose expressive dynamical melodies
Hi! The Dubler 2 software works as a MIDI controller that sends MIDI to any DAW you are working with. You can use it to play and record any sounds, synths, plugins or samples you have loaded up in your session, with your voice🎤 Dubler doesn't have its own recordable library of sounds
It looks interesting, but i'm not sure if it's for me... I'm not a singer - far from it, really. I personally actually dislike singing and pretty much never do it... But it looks sooooo convenient to quickly getting a starting idea - instead of clicking around in the DAW to place individual MIDI-Notes, especially rhythm wise. So i don't really want to sing loudly - especially because my room mate probably get mad lol. Does it work well with quiet "singing" or even humming? Does it maybe even work with guitars - playing into the mic and Dubler 2 then creating the corresponding MIDI? Does it maybe even do stuff like "microtonality" - pitch bends around 0.5 semi tones and stuff?
I just got mine and I am incredibly frustrated already. Any time I attempt so sing a note longer than a second it will start to trigger notes up the scale. Why is this happening?
Hi! Have you tried increasing the Stickiness fader in the Play tab? A higher Stickiness will make it harder to switch from note to note, anchoring you more to notes that you sustain while singing
