What you can tell in this interview is kid rock is uncomfortable when you ask his opinion. On stage performing he is right at home, but the fame hasn't corrupted his ego. You ask him those serious questions and he's uncomfortable because he thinks "who am I? I'm just an average dude and no better then any other American." As Rudyard Kipling wrote: "If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings---nor lose the common touch...." Kid rock is a pretty good cross section of America.

Nature is blunt and straight forward, but we had to add "moral" to excuse certain actions. In the end I believe what I practice should be what I believe and let others do as they have allowed me. I believe my life is my own and I can live it the way I see better for myself, I believe questioning someone else's beliefs is pointless.
