This is how to replace the dome light bulb in a Hyundai. The bulb is cheap and available here, www.amazon.com/... This should work with most Hyundai models.
I have a question. My dome light is working, but the on/off switch has lost its' grip. For example, when I try to turn it to the on position, it just slides loosely, there is no click or grip. Please help me figure it out! I don't want to go to a mechanic. Thank you!
Michael Bell It is such a strange problem, right? I think my best bet may be to open the light and maybe see if it popped out of a socket or something.
Realize this was a few years ago but obviously it's not the bulb it it's lighting. So the switch itself is either broken or maybe the metal contact or spring that keeps the switch fixed in position has come loose. If you can see into the switch assembly itself and see how it works maybe it can be fixed easily. Or maybe not. I took apart a flashlight once that wasn't working anymore and was surprised at how simple the whole thing was. Got the switch working again and the flashlight lasted a few months till it finally quit for good.
Thanks for the video. Easy to install. I used a DE3175 bulb on my 2005 Elantra GLS. Felt a little stiff seating the bulb but it connected great.
Nice hand and camera work. Great view of hand.
i lol'd so hard watching this video after reading your comment. Especially when the bulb was dropped.
Do all hyundais use the same kind of bulb for interior lighting?
Huyndai wanted to charge me $125 an hour to do that, fuckers. Thank god for youtube.
Do you know how to replace the light bulb by the rear view mirror?
What kind of ceiling bulb do I need for a 2003 Hyundai Elantra Gls?
Thank you very much
