Water Oak Table

Water Oak from our yard that fell from Hurricane Irma in 2017. Neighbor and I milled it.

I’ve always been told water oak is trash wood and not worth milling. Looks good to me. I just fell about 15 or so to build a house 2 of which are 30 plus inches.

I've heard the same but so far it looks great. They are well known for rotting unlike the live oak.
