Over all great cut and style. Love how informative you are. One thing I’d say if I were being picky, I’d work on detailing the taper more, could have made that taper so much cleaner. Over all great video and cut.
@@DavidFalla agreed, always room to grow. I hear ya...sometimes you gotta ask the right ppl, because though you can learn from anyone, it’s hard to learn from ppl if you’re always the best in the room
I love giving fades (not a license barber, just cut friends for free because I find it enjoyable and they like the results) both scissor over comb and comb over clippers, but haven't figured out how to fade on myself yet, high, low or mid. I think being oriented through the mirror is a bit confusing for me but I'm getting better with practice. Definitely going to try to improve my control of the lever I think that's would be a big boon to my haircuts on my self and others. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
I fade my own hair for more than 10 years now, and the best advice I can give you, aside from practicing, is always start with longer guards and work your way slowly because you can easily put a lower guard if you notice it is not cutting hair, but once you cut with a lower guard and it cuts more than you expect, you will end up with another line, and you will have to go higher (up) on the hair each time to blend that line. In the end you might end up with a high fade instead of a low or mid fade because of that. And the higher you go, the harder it is to blend those lines with each other and on the bulk of the hair on top. At least for me.
So for the 0 guard when erasing the 1 line, do we start with the 0 guard lever open and keep hitting the 1 guideline and slightly close the lever until it blends?
video is dark bro. need more lights
One of the best tapers out there right now great cut David
Thank you 🙌🙌🙌🙌
this looks sooo sharp, great job!
3 lever open then close
2 lever open then close
1 1/2 lever open then close
1 lever open then close
1/2 lever open then close
What I don’t understand is if you start off with the 3 lever open then close and you jump to the 2 lever open where am I cutting to?
Great job David. Please tell me which make razor are you using?? Thanks 😀

About what length/guard is the beginning scissor work on the sides equivalent to?
Good question, and it’s a #4 because that’s what I use to connect to my scissor work
