  • Kiwi berries are one of our most popular crops - small, sweet, smooth skinned kiwi fruits growing on vines that thrive in our cool Pacific Northwest climate. In this video, Michael shows one of our earliest ripening hardy kiwi varieties and explains what to look for when harvesting the fruit.

I'm surprised Hardy Kiwi was brought over from Siberia, here to California so long ago !!! I only became aware of the fruit about 5 or 6 years ago, and every fall I stock up on crops transported from the east coast (and maybe some come from the Pacific Northwest also). By far one of my favorite fruits (and best kiwis) and very growable here. How has the plant been here so long, and still is not MAINSTREAM, cultivated, and abundant ???? 💗

If you are in the US or Canada, the season for them is getting very close. In California I can find them in some stores, if not this month, then in September-October sometime. They are great, please try them if you can!
