Unlike a huge amount of kpop groups BTS have a far more creative freedom and that's what their company wanted. They wanted them to be real artist's not trained puppets.
Thank you for reacting to the Taylor's guide. She did an amazing job. I'm 84, which means I'm a Silver ARMY (perhaps the oldest). I found BTS in 2020 when I felt alone because of the pandemic, and the health issues I was struggling with really made me depressed. They cheered me up with their music and all the other videos and content they have on UA-cam. I've watched this guide so many times, and it is still fun watching it with new reactors like you. They're such are an amazing group. 💜💜
79 yr old. These 7 so talented but humble young men brought my love of music back. And I love their rap. They all have done a lot since this video was released. Because they must complete their military service they are taking the opportunity from late 2022-2023 and continuing into 2025 to complete individual albums/projects. They have resigned their contracts to return as BTS in 2025. 💜
Yes, they are a very strange group, family rather considering most of their life is as BTS, they genuinely adore and respect each other. The reason why they are still strong as a group even though they are branching simultaneously as soloist is because unlike other groups where members split up for selfish reasons to become famous as soloist. For them it's the opposite, they basically do solo for the sake of the team. For example in SUGA's mixtapes... he uses AGUST D as soloist name which is just SUGA + DT (Daegu Town) backwards, in his music videos he is always accompanied by six guys which represents the other members and how they took down the system together. Basically their story as a group is still portrayed in their solo stuff but with their personal vulnerable stories as well. I can't wait for you to explore each members so that you'll appreciate them more as a group cuz they all have potential to become successful soloist but they still stayed. And not to mention their music styles and genres as soloist are completely different from one another and yet they still work well as a group.
Thank you very much for this reaction. I am a 66 year old ARMY and not one day goes by, that I am not listening to them, as a group and their solo works. Welcome to ARMY- we are always here for you 💜🙏💜🙏💜🙏💜

Thank you so much for checking this out I'm a 32 year old Army and been with these guys since their pre debut days in 2013 it makes me happy honestly. They all have solo mixtapes and songs plus cover songs as well it's absolutely incredible.
I'd like to say something to you young man, the one thing I'd like for you to take from this is....no matter what is going on in this world, what is going on in your life, please face your dream and keep trying. I'm a 63 yr old Army, and it does my heart good when I see young people watch this video and see what hard work can achieve in your life. Blessings to you on your journey, and I hope these guys can inspire you as much as they have inspired and helped all of us, Army. 🫰💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

If you like rap, Hip Hop Phile is about their music influences (no MV, channel Enjoy BTS More has a great live version with Eng subtitles). Other personal favorites with MVs: Fire, Not Today, Fake Love, Blood, Sweat and Tears, Idol (last two have highly symbolic MVs so it’s best to also watch an explanation video).
All the member have solo work be it single songs or mini albums, mixed tape's or full album they are a group of solo artist in their own right and but they want to also remain as a group that's why they are such a global super group that is only one of the reasons. There are other's of course all involving their individual and group talents.
Thank you for wanting to learn more about BTS. I have lost count of how many times I’ve watched people react to this guide. It does take time to learn all the names but don’t worry about it, you will get there. They consider each other brothers, and really encourage & support each other’s projects. When they were about to start releasing their official solo albums before starting military service, Suga started a talk show called Suchwita so they could all have a comfortable space to promote them (without passive-aggressive or intrusive questions they often get). All of them & even other Korean celebrities have appeared on the show. It’s really cool, you could react to it or watch it on your own.
It's not very often that I leave comments on any video, but I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to look closely at the video. I could tell you captured their essence well. I am very excited about the road you are going to go down discovering their music as a group and soloists, I assure you that you are going to be fascinated. Thank you again.
Fun fact when J Hope was sign with BigHit he was the only one at the time who wasn't a Rapper there were other Rappers as trainee's at BigHit when he join RM and Suga. So he learnt from those Rappers and then started to join in the Free style Rap battles that RM, Suga and the other Rappers where doing in the Dorms.
Thank you for the BTS reaction. If you want a rock sound in K-pop, listen to Dreamcatcher's PIRI. Dreamcatcher is a K-pop group, not a band, but they have a sound that mixes K-pop and rock.
Jungkook was only 13 years old when he joined BigHit as trainee with BTS he's the youngest member. I think Jin who's the oldest is about 5years older than Jungkook. Korean until I think this year used a different aging system to the rest of the world. But now they use International Age.
@@RadioTeobasically in Korea, when a baby was born, they're already 1yr old, and everyone in Korea ages 1 yr older every new year.. so when he said he was 15yrs old when he joined, he was actually 13.. it's just this June I think when they started using the international age system.
BTS is a 7 member group who is now in their 10th year with a 350+ track discography largely written and produced by the members themselves conjoined by their inhouse producers. The leader 'RM' has 210+ credits making him the youngest most credited artist in Korea and the rest of the members are not far behind. BTS is known for being extremely profound at articulating what they introspect and composing it into the sound they with their artistic knowledge believe will deliver the emotion of their lyricsm. They began with their roots in hiphop but have experimented their way into currently having above 10+ genres in their discography with the main being hiphop, pop, r&b and electronic, but majority of the time its a fusion of these genres, or their subgenres. Like latin pop, old school hiphop with boom bap, rap rock, dance pop, ballads, emo hiphop, jazz etc. Since they articulate so well, their music is very human oriented adressing extreme mental health issues (all they way from comforting, motivating, to eery delivery with raw mvs that youtube asks for viewers discretion), sociopolitical commentary etc. Their discography shows the growth from school boys to the tribulations of youth, to addressing temptation, to reaching maturity, to loving onself, to finding the core essence of the mind (i work in the field of psychology and i have yet to find an artist that is as profound as bts in accurately potraying psychological themes) to fighting the pandemic to now doing solo albums as each of the bts members complete their mandatory military. They will come back as a group in 2025!

It was good to watch this with you and you be so attentive and respectful. Army just wants that reactors like you see and enjoy this and go forward to introduce BTS music to your viewers. Now you are well equipped to dive in to BTS's wonderful and extensive music.
I’m happy you decided to check this out. Thank you. :) Something interesting is that NONE of them had singing experience, yet they ended up with some amazing singers. And only two had dance experience and two had rap experience. But they are so talented that they ended up with lots of talent in all areas. That fact amazes me. One other thing that is sort of misleading is when they are talking about JungKook’s age, they are talking about Korean age. So when he says he joined them at age 15, he was actually 13.
@@RadioTeo Up until very very recently (July or August this year) Korea used their own 'age' system where you were immediately 1 year old on the day you were born and then would become 2 years old on 1st Jan the following year. The only thing I don't like about this guide is the part where the guys are promoting in the street. This is actually for a show called "American Hustle Life". This guide doesn't make that clear.
True but XCeleste started that narrative years earlier. I think Taylor just went along with it. But I do agree clarity would have been nice. But to partially defend Taylor I will say she actually injected no actual narrative over the American Hustle Life. Perhaps the problem stems from the fact she positioned it within the flow in a way that viewers almost automatically make the conclusion you are protesting. This problematic aspect arises despite the clip actually having the MNET logo at the top of the framing, the words last mission in LA written in in English, and some Korean around those words. In my mind she did present a film clip which if interpreted by an analytical person would not look like the product of a struggling, unconnected group managed by a small company of limited means. It would be deemed a product of some unidentified organization called MNET. However the human brain is not designed to see all details within its visual field. It quickly conceptualizes the environment based on what is sufficient to produce ideation. Hence I think your comment that clarity was missing has traction, but, in my mind, this is because of how viewers tend to interpret visual input and not necessarily a narrative being promoted like occurs in XCeleste's guide.
@suesaul4727 I hope you don't feel I am singling your comment out. I experienced exactly the sentiments you did, particularly when the XCeleste video was the go-to. What I do know of Taylor is she actually released her guide in preliminary form and requested ARMY help her revise the work prior to final release. ARMY sometimes benignly overlooks embellishments when they dramatically show reasons why BTS is lovable. I think Taylor did not want to show the extent of the hardships BTS went through in a member guide so used this clip as a relatively anodyne visual analogy for what could have been a long hardship list which would potentially have caused consternation and distracted from the intent of the video.
Do you know this year despite the BTS solo albums and singles killing it world wide the MAMAS have not put one single BTS up for an award. How to make your awards meaningless. Ignore the biggest records of the year.
Unlike a huge amount of kpop groups BTS have a far more creative freedom and that's what their company wanted. They wanted them to be real artist's not trained puppets.

Hence I think your comment that clarity was missing has traction, but, in my mind, this is because of how viewers tend to interpret visual input and not necessarily a narrative being promoted like occurs in XCeleste's guide.
@@ericweinman9447 Not picking on Taylor at all - she did a great job. I just get a bit frustrated sometimes.
Pretty much
