played a lil bit of the demo and I noticed that chest automatically open when u walk near it, I'd like to recommend letting players hit it open, it adds a small interaction that I personally find fun.
Yea thats valid it gives you the anticipation of whats in it even if its a short time. Just being near the chest and it pops open feels less enjoyable it also allows for mimics where the only auto open chests would be mimics opening their mouth
Amazing work! You should make a earth / rock spell that travels in a cone / wave from the player (it can push enemies away) You could call it “Rumble” or “Earthquake”
You should add a crouching feature where you can crouch in tiny little holes, and it will show the ghost or outline of the player under that crawl space.

I think that Lua is a good name for the main character, it sounds really great. So maybe you could consider removing the "legend of" but keeping the "lua" part of the name. Also, the new UI looks great and the future features are promising, I'm excited for the launch of the beta

I really like your art, its cute, consistent and a great tribute to old school rpg. If i can point a tiny detail, at 3:59, we see an enemy moving fast, it could definitely use slme smoke to emphasoze the movement (like the one behind the character movement)

You should probably show the players current good gold when they try to buy something.
what about support utf-8 in dialogues? i guess if you'll trying to write another characters (not only english language) love2d drops error.
