The plot was led by Christian Malanga, a Congolese man who was a "naturalised American" and had been "definitively neutralised"

What you say may be the impression poeple have but in reality congolases are not weak. This is due to our natures. Fighting and killing is not in Congolases DNA. Unless you push hard or do something which really get in congolases psychy then you will see congolases fight back hard against you. This is the case of rwanda. Most congolases did not pay much attention to this war until now. That is why you see congolases fighting hard against rwanda.

Hello brother. I am happy to see that you've also talked about this. Like I said, if you look at the video, you'll notice that Malanga talked about getting rid of the president and other political figures. In reality, Malanga and his son plus American counterparts have a gold mine in a province of the DRC. Malanga is of congolese origin but lived in the USA, he was once a captain in the FARDC. To be more clear, his main intention was to also gain power and have access to minerals, their coordinator said the leader told them that they were backed by the Americans. He wanted to use others by influencing them into taking up arms. I have a video of the son in their gold mine with the American they captured. It is always about the vast minerals the country has. They use patriotism and nationalism as a means of deceiving people just like kagame and M7. Infact, it has been said that Rwanda is behind this too. Kagame must be attacked otherwise we Congolese will be taken for granted.

@africaninsider exactly. Imagine all the weapons the president had bought! He is doing all he can with the rest to strengthen an army that was completely wickened during kabila's regime. That man also attempted a coup in 2017 but failed. He's been attempting to create chaos since kabila's time. Tshisekedi has really put the army at some level. It's just that we are fed up of the tutsi M23 terrorists. People are blaming Tshisekedi for all the chaos that kabila left. The man together with his counterparts put this country into complete chaos. In a nutshell, it's through this chaos that many people illegally exploit the county leaving its people extremely impoverished.

Which is a second part to the also British-led 1960s coup attempt also in Equatorial Guinea, which inspired the novel "The Dogs of War". The main difference is that, as described in the book, Equatorial Guinea is a small country with (partly) the shape of a matchbox, while D.R. Congo is a massive one, which would be impossible to control from the capital alone.
It may have triggered a major civil war if successful and maybe that was the plan of whoever was behind this.

Kafkian level of arrogance. Reminds "The Dogs of War", best-seller of the 70s, written by some Frederick Forsyth, who was arguably implicated in another foiled coup: one led by British agitators in Equatorial Guinea that was foiled by Spain while still in preparations.

Yeah sure, Rwanda is involved in this coup attempt. Those guys entered Kinshasa from Brazaville. There are Rwandese soldiers in Congo Brazaville near Kinshasa. Remember president Sassou Nguesso of Brazaville has given a huge large land to Rwanda, near Kinshasa. There were actually many Rwandese soldiers in Brazaville waiting for giving support to those guys. Congo Brazaville and Rwanda are involved.

@@EmpathieM Thank you, sir, for taking time to assist me getting my ducts on the row as far as this matter is concerned. I hear you when you say that they entered via Congo Brazzaville and that the president there granted Rwandan government land for their army to station there (which I did not know), but the reports so far are claiming that apart from US & UK, the rank and file of the Coup attempters (were)are Congolese. What I want to know is that what proof do you have to finger Rwanda? Or how are these or any of these Congolese agitators linked to Rwanda? Don't get me wrong. I think what Rwandans are doing in eastern DRC is despicable. But I don't want the hatred that people have of Rwandans cloud their judgments, thus creating too many blindspots for them about a possibility of other DRC enemies they need to also give full attention to.

Dear @ African Insider, This was not a really coup. This was a masquerade by the people in power so as to intimidate people. If you had more informations like that what most Congolese journalists have, you would have understand that Christian Malanga is a supporter of Tchisekedi. I know though that the revendications of Malanga are that of many Congolese.
