few years ago i've owned a beautiful V6 5th gen camaro, same color as yours.
and even tho i currently have a C7, i still miss that car so much.
the 5th gen was a special car, absolutely beautiful, and is still amazing today.

I have the 6 gen zl1. I have no idea why they used the 2.3L, then went down to the smaller 1.7L blower. It did make a difference. Nice ride..
LT1 engines don’t take well to too much boost i think it was for more dependability without blowing a push rod on a stock car

Thanks but it won’t be stock for long, headers and a bunch of other mods are coming soon.
++Ultra respect for keeping it stock. It's gonna be worth a lot of money because of that in about 40 years, which means that you'll be driving it gratis in the meanwhile. Clever!

Thanks! Yeah it has headers, injectors, ported throttle body, JMS fuel pump booster, 18% lower pulley, and the big gulp rotofab now. I’ll be posting a dyno/mod list video soon 😎

@@goat_life254 Yeah enjoy it now before you get headers though. Once you get those, the whine can only be heard from the exterior unfortunately. Although the exhaust does sound fantastic. 👌🏻

Mine is a Canada car, is that why it has a black engine cover with red lettering? I looked it up and everyone says that a Holden part.
@@goat_life254 Hmmm that’s a good question. To my knowledge all 5th Gen ZL1’s came with a red cover. But there were a number of aftermarket painted versions sold. I’d be willing to be it has an aftermarket or custom painted cover. Mine is being custom painted in blue by a shop as we speak actually lol.

I don't understand why the purposely designed the stock intake airbox to cancel out the supercharger's whine!?!
Not sure, it really is a shame how quiet the supercharger is with the stock intake.
What are your next plan, full exhaust and tune?
The car actually has headers, lower pulley, injectors, ported throttle body, big gulp intake, fuel pump booster, and a tune from Jannetty Racing now. Makes around 600whp. I’ll post new videos soon. 👍

Nope can’t hear it anymore. Only on the exterior when I’m heavy on the throttle.
what rpm u start hearing the whine mine got headers and exhaust also harder to hear whine
It’s honestly hard to remember, I’ve had headers now for over a year and can barely hear it inside the car anymore unfortunately. People say it still whines very loud on the outside of the car though.

How much did you spend on the intake? I have a 2012 ZL1

What the run down on these? I was looking at getting a new 1le but damn I can find these with extremely low mileage for mid 30's. Are they pretty reliable?
Can’t go wrong with the LS engine. Very reliable and easy to make power. I bought mine with 6,000 miles for the mid 30 range.
