  • The 2024 Canadian International AutoShow has rolled into Toronto, showcasing some of the latest and greatest new vehicles.
The event arrives as Canadians and the federal government are grappling with a rise in auto thefts.
The issue is such a concern that it looms large over this year’s event, both for Canadians attending and for organizers.
Nivrita Ganguly has more on the must-see vehicles that are grabbing people’s attention, and how those at this year’s show are thinking about the growing problem of vehicle theft.

All because of Trudeau's catch and release, get slack on offenders legislation. Other countries, with deterrent laws in place aren't having the same troubles.

What's the point of these shows these days, who other then the really wealthy will be able to afford one of these luxury cars, specially since auto theft is so high now, answer the question are they really worth the cost?

Yeah someone stole the manufacturers! So, they call this an autoshow…no Honda, no VW, no BMW, no Range Rover, no Acura, no Audi, no Mazda, no Mercedes, no Jaguar, no Mini Cooper. Basically, the show sucked!

Car manufacturers are happy when their cars are stolen. They sell a replacement car to the owner's insurance company.

You would think opioid deaths (8000 annually) would be a priority instead of motor vehicles that this government despises.

No one except public employees are going to be able to afford to drive anyway. Government costs way too much and make it way too difficult for private citizens to start their own business without the help of the government. The average canadian can barely afford rent and food.
