I don't get it. How could Barry have a crisis while as The Flash against Eobard/Reverse-Flash in 2024 with it now revealed to be occurring in November now that Thawne has Earth-1 or Earth-3 Wells' face?
@@ethans9447 because the Flash "disappearing in a flash of light" that the headline says, was him and RF going back to the night of Nora's murder as seen in Season 1. While RF was there, he ended up being depleted of the Speed Force and thus assumed Wells identity and engineered the events of Season 1 masquerading as Wells. I believe the Crisis made Thawne, whats called as a living paradox. Meaning he could kill Barry and still exist. Thats why he went to Barry as a kid to kill him when he could not be opposed by The Flash. But Barry followed him and saved his own life but when the old timeline was changed, 2024 Flash ceased to exist.

CrazyMan76 I’m not sure Crisis is responsible for his paradoxical nature. If i’m not mistaken, in the comics they have been taking inspiration from, the negative speedforce protects him from the effects of time travel - might be connected to the fact that the regular speedforce is supposed to be time itself or something...?

I think Thawne is genuine. Just listen to him at 3:19 explaining to everyone what is happening to Nora. There seems to be a hint of anger. And then, he apologizes to Nora. If you are a genius manipulator and cold blooded murderer vallain, you don't apologize to a person who is affiliated to your enemy, unless you actually mean it.

@@bashengatheblackmanta7003 I do agree I've interpreted it a bit different though I'd say that Tom cavanagh his version emulates the stalker silent creepy distant out of place guy that you just can't help but be suspicious off but at the same time he brings out the sadistic cruel type of callousness and in this episode he just straight up captures the brokenness of the reverse flash with the facial expressions everything gentleman I hate to inform you but you're all dead that is my favourite line now from the reverse-flash the way it was spoken the way he was walking around that room god it gave me chills and tortured that guard before killing him but Matt lechner his version brings out the cocky egotistical genius that thinks he knows everything and is more prone to outbursts of anger and equal to Tom's version in terms of bringing out the sadistic cruelty of the reverse flash like when in legends of tomorrow he said to Mya you're here because I killed that moronic leader of the JSA Mr Rex Tyler was it and the way he laughed at Barry because he's losing his memories and the fact that he has to be the centre of attention in a room they both successfully bring out the characteristics of the reverse flash Matt lechner is a younger version with less experience where is Tom his version is a more experienced old reverse flash who's in his forties or even 50s at this point
Tom and matt play reverse-flash brilliantly and make the character really devious as a villans but if you had to choose one to play your eboard who would you chose

I love that thawne mentioned that dibny was supposed to be dead since in season 1 episode 7 when facing Blackout and recalling the people who died during the particle accelerator explosion Ralph is one of them
About time the writers acknowledged the fact that we've figured out he was supposed to be dead.
I'm guessing that was the plan because it was suspicious that he knew the victims, so he must've planned for Ralph to die (no Ralph, no discovery of the daggers importance)

Frost is probably one of the few who can take Thawne down alone. Remember, she froze Black Flash solid and Black Flash is more powerful than Thawne, as evidenced by their little cat and mouse chase through time in Legends, how terrified he was of Black Flash catching him, and how easily Black Flash took him out at the end of it.

Sorry but that sounds stupid. Black flash only hunts down speedster's and doesn't attack regular humans, Frost killed BF easily because it's not human. Frost can't freeze thawne like that and he can easily kill her in under a second.

@@justinvarghese6852 what I'm saying is the process to opening the negative speed force is to think of every bad memory you have, and embrace the anger and hate for those people, so even if Savitar didn't know of the negative, he couldve and should've stumbled upon it like he (as normal Barry) stumbled upon time remnants in season 1 which Barry described as ghosting

I've seen some people get angry that Thawne got beat by the team so quickly but I think it makes sense
1. They have the numbers game and teamwork
2. Thawne has been in prison, not using his powers for 15 years
3. He let himself get cocky
4. He absolutely wrecked Nora and Barry beforehand so they definitely needed the full team to beat him

Well this team-up with Team Flash was great. I think here we get to see the team well prepared and anticipating every move from Eobard Thawne. They definitely came close to stopping Thawne but he definitely had an ace up his sleeve.

3:12 I'm sorry but can we talk about Frost's face here? The realization of what's happening is all over her face and she looks so sad and upset and shocked.
Can we also take a minute to appreciate the different faces of the people who know what's happening and those who don't. Frost, Cisco, Barry, and Iris have all seen this before. They know what it means. They all have a sense of shock and oh shit written on their faces. But Nora and Ralph? They have no fucking clue what's happening. They couldn't possibly know less. Nora is really confused and scared of the unknown while Ralph looks like he's not really sure what's going on and why everyone is reacting so severely to it. Really great acting on the parts of the actors and amazing how well they know their characters and what they have been through respectively.

3:52 So every theory about why this maniac is still alive was wrong. He’s a walking paradox because of his power is separate from the normal speed force and he had this all this time until this year.
It’s not about cheating death. It’s about cheating the timeline reset. The reverse flash used it numerous times to keep himself safe from any changes to the time stream that he altered. And he was trying to tempt Nora into going there knowing full well that it’s energies would corrupt her and make her exactly like him. So in essence he would gain a daughter in Nora and steal her from Barry. And he would even corrupt Barry as well since he told him to take her there. The plan within a plan within a plan.

Even though Flash season 5 was up & down, the latter half of this season plus the season finale truly made up for it !! I was so happy that Reverse Flash was brought back! He's the ultimate Flash villain !!

@@marvelgeekie9897 Well he's basically the Iron Man of the Arrowverse. Makes sense for him to make the biggest sacrifice and it really shows how selfless and heroic he's become since season 1. Plus, it's Arrow's final season and Felicity eventually asks the Monitor to take her to her husband. His children are also becoming heroic and he's left a legacy of good, so I'd say it's a fitting ending for him.

I’m pretty sure this is thawn at full power. Considering the fact in Season 1 Gideon told thawn his connection to the speed force was only at 40% when he put on the tachyon device. I really want to see what thawn can really do with the power of plot on Barry’s side

Also Barry: can't beat Reverse Flash even with another speedster, and needs 3 metahumans and a lady with a gun to freeze Eobard down, dazzle him with teleportation, punch him into the atmosphere, so that he and said speedster can punch him at top speed and not even KO him.
Okay season 1 thawn only had like 35% percent of his power because he lost his power when he deleted the flash from the time line, but was slowly gaining it back as he repaired it restoring timeline events. This must be Thawn at 100% and man he does not disappoint, makes me wonder how much more Barry's speed will improve to match him.
He technically already improved enough to match him. During the Earth X crossover Barry was faring a lot better than before and even managed to overpower and corner Thawne at the end

If you guys read the comics, this is the first time that they actually show a new ability on screen. This is not Speed Mirage or Time Remnant. People call it Speed Clone, and its a ability where you can actually create yourself a clone just by speed, and there's one speedster who can do that. Godspeed.

Iris, Ralph, Cisco, and Caitlin all cram into the time sphere together; and I thought it looked wierd when Iris was in the time sphere and Ralph used his stretching powers to go into the time sphere, flattening himself against the inside of the bubble (which I'd assumed he did to keep it from getting crowded, since time sphere's only designed to hold one person).

I think I finally figured out how thawne is able to keep coming back in this thawne said the negative speed force is immune to timeline changes so what if thawne stashed a time remnant there ensuring he couldn’t be erased from the timeline or die if he dies or gets erased that time remnant would remember it and just make a new remnant to send and boom he is back because he has been erased from existence twice once in season 1 and the other in legends season 2 but my theory makes everything fall into place let me know what you think in comments

This season has a boring main villain(Cicada,not Reverse Flash)and the worst costume of the Flash’s suit.
However,I think Season 5 is overall a good season.We have Reverse Flash as the big bad again and good thing he is the final boss but not Cicada.
And that this season has the 100th episode,with Reverse Flash,Zoom and Savitor on it.Savitor is still trash but Zoom is amazing as he still catches Barry.I hope to see more of Zoom(not Black Flash)
So for the next season,I hope:
1.A better looking suit for the Flash
2.A speedster main villain(probably Red Death)
3.Introduce the children of Barry,make them favourable.
4.Earth-2 Harrison Wells returns,maybe he gets his intelligence back.

@@godseye8785 But Thorne kinda wanted her to be saved. Because despite what he did and he being the reason for this in the first place he didn't want to lose her. Like he told Barry either use the negative speed force to save Nora are they both lose her forever. So since he created the negative speed force and before Nora was erested the negative speed force had already became a part of her. Maybe it'll save her rather she wanted it to or not. Since Thorne wanted Barry to save her using the negative speed force and since Thorne kinda controls it. He may be the reason she comes back if she does come back.
I like that Thawne is more evenly matched with Barry than in season 1
