Thank you! 😊💚 Your so kind. It’s been a great year getting to know our new zone. The weather here in Virginia is beautiful and the plants are so lushes and vibrant. It’s been a good year. 😃💐💚
After watching your beautiful video, I made a little research on the cup hooks and stumbled on a vinyl siding hooks from Amazon that won’t rust and you don’t need to drill, I just ordered now 10 pcs per pack is $4.99. I’m so excited that I wanted to share the picture of these hooks but I think it does not allow me to. But anyway I am really inspired by what you both do, I ended up buying few young roses and climbing roses. I’m new to this, but I bought the siding hooks anyway, hope these will work. Thank you for sharing your ideas.
Thank you! Very kind of you. 💚 We enjoy gardening together. Specially when we garden as a family. There is a little bit of everyone in the garden is very fun. 😃💐💚
Hello!! 😃💐💚 Thank you! It’s been a great summer. We have enjoyed very much. We are getting temperatures of 40! At night so pretty soon we will say goodbye to our flowers. Have a lovely day. 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Hi 🙋🏽♀️ we are in the beginning of spring here in South Africa, and my garden is exploding in colour because of my lockdown stress relief 😍 Great tutorial video, you have beautiful roses, I am sticking to shrub roses, but you might just inspire me to start with climbing roses 😍🌹Happy gardening 🌻🌹💐
Hello! South Africa! 😃😍 How amazing and in spring time! So exciting! Love all seasons but I do really love spring and fall the most. I can just imagine your garden bursting of spring color. Beautiful! Love planting climbers because we work in small spaces and height also helps our small garden look a little bigger. Thank you so much for watching and Happy Gardening! 😃💐💚
So pretty and a very cool solution for trellising without all the extra stuff! Ill use this idea. Have you guys ever thought about adding a slight curve to the garden beds on the slopes lawn? A curve that would look like a placed down (parentheses)? Everytime I see the lawn I think that shape might work with the slopes. By the way that front bed is absolutely lush and beautiful!
Thank you! 😃💚 I love your idea about the curve. I’ve thought about it every time I go look at the bed. We are also thinking of extending it out more. I just have to see if housing allows us to extend a bit more here on base. After reading your comment I was out front just starring at bed lol. Have a lovely day! 😃💐💚
I like your method of anchoring climbing roses, very natural and attractive! I only have one worry: will the little holes on the siding cause leaks in a long run?
Hi Indie! There are many ways to hang things on siding and with such a small hole about 1/8 inch thick this can easily be covered with caulking of the same color once your done and while the hook is in no water is getting in. A lot of anchoring sold online are not reliable when it comes to weather. Sticky or Velcro material tends to be ineffective with to much rain and or hot weather. There are also anchors that slip under siding but you can only do that where a panel joins (most of the time not where you want to hook something). You have a greater chance of long run problems from carpenter bees, ants, and even lawn equipment causing damage to your siding.
Thank you for your video. I enjoyed it so much and learned so much. But I have a question. My husband doesn't like to drill holes in the walls. Do you have any other tips for helping climbing rose to go up on the walls? (concrete and woods)
Doesn't the house siding get to hot from the sun? What are your plants in pots secrets? What do you use for fertilizer? My flowers will be all done soon especially the vinca, doesn't like 40 degrees.😀
Whether growing by twining tendrils or sticky aerial roots, any vine will take advantage of small cracks or crevices to anchor themselves to the surface they are growing on. This can lead to climbing vine damage to shingles and siding. ... This moisture can lead to mold, mildew and rot on the home itself. Poor choice to trellis them. www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/ovgen/vine-damage-to-siding-shingles.htm
Hello! This summer went by to fast. Enjoyed watching your flowers very much. 💚 We had temperatures of 40 last night. We might just go straight to making winter containers lol. The plants never scorch on that side of the house. We have a Zinfindoll hydrangea in a container shown in video we brought from last home. I left it there in container to see how it would do. Blooms are beautiful and it has done great so we will be planting it in the ground. As you know our garden is not permanent because we move around so containers have been great. We always keep them well watered and fertilize plants. We love using Espomaorganics fertilizers make a big difference. Have a lovely Sunday! 😃💐💚
Hello! It’s planted on the west side of the garden and getting sun a little past noon. Teasing Georgia does well in full sun and partial sun. Does flower a lot more in full sun. 🙏💐💚
Garden Obsessions ... on the tag (I keep all tags) it says ... climbing rose “Renae Rose” it’s variegated pink with strong perfume fragrance ... I spoke to the chick at Bunnings Hardware/Nursery yesterday and she said “there’s no such thing as a male rose and sometimes with this variety of rose it can take upto 5 years for them to bloom” I was like 😳 she recommended to keep fertilising it and giving it a trim once every 2-3 months ... hopefully one day it will bloom. 🌹
Like most flowers, roses don't fit into categories of male or female. Rather, they combine both male and female reproductive parts within the flower. The main reason roses don't bloom is they aren't getting enough direct sunlight. Keep in mind they need at least 8 hours of direct sun a day. If there's a tree or building nearby, they might not be getting enough light. Also, don't go heavy on the fertilizer. Too much nitrogen in the soil can result in excessive foliage but no rose blooms. Too little phosphorus, which is essential to healthy flower development, will result in poor bloom production. A nutrient imbalance can also be to blame for a rose bush not producing leaves. Holy cow Cher! I looked up the rose and wow! It’s a beauty! 5yrs! 😱 But yes some climbing roses can take time to flower. They concentrate more on there growth. I read about some people having same issues as you with this rose. She’s so worth it though. I hope it blooms for you. As you know we have three Gertrude Jekyll climbers second year they have put so much growth and threw a big flower party! There are so many varieties of roses that’s why we love growing them they can all be so different. Like ours is more of a shade rose blooms with only 4 hours of sun but we have them blooming in less light. When your beauty blooms for you please send us a pic! Sending lots of love and hugs! 😃🤗😘💐💚
Side note, LoVe your hair down Angie!!!! very nice!
You guys have some of the pretiest healthiest roses I've ever seen, just sensational.

Amazing🥰🥰🥰
I ❤️ roses
One of our favorite plants! Roses are so beautiful. 😃💐💚

Better getting some hooks specially designed to use in siding.
@@mariafolch8067 It'd be nice there are hooks like that so I don't have to drill a hole on sidings.
@@indie8189 You may want to read my comment above. Letting plants trellis on the house walls is not a good idea.

@@GardenObsessions Thank you for responding me concern. Yes, some caulking would do the trick. I definitely will try it. Have a good weekend!!

Hi ,do you guys know about red edden climbing rose.if you have please upload that rose video.
How much sun does your teasing Georgia get? I just bought one and I’m thinking of putting it in a part sun location (4 hours of sun) ...🤔

What about using a trellis for roses. Or is that not recomended
So pretty Angie and Ambrose ... I’ve got a climbing Rose that’s never ever bloomed ... it must be a male plant 🤷♀️
