    My first plane are the Timber Evolution 1.5m and its amazing i can fly and land very well (i just have about 30 flight on this plane). Do you recomend this plane to the next step?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC Рік тому +1

      You could totally make this leap, but keep in mind, it's gonna be way more TORQUEeeee when you get on the throttle, and you'll have to counter this with rudder when you get the plane up on the mains, so for the first few flights, you might just "jank" it up into the air to keep it simple, and as you progress in your skills, you'll work on that.
      Otherwise, shouldn't be a problem.
      Go for it! bprc.me/P51

    Thanks for the great reviews!
    You always mention you do not know your flight time due to talk time. Why do you not setup the timer to only count when the throttle is above a specific amount like 20%?

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC Рік тому

      We've heard this one a few times, but honestly, I don't want to crash for that convenience. Once I start flying, I fly with low throttle a lot, so I figure I'll be safer with the timer set to run as soon as I start flying.
      This is, of course, a preference thing...
      As for timers in general, they're going to be a thing of the past soon, with all the amazing and actually working telemetry data being shared back to us on the Tx.

    Brian have you used full landing flaps on take off on this. Reason why I ask is I have been using take off flaps and where I fly it’s kind of a shorter run way. No issues yet but cut it close a few times not getting enough lift. I haven’t tried full flaps yet on take off

    Hi Brian, watching your videos and learning! I'm a drone pilot, Part 107, and my first experience with R/C thus far was spending last summer on the HobbyZone Sport Cub S 2 RTF; this summer I have moved up to the Carbon Cub S 2 1.3 meter. I just purchased the Eflite FW-190 1.5 meter. I will not fly the 190 until I feel more proficient in the Carbon Cub. Is this a logical progression to the 190 in the fall or next spring?
    (I'm also a retired Army Aviator with 1100+ hours in the UH-1H Huey.)

    • @BrianPhillipsRC
      @BrianPhillipsRC Рік тому +1

      There's nothing wrong with starting with the Valient. I do think there are even easier planes, BUT in terms of that type, it is a great choice!
      P-51 would be a great place to break into warbirds, but better to learn on a high wing, and slower plane, if possible.
