Nearly six years since I walked up Coire Lair in memory of my late wife who died in an accident July 1992. She loved the area and we used to walk and scramble when we could on high days and holidays. This is wonderful footage. Very moving for me. Thank You!
oh Wow ! Who wouldn't be moved by the views in this outing, I can only echo the previous comments, staggering, fantastic, magical, goose-bumps and more, thankyou. 😲
Absolutely stunning video. I remember, some years ago, I did this the other way round. As I was coming off the summit of Liath I went arse over elbow on the rocky path. My wife wet herself laughing because I was one of those clucking safety hens to my wife ("be careful here, be careful there")! So memorable with that stunning drone footage.
Nice one James, great film. Coire Lair is a beautiful place, I remember being blown away the first time I saw it, as it just suddenly opens up after the initial hike up from the station. Looking forward to watching your Skye trip, fingers crossed for some great weather. Good stuff, cheers.
A fabulous area as you say, and I like that you mention the Corbetts, all of which are of the same calibre. Fuar Tholl is a natural extension of your round and is probably the most spectacular of the three. Well you have good reason to return for all the Corbetts in the area, and a few lower ones beside.
I enjoyed joining you on climbing Sgorr Ruadh with the spectacular views all around and especially down to Loch Torridon. I used the OS map to accompany you on peaks I've seen many times but not climbed. Thank you.
Fantastic wee video especially the drone footage from BLM. I had similar weather when I did these two and they've certainly lived in my memory as one of the best walks of my Munro round. Cheers and good luck on Skye when it comes.
The drone camera work is fantastic as is all the camera work. I guess you have a friend with you to assist. You make the most amazing video's. Good dialogue, atmospheric music, amazing views.
@@ScottishMunroJourney that's just blown me away. Ever considerered a career in documentary making!! A one man production company and you do all your own stunt work too.
These videos keep me ticking over till my next Munro trip. Another cracking video mate, keep it up. I’ve also got a guide booked for the Cuillins this year, can’t wait for it! Just praying for good conditions, we’re in the lap of the gods with the weather on Skye 😂
Not sure if I've already commented ~ but I will. Oh, if only it were possible to go back to 'my' Munro bagging days. Like you it was my passion ~ then I new nowt about GoPro, drones etc....stunning young man.
Gorgeous views! These are two Munros I cannot wait to climb - but as you say, we are spoilt in this country and I've so many other things planned I'll probably put them off for another year! One of my plans is to climb one or two of the easiest Cuillins, to get a feel for the ridge before I do the more difficult ones with a guide, or guides because I love climbing so much I want to take my time over them! But I'm looking forward to your video of doing the ridge.
Amazing video. Can't wait to explore that region. I've only started my munro journey. I did my first 2 munros in 2020. Took me 2 years to get my 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. This year so far I have doubled that. Loving the videos you put up.
Hi James, stunning shots and video footage. I have 'got into' Beluga Lagoon in the last 12 months or so and have used it on my own vids, so atmospheric. What sort of drone do you use? That's an area I'd love to explore photography wise. Keep up the great work, I am in awe!
Brilliant James another cracking video with amazing views and the music just suits the theme well. I take my hat off to you guys that make videos like this. The amount of walking you do going back and forth for the camera setup is crazy. You must be absolutely knackered after a hike like that. Well done again James. And I'm sure many of us are looking forward to your Skye journey.
James, have you considered a water filter system versus carrying 1kg per litres of water? I use a Grayl Geopress and have filtered from cattle troughs, surface puddles, tarns, Loch Lomond itself etc without a single issue. Used it last on Tuesday in the Brecon Beacons while pushing 44km in the first day of Storm Noah. Invaluable for endurance and surviving remote locations if you get weathered in.
Enjoyed your film James. Great drone footage and nicely edited with names of surrounding hills etc clearly marked. Torridon is a beautiful part of the country. ATB Derek
Wow James superb footage thanks for sharing I had an amazing day myself on these Munro’s one clear winters day just superb it want easy decent to col between the Munro’s because of that rocky gnoll near the lochan but great fun cheers
Wow James, what a stunning day you had and equally stunning views all around. Your drone footage was amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing day as always. 😀🥾⛰🏴
Hello really enjoy your videos im coming to the highlands in a week do you know if Ben Nevis has much snow on top looking to walk it and many others when in the area.keep you the good wrork..
What an amazing place Torridon is James. Even though you are now well into the couple of hundred tops now, it's a wise decision to hire a guide for the Cullins. Hopefully plenty more before that big adventure.
Back in the 90s the football stadium disasters of the 80s were still fresh in everyone’s mind and with the introduction of all seater stadiums with a better fan experience, disorderly behaviour was less prevalent in stadiums - I think lockdown has played its part and the younger generation of fans realise that ineffective stewarding can allow them to push the boundaries but it’s a much wider issue than football
Ben Damph is a Corbett, but barely a few metres short of Munro status, a big cairn might do it? Then all the Munro bagger,s would have to revisit. Show,s how it,s a nonsense, you don,t need to label hill,s.
Your drone footage on this video is staggering! Absolutely fantastic.
What’s the song with the drone footage?
@@sapg82 Beluga Lagoon I think?
Thank you 😁

Enjoy it you say, doesn't quite cover it, extraordinary, magnificent, amazing.

Torridon, beautiful nd wild ...was there some years back ...hardly go again at 76!
That Drone footage and music gave me goosebumps. I'm going to Torridon in 5 weeks, it's my playground, excellent video, just amazing 👍

This may be my favourite photography of the series so far!

Always a joy, thank you. Seems like we were in Torridon at the same time and very lucky with the weather 👍
We might have been - I have been getting very lucky with weather recently😁 An amazing area..

Majestic! You have captured the beauty and ruggedness of Torridon to a tee. . Loved the drone footage. Thanks for sharing.

Great footage that looked like a big old day esp that pull up the second.
Thanks Andrew, it was a fair pull up that 2nd Munro but worth it for the views 😁

Funny you say that, I have just invested in a Katadyn filter and now carry that rather than litres of water.. very handy 😁

When are you going in skye? Really curious if we are going the same date ahahah.
Just wondering how you deal with ticks?
I don’t actually get many, maybe 2-3 a year.. I don’t really wear shorts so maybe that helps 😁
Whats the name of the music your playing?
You spoke too soon! I was up stob a choire odhair today and in places was 4ft snow ❄️
I can believe that 😂 mad conditions recently!
