Bioshock 2 Ending - Good

- This is the ending for Bioshock 2 where you save all the little sisters and you don't kill any of the main plotline characters when given the opportunity.
My Review:
This game has really superseded my expectations. When I heard that there was a sequel to the original Bioshock coming out, I was pretty psyched, as the atmosphere and gameplay is really quite unique to these games. When it came out, I waited at the store for close to 3 hours before it was available for pick up, and I tested it as soon as I walked into my home. You are immediately plunged into the action, with no introduction to who or where you are. As the plot progresses slowly, you get an idea of the vastness of the city and the antics that went on as you pass through various areas such as Ryan Amusements, The Adonis Baths and Fontaine Futuristics. The music and soundtrack are as good as ever, and despite the somewhat odd plot line, there is definitely a sense of achievement and happiness when you finish the game. One thing that can be said about it, this game is noticeably shorter than the original Bioshock, but if you get as engaged and en-captivated as I did, you will never realize until you look at the clock and see that no time has gone by. All in all, this game was certainly worth the wait, and most definitely worth the money. Bioshock 2 is a new experience with its differences and similarities to the original that make it such a nice and smooth game. This game should without question, be on the "To Purchase" list for 2010.
"when i need you, you'll be there on my shoulder, whispering"
"HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!"
"father, what does that mea-"
"HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!"
Ffs I was tryna be sentinmenl
Top ten saddest big daddy's moments
call me crazy but bioshock 2 was my favorite.. playing in the perspective of a big daddy looking to reconcile with your little sister is transcendent
I felt like i was more attached then bioshock one and i havent even played infinite yet
I'm with you on this one. The first and Infinite had the more memorable moments, but 2 had a stronger, more human story that I connected with.
It's my favourite of the series.
cloudlocke same.
Me too
Same. I thought the gameplay was thr best in this one too.
When that little girl gave her the big daddy doll, I completely lost it. My heart broke, and tears started pouring like ten thousand ninjas started chopping onions in front of my eyes.
whats worse to me is that its the doll elanor had in the begining
I'm a grown man but this is one of the very few video games that have made me break down and sob. This ending breaks your heart and fills you with a deep sadness yet there's also some hope contained within this great sacrifice Subject Delta gave for his daughter and the little sisters. He maybe a fictional character but in my view he exemplifies true fatherhood. He did everything in his power to protect her and made the ultimate sacrifice. I think this ending is even more powerful now because my dad passed away a few years ago. I wish more games were this beautifully crafted and had such emotional impact.
Heart warming
Trancemaster2052 true
Where do you get sadness? This ending is beautiful and the reason why 2 is my favorite in the series. You sacrifice yourself for your daughter, and she will now go on living after your example.
True, I agree completely
heart punching mate :'(
If this ending didn't give you feels you are not human
Cameron Pickrell what am I then?
Gaara Fifth Kazekage why dad why?
Cameron Pickrell it gave me feels don’t worry :)
So...i didnt
Yes
The only game wich made me cry at the end. A lot because of the music.
felt the same...
Mass effect 3 made me cry also ^^
help me guys.....i can't cry
Yeah
Proof video games can be works of art right here.
+TheGamingVillas oscar worthy
you think that this is sad, play the game. you become really attached and the ending is so much sadder )':
god agreed
That Little Sister rescue music 😢
I pity anyone who watched the ending before playing the game
I actually got this ending awhile ago. I just like to rewatch this because it reminds me that even the worst of humanity can change, even though they've sinned.
I have always appreciated the Bioshock games, but looking back on it, I realize now just how compelling the plot is. The first two games showed us a world of ideals, and then Infinite brought us many others. But the endings in this one were some of the most heartfealt. I was so proud of Eleanor in this one, and I could never bring myself to hurt the Little Ones.
0:38 "The ballast water is gone. Release the docking mechanism"
*goes to CIrcus of Values*
*FILL YOUR CRAVINGS WITH THE CIRCUS OF VALUES*
Absolutely heartbreaking ending!!
I hope I can be as good a Father as Delta, and have as positive an effect on my daughter..
Even if Bioshock 2 wasn't the best in the series, none can deny that it had some damn good emotion!
Dash Najarian well for me bioshock 2 is even better than the first one and infinite ... i dunno i didn't play it yet
_VanDal_ plah yhe infinite man!
It's the best, 1 only had the twist, infinite crapped out near the end.
1 a classic 2 underrated and improves and expand but man it is short. 3 it own thing it good but it own separate thing
*Eleanor gets her first boyfriend*
Delta:"I've got my eye on you two."
The feel when "The Ocean on his shoulders" starts playing...
By far the best game I have ever played, defiantly an improvement from the original Bioshock, game was emotional, exciting, addicting, and just plain old astonishing. 10/10 best game created.
it just the doll that the sisters made for her that gets me every time
the doll was hers from the beginning cutscene
ok at first I was pissed because I thought eleanor killed delta but then I replay it again and I didn't realized that last explosion left delta on the verge of death. so this ending is kinda good since eleanor is letting him live on inside her.
"you'll be there on my shoulder, whispering"
"HUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"
I've watched a few Try Not the Cry challenges. None of them hit me, if anything they just bored and disappointed me. I felt unfulfilled and desperately wanted to cry afterwards so I decided to watch this and it worked hard. Thank you, Bioshock 2 ending.
Seriously if anyone can watch this ending without crying at all then I'm just glad you can do that, but simultaneously I'm sorry for you because that clearly means you can't feel sadness.
Oh, you think I'm a bitch now? I haven't yet pointed out how you spelled 'your' instead of 'you're'... okay, now I did
I'll keep being confused by your obsession with calling me a bitch
Or maybe that confusion is coming from a place of not properly knowing where your bitterness towards my comment came from. You do realise what I said was kinda a joke, right? Surely it can't be the first time you saw someone sarcastically saying 'hey, if this doesn't effect you this way then you clearly don't have a soul' or some dumb stuff like that. Obviously they don't mean it, and all I was saying was that this ending scene was just so sad, that's it, that's my comment
Oh you better believe being stuck in any emotion for a long time can be boring, not just happiness.
EDIT: Huh, doesn't look like the twat's responding. I guess I've won... ?
This was 10 times better than Infinite.
Good Joke.
because bioshock infinite is kind of prequel to bioshock series. infinite is just about poetic justice, bioshock 1 is about hypocrisy and corruption and bioshock 2 is about moral choices.
Actually... I thought the DLC "burial at sea" was better than the first game. LOL otherwise I agree
No.
2 is 100000000000000x better than infinite
All bioshock are works of art story wise
Gameplay wise each one fucks something up so bad it leaves you with "damn this game could've been better" :p (like infinite not letting you use all weapons at once , or the first one's plasmids lacking overall)
Gotta say though bioshock 2 had the least of that (the only problem it had is weapons being the worst in the series but plasmids are top tier and the upgrading system gives some weapons a huge advatage later)
I actually shed tears when I beat the game and seeing that the Little Sisters I saved made it too, best ending....
I felt the worst when I had to kill Augustus Sinclair. He was my favorite character ;-; One of the few games that makes me cry....
All was makes me cry ;(
Yup..I sobbed when the girls watched the main character die with him ; (
Love this game :) glad this is the ending I had
Same here. Sad that he had to die.
both infinites and this made me cry :(
I haven't even played this game and this hit me in the heart strings
No words can describe my love for this game...it really inspires me as an author and as a gamer
Watching her save her mother from drowning after everything she's been through was one of the most beautiful things I remember when playing games as a kid. The sheer power and strength it takes to forgive like that is inspiring, to see the pain behind someone's confused actions and simply help them. I like to think Lamb found redemption with her daughter, and Eleanor would show her beauty and hope in humanity again, and she would die forgiven and at peace.
All the Bioshock's endings (especially this and Burial at Sea ep 2) are the most memorable, depressing, but also the greatest endings I've ever seen in games. Truly a hallmark for the video game industry.
This ending music is the rare piece of music that competes with the Chrono Cross soundtrack
*Sniff* pass me the tissues
*passes onions instead* continuesly cries
JC360noscope Goddammit...
@@adrianthesnowkoopatroopa4810 lmao
@@plugboijohnny Wow, I can't believe I've returned to see this from 5 years ago.
@@adrianthesnowkoopatroopa4810 lmao I commented because I had a feeling you'd reply,how's it going? Been 5 years
Im holding back tears ,this video is so powerfull
@everyone wondering why she stabbed Delta. He was already dying from the injuries he suffered from the explosion. Plus the psychic bond between them had been severed so absorbing Delta's essence was the only way to truly save him.
You'll be in my heart yes you'll be in my heart from this day on now and forever more.
dang made my are watering this was always my favorite game
Better than infinite
Indeed ...must more focused plot and best gunplay/exploration. Last of US reminded me of this game for some reason.
must disagree on your opinion,i think every bioshock is great in its own unique ways
Not really. In fact, Bioshock was better than this one.
My chest is so tight right now, I just finished the game and it was awesome. The ending is so sad.
I shed a tear for my favorite characters John Marston and Delta
Ten years later and as soon as “Eleanor’s Lullaby” plays, I still fucking lose it. This game is so beautiful and I love it so much.
This was the ending I got on my first playthrough.
God I'm such a good person. :D
One of the fucking coolest endings ever in FPS games lol
I know im like 5 years late for this, but this game made me cry at the end becasuw of the music and her last words to us😔😔😔
These endings do bring a tear to one's eye
may we all never forget the last alpha series for he has saved many but gave his life for the future...R.I.P. delta
in the first bioshock he didn't die :/ if u did the good ending u end up on a hospital when you are like 80 yrs old but it is not the same thing as bioshock 2 and infinite.
Beat this game again on Bioshock collection and cried for some reason. I don't remember it being sad like this.
Good bye... Elenor..............you...were always...... worth the sacrifices.... all the.....pain.....all the mercy.....
Your sacrifice isnt for nothing Elizabeth..
we love you.
Beat these on the BioShock collection fantastic series , great stories and characters in each of them
wow I just finished the game Damn this is so good , Elinor will join Clementine in the after life.
now I will be seeing the other ending chaw
Hussein Mouazzen clementine?
warren byrne Clementine from the walking dead game
Hussein Mouazzen yes i had a feeling.
"If Utopis is not a place but a people, then we must choose carefully for the world is about to change and in our story Rapture was just the begining."- Eleanor Lamb
I just got the game again on PS4
By far the best game and I cannot let it go
This will be the best game of the trilogy and of all time
It will hold a special place in my heart ... someone in the ocean of my heart ... gawd this game was beautiful
Little Sister : Hey, look at this doll I made all by myself!
*Tosses it in Water*
Little Sister : WTF!?!!?
Very good review despite how short it was, you filled the review with what is important to the game itself. And btw, you can kill the guy in tube, that counts as a heroic thing to do i think, no sure about the details about how to get full good but you were close :)
Killing Gilbert Alexander should be considered good because it's a mercy kill.
This ending tore me to pieces but in the best way possible.
fuck i cryed
I'm not crying....just got something in my eye
oh man that was so touching. Now ill have to play this game.
Why do people say this game is bad?
Because their god ken levine didnt make it.
very few videogame endings actually make me tear up.....but i freagin LOVE IT when they do!!!
i cry every single time
this fucking kills my heart. everything about it is beautiful.
i also love the music it made me cry for 7 min. this is my favorite xbox360 game ever
This makes me cry, i love Bioshock, all of them. And in our story, Rapture was just a beginning. :(
The end somehow brings back memories even tho ive never played this game nor seen this ending!
red dead redemption and this game are the only games ive ever cried over.
That's the point. The little sisters are all supposed to be the same as it creates an eerie feeling, as if they were all machines just getting copied. The game creates this illusion until the ending of Bioshock 1 where we see them all grown up (we only see their hands but still) and that they all had the ability to lead individual lives. Rapture did not permanently change them. They were all just children.
THIS BROKE ME, LIKE I CREATED SO MUCH EMOTION WITHIN DELTA, I CREATED MY OWN SADNESS I CAN'T
0:37
EVERYONE STOP! I'm in the circus of values.
after all the times we were light on fire, electrocuted, shot at, exploded, cut, whacked with pipes, wrenches and crowbars, and STABBED WITH THE SAME TYPE OF NEEDLE, it only took one VERY dull needle to take us down. and now we lost all our plasmids and rapture is destroyed. and the next game takes place in the past.
how am i supposed to fire explosive bolts of lightning out of my fingertips now?
If I wasn't hit with the feels hard enough, when she dropped the doll, I fucken lost it
Wait so if I saw everything she saw, wouldn't that mean I would see her vision when she was in the shower?
yes

Beautiful sunset 🌅
OH WAIT ! now i got it , when Eleanor drew Delta's Adam , suddenly the camera changes from Delta to Eleanor . It like the wiki said , Delta are inside Eleanor , ;'3 such beautiful.
@kronos1233
Yes you can you can harvest one little sister and still get the good ending. More than one and you get the middle ending or one of the evil endings depending on how many you harvest and what story characters you kill.
I teared up so damn hard from this
Thanks Eleanor your daddy is going to be on your side for ever I'm glad that you stopped me from suffering I want to stay in rapture
Hi big daddy delta
Elealor felt like a daughter to me... what a weird bond and a good game.
this is the best way to end a game.. just like this..
2:10 to 2:22 "you are leaving rapture"
2:35 "you are ascending to the surface"
4:07 to 4:14 "you are now with her"
4:33 speechless
5:06 "look daddy, its you"
5:23 "a new beginning"
Bioshock 2 is a bit short but the finale at least is nothing short of EPIC.
i cried because its so so beautiful.
This is SO sad. It made me cry.
rip my headphones
@Maniacjelly my dream cast for the bioshock movie :
1.Leonardo DiCaprio-Jack
2.Subject Delta (close friend of Jack)-Ice T
3.Eleonor Lamb-Megan Fox
4.Augustus Sinclair-Robert Downey Jr
5.Andrew Ryan-Tom Cruise
6.Booker DeWitt - Gerald Butler
7.Atlas-Sylvester Stallone
This was my first ending for bioshock 2 on my first try... YEY
This made me cry first time I saw it :(
Mostly because of the music..
Beautiful.
So Beautiful
how much i love Bioshock
Bioshock isn't a game, it's a master piece
@THEKAZA117 You are supposed to 1) save all the Little Sisters, and not harvesting them (don't worry, every 3 times they leave you a present with the Adam you would have gotten otherwise) and 2) not kill any of the optional NPCs that have bugged you during the game. Yes, even the one who's mutated beyond recognition and ask you in a recording to finish him off. Just leave them alone when you have the opportunity to kill them. Then you'll get this ending.
THE FEELS
my question is we never know what happened to eleanor the is no reference to anyone from bioshock 2 in bioshock infinite there is only going back to rapture to escape songbird
sooooo whatever happened to eleanor??
The main character in Bioshock 2 is Delta (The first Big Daddy), and if you're talking about Jack, he didn't die in the first Bioshock in either ending.
oh god I cried when I finished it and got this ending
While I wasnt super emotional this ending gave me a feeling of accomplishment and sadness.
Deltas story is finished, forgave lamb, Eleanor hopefully stays merciful and the little sisters are safe-
But I felt sad to finally "leave" raptures story behind. If any of the splicers are still down there I wondered what would happen to them- or if there would ever be a cure for adam..
If you haven't played the DLC Minerva's Den, I suggest you do. Brigid Tenenbaum uses The Thinker to create a way to reverse Adam's effects. A cure by any other name.
The best ending i have ever seen in my entire life!
I am crying so much
man i wish there was a boss fight at the end of this like delta vs a spliced up sofia lamb in a diving suit
big daddy vs big moma
After I got this Ending and shedding an almost tear... I analyzed the relationship between Eleanor and Delta and saw how sweet the daddy-daughter bond, how sad because of the death....and how twisted because they are together due to a perversion of fate. Now hear me out, Delta was just a diver who probably had a family and it was probably his dream to have a career as a diver and he stumbles upon rapture and because of Andrew's paranoia he ended up in Persephone
Yeah but they were genetically bonded like all big daddies so sure it may not originally have been his daughter but now she is because of delta’s infused genes
