Recently started prospecting in Tassie as well, got my detector and chasing it down the west. Everytime I watch your vids, you make me realize how it sticks in you. It really is a bug, it's stuck under your skin and you can't itch it. Funny thing is, even when you go home empty handed. You still have a good day, because the serenity. I think that cameras pickup either residual sounds from the past, or even sounds from an alternate universe that's literally right on top of us, but we just can't see or hear it. Maybe that's what you heard....the sounds of guys working that very area in another universe, at exactly the same time as you. It's cool when you think about it.
Top video. Definitely some metal noise in the area. I find detecting and finding old stuff left behind by miners almost as rewarding as finding what you are actually looking for. Best find, cast iron door from a kitchen fire place. Location East side of Lake Burley Griffith (original town set up by the builders of the lake and parliament house) current location of door. You might want to insure ur safety deposit box Levi. Over here in the states they aren’t covered under FDIC and if there’s a theft and ur box gets pinched they won’t cover it. Good work.

You almost lost me with the fish comments..... Fish are for eating! They aint our friends. Anyway, that black clay looks close to what we call "baker's dirt" commonly carries gold and other metals. Its burnt dirt. I have some near me and the Carlin Trend east of me in Northern Nevada has been mining it for a very long time. Looks like rugged country. Reminds me of the places i go in California. Steep n deep. Beautiful coarse gold! Looks like a fun day in the life! Im getting the itch myself now. Think i'll pack my gear and head out for a couple a days to an ole spot ! Hey get a big steel rake and rip down them mounds ! They are probably full of small gold!
The Gold Monster will auto ground balance like what happened at 14:30 when you lost the target. It's because after hovering over the same target too many times the detector will automaticaly ground balance eliminating the interference (your target) To rectify the target lost just move away from that spot and let the detector re ground balance and then return to the area where the target dissapeared.
