one time I asked my mom if I could audition for the p nation online audition and she said she is uncomfortable with me sending a video of myself to people she doesn't know. I also asked her if I could post dance videos on UA-cam and she said no, for the same reason. she was like "I want to support your passion" but won't let me pursue it. the minute I turn 18 I am starting a yt channel lol
It's good that you listened to your mom to at least not post videos for now. This way, you can still hone your skills and post better videos in the future. I mean, many kids these days post videos on their own only to embarrass themselves.
I remember that i was so bad at dancing but when i started practicing in Front of mirror everyday and recording myself. I improved so much!! Now I'm the best dancer in my school :)

I was watching Jia and Fei (Miss A members) on this show about older women forming an idol group and when they practice for their performance they will record and then hit pause to check and see if they are in synch. I think recording and playback is a good way to self review and self critique.

I think the best one was the girl who was dancing on her porch. She looked very confident. The singers were pleasant, but some of them were pitchy. They need to practice more.
Bruh, I would have done this if I could but I like singing, dancing, and rapping, but it would be hard for me to sing at my full potential because of family members interrupting. I couldn't dance either because our house is pretty small also same with siblings. My parents also would say nope.

Currently, i live in a small house with 8 people, there's only three rooms so since me and my cousins are the youngest, we have to share a room and the oldest gets their own rooms. Some of us just sleeps outside or the living room. The walls here are pretty thin so our voices can be heard from the next room even if we were just having a conversation. I would like to practice my singing, but i feel like i would just keep bothering my family with the noises I'm going to have to make when I'm practicing. It's a very small house too so there's no space at all to practice singing or dancing without someone seeing or hearing me. I'm also kind of shy since I'm very new at dancing or singing so i don't want to practice in front of everyone. I would just like to hear your opinion about this or any advice on what i should do?

5:09 im a lyrical dancer, the advice that i would give, is on your turning, try to learn some basic turns on youtube, point your feet so it doesn’t look messy. how to not get dizzy, theres this thing in dance called “spotting” you look at a certain place and you lock your eyes and head there and yeah haiabajaba
When I was in choir my teacher would always tell us to make big movements when dancing because if we didn’t then we would look small and less noticeable and shy/not that good. She would also say to always open your mouth wide so that she could hear us sing better and to not be afraid to sing the wrong lyrics because it would still be better than not singing anything at all or not being able to hear someone sing. She also taught us that when we sing we could put one foot a little bit more forward than the other so that it would help with airflow incase someone might faint. Hope this helps! Even though I’m kinda late to the video. Lol. 😄(Can’t say any of these are facts or good things but this is just what I learned personally and helped me)
I honestly do want to audition but my parents would never let me. Tho I still seek info and videos that can help me with my skills. I realized recently, after playing the piano for a Christmas thingie that I have to work on stage presence, but of course I also feel more confident singing so I'm gonna ask my dad to let me sing next time.

Tough Love is so important. I hate it when people say "you can be whatever you want to be". That's just not realistic. Whatever you do, there's always someone better. And no matter how naturally talented you are, there's always someone half as good willing to put twice the work, and earn that spot. Talent is nothing, until it's cultivated. The good thing is, with enough time and effort, people can learn and master almost anything. And sometimes that leads to success. Not always, but sometimes.
