Imagine if the countries that stopped hitler decided not to do so? His hunger to conquer Europe would have continued. Of course stopping him caused millions to die but assure the future of billions in peace. A democratic Russia will be useful to our humanity then this actual Russia that is useful to Putin and his oligarchs. If millions of people have to die to secure the future of future generations, why not? We can’t live forever on this earth. What can we do now to make sure future generations don’t have maniac like Putin? Fight that ideology now and forever until the end of time.

It was Putin who triggered the counter-escalation. He sent regular North Korean soldiers, not mercenaries as they had done in the past, into the Ukrainian war, which had nothing to do with them. Putin bears all the responsibility for the expansion of the war.

If NATO hadn't been pushing toward the Russian border ever since the fall of the Berlin war, none of this would ever have happened. So, I blame NATO for all this mess. The US would never allow the Russian military alliance at their border either, which was proven during the Cuban crisis 1962. So NATO should stop blaming the Russians for something they would have done themselves if being in their place.

What gets me is the across the board dishonesty on this.
    1) Russia has never drawn a red line. They did say that such strikes would make us a direct party to the conflict, but they haven’t said if or how they’d respond to such actions. They seem to like flexibility. But that raises the question: why does this make us a direct party to the conflict?
    2) Ukraine can’t independently use these weapon systems. There may be a Ukrainian pushing the button to fire the missiles, but everything else is done by Americans with the proper security clearances. Ukraine can’t target them or input the encryption keys that are required to fire the missiles. That’s what the news and government won’t tell us.

To achieve peace, Western countries should support Ukraine’s transition to a neutral state. While this path may seem contentious, it presents the most viable solution to end the war and foster long-term regional stability. If there’s no neutrality, it’s hard to imagine any kind of good-neighborly relations between Russia and Ukraine.

The election of Trump, who has voiced skepticism about continued involvement in Ukraine, highlights a broader discontent within Western democracies. To avoid political turbulence, leaders should prioritize domestic challenges rather than extending significant resources to external conflicts.
Politically, the cessation of active hostilities in Ukraine would relieve the West of the extensive financial and logistical support it has provided since the SMO began. This shift would allow Western nations to allocate their resources to domestic and global challenges. Addressing internal economic strains and public discontent could help avert potential political crises within Western democracies.
The economic benefits of ending the conflict would also be significant. Europe, in particular, has faced major challenges due to the conflict, including energy shortages and soaring prices.
Supporting Ukraine’s neutral status may be difficult to reconcile with the initial goals of defending its full sovereignty, but it’s a pragmatic solution that aligns with current realities. A neutral Ukraine would contribute to regional stability, reduce military and economic strains on the West, and allow all parties to pivot toward peace.
This is a strategic move that brings tangible benefits to all sides, including the West.

Ukraine already is neutral, that is exactly why russia invaded. Because neutrality provides no protection whatsoever, had they been NATO members then the war would never have happened. And any peace treaty that ends with Ukraine remaining neutral only means that russia can rearm and invade again a few years from now.

Let's talk numbers for a minute
As per Reuter from Dec 21 2023 article
Russia has launched about 7,400 missiles and 3,700 Shahed attack drones at targets in Ukraine during its 22-month-old invasion,
Now assuming 3600 missiles per year from Dec 21 2022 to Dec 21 2023 that is 300 missiles per month NATO countries have to provide 1500 missiles per month ( considering a ratio of 1:5) will 1500 ATACMS missiles per month US be able to provide to Ukraine.
Another point here after 7200 missiles strikes by Russia , Ukraine is still standing, 😅 What can you think sending a bunch of missile to Ukraine to fire at Russian target will make any difference 😅. It all boils downs to mathematics of which most of the experts fail to understand . Question Can US provide 18000 missiles to Ukraine per year . Think logically general.
