Let me know if you are going to try any of these techniques!
Just tried the 'sprinkles' with the watercolour pencils. Fantastic. Much better control than splattering. Thank you.
I can't wait to try the tulip petal with the two colors! Also love the technique of using water to push pigment to the edges of the petal. Thanks, I love your tutorials. So helpful.
Yes maybe I'll try after watching this video
I'm going to try all of them!!
I’ll be trying them all. I’ve so much to learn. Thank You for your lesson, and your inspiration!
Thanks just love your video. Thanks so much for sharing. Most helpful for a 78 year old beginner in water colours .❤️
All the techniques were wonderful, but my favorite was the pansies!
I started watching you just because I was board, on lock down due to the virus. Since that first video I have become a watercolor enthusiast. You are the best teacher on the internet! Please keep it coming .🌹
Thanks Penny!
I’m trying all your techniques as I am gathering all my supplies. I plan to become. An artist.
Wonderful!
Your tutorials are so different than every other beginner watercolor tutorials . Not just a few of your methods but mostly all of your tips i have never seen . I have watched a ton of videos and have several books . So happy to come accross you Michelle ! Thank you Gail
Your speech is such a delight to listen to! Whenever I feel the need of 'something beautiful', I will click on any one of your wonderfully thought out demonstrations. Pure balm!
So many demonstrations, which could teach, could instruct and could entertain are incomprehensible to me, as I do not know what 'whudduh' is!
Thank you so much for your heart to teach. You are a gem of a lady.
Susan
I grew up in London, so am careful to pronounce things properly and not slip into slang, as I might do with friends!
I can't wait to try "excessive water"! It looks amazing. :)
love the early covid ccomments you made....aah the memories...and also aa great instructional
Memories are made of toilet paper shortages :-)
You are amazing artest and sweet instrector. Thank you young lady.
You inspired me to paint a portrait of the purple poppies I grew in my garden. Thank you.
Love the paper apocalypse comments
I’ve watched a ton of watercolor videos, and this one taught me more about water control than I’ve learned in my years of amateur painting. I love the seed technique! Brilliant!
Thanks Lisa, so pleased I started this channel, so nice to share tips with people all over the world, and they share some with me too!
I have watched this several times and I am mesmerized every time. I’m going to try all of them. Thank you
I'm off to try all of them. Thank you for such a useful tutorial.
Thanks Jake!

I enjoyed your humour in these trying times, and love the enthusiasm of your videos. Thanks for cheering me up, and now off to work with these techniques.
Brilliant, thanks for watching and good luck with your paintings 🙂
I like all of these and just hope I can remember them when I go to paint any one of the flowers.
You can do it, Renate! I believe in you!
Great tips 👌
You are an excellent teacher and your videos are first rate; not to mention your paintings are beautiful. Thanks for sharing! I'm going to try all of them!
Thank you so much!
What a world! I just started watercolors during the start of “the apocalypse” and this was one of the very first sites I viewed. Here it is now November and I’m not sure the world is improving with another probable run on pasta and toilet paper, but I have learned so much over these few months about watercolor, being somewhat forced to stay home and focus. I am now hooked on watercolor. Hopefully I improve with time but am so enjoying the process! Thank you Michelle!
Thank you Sophia, let's hope toilet paper and pasta remain available!
Such a brilliant video! Great tips, can’t wait to try them! Thank you for your work❤️
Thank you so much. So helpful. Struggling with flowers, and leaves.
You are so welcome!

Thanks so much Anne 😊
Yes the white yellow Plumeria
Great ideas! Thank you, Michele!
No problem :-)
Amazing results, and THANK YOU for sharing! I would love to see painting leaves and petals from various perspectives as they dont all face forward, and how to apply the bleeding and other techniques in those situations.
No problem Debrah, I will be doing some full flower tutorials so you will be able to see the application of the techniques :-)
Brilliant, as always, Michele! 😄 I'll be trying them all, will post on your FB page!

You too Sharon!
Oh! No! No fancy nail polish? Well we love you just as much. Great tutorial love the techniques.
It's the virus, my nail lady can't work 😥😆
Love your videos but I must say that your natural nails are less distracting than those bright orange ones.
Thanks for so many useful tips to practice. Can't wait to try them all!
So glad Melinda!
Love all the techniques. I've been playing around with Inktense pans and pencils. They don't rewet once fully dry which is awesome for layering etc. I've also had a play around with my watercolour pencils and find them fun to play with too
My students love Inktense, although I haven't used them much myself!
Thank you for the easily understandable tips!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you Michele, brilliant tips
Thanks for watching!
Hello, watercolors markers are the quickest way to achieve the edge around leaves. Just outline with the marker, soften the inner edge with water, blend into the center and drop in some color at the base. Love your channel, your ideas and how you present yourself. Watercolor markers are great for so many things to speed a painting along. I bet you could come up with more uses for them then I have in my paintings. I look forward to your video on this!!!
Thanks for the tips, we share the same name I see! Watercolor markers, great idea :-)
@@IntheStudiowithMicheleWebber Yes, we do! The brand I like is Castle Art Supplies. You also get one empty marker brush that you fill with water. Perfect for blending. Also a water bottle with a dropper is perfect for dropping in the center of leaves, petals, etc to get the paint to move to the edge.
Thank you dear. Just lovely.
Most welcome 😊
Just found your channel and loved you from the getgo - you put so much effort into your tutorials/lessons, that it completely motivated me to start my watercolour journey again. I have spent so much time searching for a good teacher because I could see that my work lacked a deeper understanding of what I'm actually doing, and more importantly, why. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and knowledge so generously with us - you are a Godsend! Excited to start this journey guided by your kind spirit and expertise ⚘
Thanks so much!
Fantastic instruction. Nice and clear, easy to follow. I wrote every technique out, with illustrations, in my sketch book where I won't lose it!
Sounds a great idea Sally, so pleased it helped you!
i am gonna trie them all!! So much information, love this video, very helphull!
Brilliant Iris, so glad you like the video!
I can't wait to try all of your techniques. I think I will draw up a whole bunch of flower petals just so I can go in and practice your techniques. Thanks again!
Wonderful!
Learning a lot from you. Thanks a ton.
Great ideas
Thank you! 😊
Nice tutorial and awesome 👍
Thank you!
So lovely your work Michele.
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely beautiful and very great learning experience
Thanks Melanie!
Another excellent and very useful video! While I was watching it I thought about a sample book my sister had to do more than half a century ago in her Home Economics sewing class. Each page had at least one type of hemming stitch, buttonhole, etc., and then notes on how to do it and what it was best used for. So, instead of just taking notes, I’m going to get those page protectors you mentioned that you use for swatching and try as best I can to copy each technique you demonstrate. I think it will reinforce what you are teaching us.
That's a great idea, thanks for watching!
Fantastic watercolour flower painting, love your artwork

Thanks Paty, you stay safe too!
Thank you for all the tips. I can hardly wait to try the pencil sprinkles!
Have fun!
First off, I love your instructional videos. This came to me at just the right time as I am about to start a painting of lilies for my daughter. She likes vivid colors so I'm thinking some fuchsia flowers would work. I'm going to try the watercolor pencil sharpening and the controlled bleeding out petals techmiques. I so appreciate your style of teaching and your manner of delivery, Thank you!
You are very welcome Rita, I am sure your daughter will love the painting!
Thank you, that was very helpeful
You are very welcome ☺️
Great techniques, good fun thanks.
Glad you like them!
I learned so much from this video!
I'm so glad!
Thank you for sharing these techniques. I am not a very accomplished botanical artist, mainly because I lack the know-how. You have shown that there is no mystery to it, just simple but effective techniques. Off I go to wet my brushes and start a new relationship with my Derwent watercolour pencils, which I have never got on with.
I know that love hate relationship with pencils, but if you can find the right use for them...
Thank you! Loved the video and also the comment on the 'UK Survival Kit!' Who knew?
I'm going to try all of these techniques just as soon as I've finished painting and decorating my house so it's in a fit state for the apocalypse! (LOL?)
You're welcome ☺️ I am vegan so I am hoarding tofu 😉
Michele, I am really enjoying your tutorials. I started watercolours this past year and am finally feeling relaxed while painting - very different from acrylics. Your tips & thorough explanations are so inspiring. Keep well & stay safe. Hi from Vancouver, Canada ♥
You are so welcome! Hi Vancouver from Suffolk, England :-)
I'm from Vancouver too!
I will try all of them thank you so much as I am a new painter and all this helps me
Wonderful!
I could watch your vids all day. Got to start putting brush to paper pretty soon.
Always easier to watch, I do the same thing 😆
Obsessed with beans and toilet paper lol, same here in Adelaide, south Australia
I'm going to try all of them.
Good luck 😃
I just found you on UTube and am really enjoying your tutorials! I have been in classes for years but no one teaches technique. Your tutorials are very clear & informative. I look forward to watching more!
Awesome! Thank you. That's exactly why I started teaching!
Very nice tutorial. Thank you.
You are welcome!
I love this video. It is so informative. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
Thank you 💓
No problem
Hi Michelle, I decided to do those examples along with you. The blending is harder than it looks. You really need a delicate hand. Thanks for hanging in there.
Blending is easier on a wet surface than a dry one (although it can be done!) You will get better the more you do :-)
Give you as much support as we can... really enjoy your instructions.... even way out here in Australia
I appreciate that!
Hello Michele I just found your channel! My orchids are coincidentally just now blooming so I’m about to try some of your techniques! I’ve never tried florals before! Stay healthy and I look forward to more videos! Cheers!
Hello Carolyn 👋 thanks for watching and good luck with your flowers 😀
