Look how lean he looks here. A rather big upper body and moves like a swan in the lane. This was his best year IMO when he had Capela and focused on assists as much as he scored. Once they traded Capela that was the beginning of the snowball
this season with doc hes used only 8th most on the team... coach dont know how to use him other than for assists

this version of james harden was truly amazing. his years in houston weren't appreciated because it didn't lead to championships or finals appearances but for awhile teams in the league seriously didn't know how to defend him without it leading to a bucket, assist. or foul. an offensive genius when he plays with force. routinely put up monster numbers year in and year out against the NBA's elite defensive teams and defensive players. he had deep playoff runs with squads that weren't totally stacked with talent. it's crazy how differently he plays now, more passive and less aggressiveness scoring-wise. philly needs this harden, or at least some parts of it, if they want to win a ring .

@@ZealousPower He's still the same harden. The rules changed and he can't adapt. Watch ALL of his "highlights". How many defenders actually contested layups? Almost none of them. They were too afraid to foul so he would just stroll in for a layup. Fast forward to now with the rule changes, defenders can now play better on ball defense without the fear that the offensive player initiating contact will be called a foul on the defender.

He put up the first 60 point triple double in NBA history, and scored over half of the Rockets points... meanwhile me and my overrated team lost to the Wizards without John Wall, while I shot 5-18 and had 7 turnovers. He’s definitely the MVP this season, and he should’ve won it over me last year too

I used to really criticize Hardens game for the past couple of years. But his performance this year has been terrific. His offensive game has improved, as well as his defense. The rockets are a 2 seed in the west. Give this man the MVP. He deserves it.
I remember that was at the start of my last year at School which I was a casual fan of the game at the time but once I first watched what Harden was doing I was like right Harden is now my favourite player I've ever watched because not only was he putting up 40, 50 and 60 games consistently but he became like Steph Curry when it comes to shooting and making difficult step back threes and getting fouled sometimes as well and not only that but when I watched game 1 of the Rockets vs Timberwolfs 1st round Playoff series I was in my classroom with my teacher and the rest of his students and once we all saw Harden take and make the double step back three that people keep complaining to this day that it was a travel that immediately made me become Harden's biggest fan then when the Rockets vs Warriors series came around me and one of my friends who was a Warriors fan at the time were out playing basketball at play time and we were bothered by what the scores said and in games 2, 4 and 5 I was going let's go Rockets Harden is about to beat you all then when the Rockets took a 3-2 lead I let one of my friends know after score walking out to the buses and he was going noooooo!!!!! Stoooop!!!! and I was cracking up laughing then a few days later I got owned by him and he said haha I told you we were going to win lol.

it's almost kinda weird that Harden doesn't need any tricks or hesitation moves to score in the paint. Seems like he's just too strong for anyone to stay in front of him.
As soon as Harden gets the ball it becomes magnetized- the ball just follows him through a sea of defenders, he doesn't even have to dribble.
Harden has a mini force shield that switches on when he drives, gives him just enough space for a layup between 5 defenders.

According to the statistic of game score, this game by harden is better statistically than the game luka had last night, although only slightly. Luka had a game score of 56.30 and Harden had a game score of 56.60. This Harden game still stands as the 4th greatest statistical performance in nba history according to game score.
Luka deserves all the credit in the world for his historic game. But I do get where Harden stans are coming from. There's a level of fanfare that Harden didn't receive that I think people felt they missed out on because Hardens praise was almost always in lockstep with strong criticism . It always felt like his praise was piggy backing off backhanded criticism.
