    Another excellent video.. Shows real time action and not just the imagination of what the truck would do by other UTubers. Truth and not just opinion makes it a much better video. Keep them coming!

    Loving your videos. I'm pretty impressed with the 4 cylinder turbo engine. I'm praying the new engine will last for a long time like older Toyota engines. We will wait and see.

      Thank you! You need to go check out my new payload video. I put 25 bales of hay in the bed😂 I’m hoping they last a long time too! Too bad we can’t fast forward and just find out the answer to that😂

    Light bar, winch, tool box in the bed. Also, you mentioned it riding a bit rough. I think a suspension test on mountain hunting trails is in order.

    Good review! A couple of things you might want to on next test to have the tractors buckle forward. That should appease anyone thinking you are over loading the tongue. The trucks bed raising is just the hazard of loading but you were very smart using lever ground. I think in my view one of the Taco’s weaknesses is that plastic bed being too light. What I would like to see how it would tow from a complete stop on an incline. In a real world situation I am concern if the engine can do it confidently. Of course something sensible not damage your truck or get Taco lovers harsh feedback. Just to put out where Im coming from Im a Frontier owner and Im still on the ropes of new engines. As for the bed Im welding inspector never been a fan of composite material. I think the individuals that were on the last submersible dive to the Titanic would have agreed with me. 😢

    • @counterfeitcowboy1362
      @counterfeitcowboy1362  8 місяців тому +2

      Thank you! I thought about loading it with the bucket forward but that would have put all the weight over the axles and not enough on the tongue. So I figured too much on the tongue is better. Towing from a stop on a hill is a great idea! Maybe I’ll make a short about that! Thank you for watching!

    Can you do a video on the towing guide lines AND the back up assist. I have yet to find ANY Tacoma videos where they talk specifically about the back up assist. This is what I am specifically looking for, with this truck!

    Nice video. Can it use the active lane centering on the highway while towing? Not just the warning steering tugs. Lighter trailer like 2500lbs. That would be useful to know for long hauls.

    I tow a boat that weighs about the same, or a little more than your trailer. I’m on the fence right now on the hybrid. Any regrets on not getting the hybrid ($4000 more)?

    • @counterfeitcowboy1362
      @counterfeitcowboy1362  8 місяців тому +1

      I feel like if you want to have more power than you will ever need, then spend the money. But the gas powertrain had plenty of power. I never felt like it was lacking. The other thing is my truck is rated for about 6400 pounds. The hybrid is rated for 6000 because of the added weight of the hybrid system. So it picks up a ton of power but loses 400 pounds in tow rating.

    22 TRD Off Road 4x4 V6 with manual trans. Live in Tampa but camp in the Smoky & Blue Ridge Mountain areas frequently. Pull a small utility style camper, 2500 lbs loaded, which has a front pull-out kitchen that has tongue weight. Installed quality air bags at the get go to eliminate any rear squat. Trailer is base camp as we explore & hike nearby areas. No problems with any inclines traveling this way. Keeping it Simple.

  • @chrisfrank8413

    No trailer brakes towing 6500 lbs is illegal. That's because in an emergency stop your going to be unable to stop, putting others at rick of injury.

    WAY too much tongue weight my guy. You should've taken advantage of the dual axle trailer with the heaviest part of the load. Thanks for the content.

    • @counterfeitcowboy1362
      @counterfeitcowboy1362  8 місяців тому +5

      Yeah I didn’t love how far forward it was but the tractor was too long so there wasn’t all that much room to move it back. And if I loaded it the other way it would have been all over the axles with no tongue weight. So I figured too much tongue weight was better than none. Thank you for watching tho!
