Excellent review. Pardon my superficiality but a game with high production values (and that doesn’t mean loads of minis in my case) and beautiful artwork (what a box!) will often pull me in. Each to their own.
My wife and I played this over the weekend. And, we both really liked it. I thought it could use some tightening up of the board for 2 players, but otherwise really enjoyed our plays.
Thanks, Alex. I still have this game in shink .... I was drawn in by the city building theme with plastic buildings. Sounds like it will be a good game to play with my wife, who does not like complex games.
I am getting the same vibe from the game having read the rules. I need to table this. I don’t think I would get rid of it due to the theme being spot on since Cape May is our favorite vacation spot but I am expecting a lighter experience. I was a little disappointed in the primary color choices for the player colors as well.
Thank you for this review. To me this is a "vacation game," the theme of being in a resort area that one is working through has a nostalgic and getting-away-from-it all feel makes up for some of what may lack in actual game play. (Like going to the beach in the Santa Monica board game or some of the amusement park games.) It sounds like it might be fun and not overly taxing for some of the people that I play with who are more into casual games so it's one I plan to buy.

Yeah I wanted this game to grab me more than it does. It’s fine but I don’t ever want to play it. But if others do I will for sure.

Ty for the video!
Pass for me.
You saved me from having to test this one. Thanks for that.
I watched the review but your title sums it up perfectly. It's just not exciting enough. I rated it 6.1 on BGG and sold it after a few plays.
Weird seeing a game designed around Cape May NJ where I was born and raised
