Fantastic explanation Aram. As always, leading by example. Respect!
These videos are incredibly helpful and useful.
you make very good videos
why not make a video about rigging
Yes, please! A video about rigging is needed.
Hi Aram
As always I learn so much from your explanations and examples . It’s so clear how a wrong catch position can affect the effectivenes of the speed . I am new to skulling and was digging in blades too much . I can now I see clearly how it should be done snd why , thank you so much ! Please keep making these videos . One question , does this apply to rowing too ?
My pleasure!
Very nicely done!
I like the skateboard explanation
thank you
Aram, how can you tell by looking at someone whether they are sliding forward on the recovery or drawing the boat towards them? Thanks! And thanks for your videos.
It is the posture that looks different. You engage different muscles if you aim to pull, plus the hip+low back must be well connected and in a mid forward pivot...
Do you have an email? I need help figuring some things out about my row.
Hi. Any drill recommendations. I tend to open too early also.
Go to catch position, and push only with your legs, from there add upper body and then finally arms.
There's an in between version of this called "turtle rowing," where you do the leg drive completely and then pull with the arms, keeping your body over. It'll look and feel funny, but that's a good drill too
Press with the legs, hang with the arms…
