I've had a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS25 for about 10 years. The battery door fell off two years ago but that camera has taken the most amazing photos over ~10 years! Lumix = Love. :-)
Personally, I think the Sony RX100 serise and then the Canon G7X are among the top still for 2020 in terms of compact cameras. The Sony obviously isn't cheap, but if you want the best pocket-sized camera that packs many features of a modern dedicated camera, that is the one to get. The Sony has a shaprer lens, but the Canon is a quite a bit cheaper and still a good option for those who don't want to spend over $1000 on one of these. Or you can find one of the older RX100's, like the IV and V which are still very powerful even today.
It's always nice to see an informative review, but one major miss is that you should have given lens focal 35mm equivalent and minimum aperture for each of this camera. It's one of the crucial info that should be in camera reviews...

I have a question, is it possible to make a mid range bokeh background photo by using compact camera? Because I only know that the compact cameras can only make bokeh photos in short distance(macro).
Totally missed the Olympus cameras which r amazing, not to mention the small travel one that even takes photos underwater!! All weather and freeze proof!

The iPhone in the thumbnail would have a far brighter screen than the Ricoh, be water resistant, & not have dust on the sensor issues like the Ricoh. And not just the iPhone higher priced Samsungs would be the same. Ricoh/Pentax might be the next camera maker to go under.

Maybe he discounted it because he thought it was 1.3 lbs instead of .57 lbs. Sony is good for video but still photography belongs to the GR. Amazing flexibility and image quality.

I absolutely adore my Panasonic Lumix. It is the best I have found. The pictures sometimes turn out as deep as a DSLR.
Ricoh and Fuji are a lot better
