I’m not even hating on the man. If anyone gets being super picky, it’s me, but damn he might be the hardest sell on a chorus I’ve ever seen. Honestly, it’s become almost a challenge to think of a chorus that’ll win him over.

Are other people really fond of Tom’s choruses? I was always like Layedbak where I preferred his straight rap songs. Sometimes he has an okay chorus but they all sound kinda similar and borderline annoying. Idk, maybe just a stylistic preference. White Boy for example, was one of the few where I didn’t mind the chorus, whereas Straight White Male is probably my least fav.

DaRyuujin the word catchy is the problem I don’t like things that are trying to be catchy. Catchy means appealing to the masses catchy is too mainstream. I’m turned off by things that everyone else is into. His lyrics are solid but often the chorus is the weakest part of his songs.

Personally, I enjoyed the song. The chorus was simple and to the point, the beat was legit, and the production value was miles above some artists who've signed.. I knew immediately you wouldn't like the chorus. And I can agree that his choruses could be better. But honestly I didnt think a chorus can completely change your opinion of a song
I mean choruses take up about a third of a song. I liked most of the things he talked about, but it’s hard to like a song with solid verses but a very annoying chorus

I strangly like Toms choruses in alot of songs the chorus in this song was catchy but it had bit of corniness to it with the boo hoo wah wah wah a kid could write that chorus but the beat and song was overall great same with the message

I can understand your view about the chorus. But I think when it comes to Tom, he has already taken into consideration the way people are going to take the way he's saying things. One thing I appreciate about his courses is that I interpreted his course as trolling. There's a lot of his courses that are almost like poking at the people he knows are going to be triggered by this. Really has that little kid vibe. He knows going to piss you off so he's got that Nanana and a kind of sound to it. I could be wrong but that's how I take it. I think a lot of his courses with songs like this he is trolling the people who are going to take a negative spin. I actually think it's funny and appreciate what he's doing.
